The Nigeria factor killed Nigerian Airways. As it was in the day of Nigerian airways, so it is today.

There was a country indeed. The despair, pity and sadness I used to feel about this country has turned into absolute disgust

Nothing can be managed by Nigerians. Due to corruption nothing works and will never work.
This is a useless nation that has no national air carrier, no national shipping line, even the national hospital na nonsense that is why the useless leaders travel abroad, Ajaokuta steel complex and other steel rolling mills has been in everlasting coma. The refineries with all the billions pumped into it in the name of turn around maintainance (TAM) that one dey limp. That is how the future of this country is. Even the Devil has more hope than this doomed nation which over 3 million lives was sacrificed in 1967-70 on the altar of ONE NIGERIA.
Was ONE NIGERIA worth the blood and sweat?
Is this God forsaken nation worth dying for to
preserve its unity?
This useless country epitomizes waste of all kind- waste of human lives which has become so cheap, waste of natural resources, waste of money to finance the luxury of only a few who are the real citizens like Saraki, Dino, useless common sense senator Ben Bruce, hypocrite Shehu Sani not the vast majority of d docile masses who for them their citizenship has no worth as they ve been neglected by a govt who claims that its primary responsibility is the security and the welfare of its citizens which they have forever failed. You spend 75% of ur budget on recurrent, 25% on capital project. With all the money like constituency allowance, security votes, bogus and secret allownace of all the useless national and states assembly, governors, commisioners, special assistants, special advisers, ministers all the goats eating our yams. Imagine the huge difference that wud ve been made if it was invested in capital projects that wud not only create jobs and spread wealth to all thereby bridging the gap between the rich and the poor but also making life more meaningful for all and not a few. With 100% guarantee Nigeria has never and will never ve a bright future. If u like go do prayer crusade nothing good wud come the way of this doomed, cursed nation when d west least religious are light years ahead of this nation whose citizenship has no value than my poo

PapaBrowne:
A sad narrative of what Nigeria could have been and what it has eventually become.

And yet some old men who have no future think we shouldn't sit down and plot a new narrative for the future.

Trump is 75 years old, and he is plotting a new narrative for the future of America. Stealing and corruption has nothing to do with age, it's a culture in Nigeria. There are relatively young men and women in the senate who are part of the culture of stealing. I would rather have an incorruptible old leader than a corrupt young buffoon.

Lack of maintenance culture. Everywhere you go you see evidence of poor maintenance , ranging from our universities lab, government offices , government cars etc

We all know things have gone horribly wrong in the last 3 decades, but what's our generation doing with the vast amount of knowledge we have now? Complain, support the same set politicians that put us in this predicament, lament without proffering solution, abuse other tribes, waste valuable time on social media on subject with absolute no national interest, joke about serious issues, get involved in get rich quick scheme, continue suffering and smiling etc.

Everybody is feeling emotional on this thread about how the aviation sector in Nigeria is abysmal. How could a country of almost 200 million people, the most populous black country in the world, the country with one of the most travelled citizens in the world not have a national carrier? If you ask Nigeria youth what they think the solution is, they start flexing muscle on which tribe is better than which, or start singing praises of the same politicians that ruined everything.

Until Nigeria youth start thinking of how to make this country great by their actions, we will continue crying, and things will continue to get worse.

Good to see this here. From airport to airport I have often wondered at this eyesore. It's a shame.
I was at my favourite wheel balancing & alignment shop recently. 2 hrs of my time there, 10 cars, 3k each(NG 30k). And it was still 12 PM. U do the sum for a month!. My point? Most people, even graduates ignore daily income services sector. All they see is the dirt, presumed indignity on those who do them. An empty pocket from no job or underpaid job is far more indignifying. If u are learned, start small but grow it and employ others, u supervise. The same applies to this biz. Visit a good Phones & Tablets Repair centre & open your eyes. U will see it! Get " Mobile Phones & Tablets Repairs : A Complete Guide for Beginners & Professionals " 2day! All these dumbass youth talking trash here are the same ones that spy and ask their coursemates for answers in exam hall. They're the same ones that give and take bribes. They're the same ones that lie under oath.

Bunch of bloody shameless hypocrites. Let's judge ourselves first before judging the politicians.
