Omoluabi16:If you're not Igbo then, you are one of the few good hearts I have ever seen on this Niaraland, I'm one of the full blooded Igbos who has sworn to their Fathers grave never to again accept the union of Nigeria even if it means dying this minute but, a sincere spirit like yours is what it would take to bring my such back to love Nigeria again, unfortunately there are not many of you who would reason the way you reason. there case if much worse because Nigeria is not working for them and they don't even have a future to even wonder what Nigeria would look in the nearest future and how their life would be |

All these Yorubas that are always jumping on their threads unnecessarily, I tire for una. If we open Yoruba threads, we no go see una for there There is a clown on this thread that calls himself Yoruba but has never opened a single Yoruba related thread his whole life ![]() He might as well change his username to an Iborikiti one |

oluwalfa:Just imagine your life! that's to show we're not same kind of people, you're heartless, most you Yorubas not all, just imagine what is happening here on Niaraland you will learn that our real problem in is Yoruba and the reason is what I still can't understand. Godfullsam:Get your facts right abeg, Igbos called Ojukwu the highest ranking officer in Igboland who has the interest of the Igbos in heart and told him to declare Biafra Independence. |
| Re: Anambra State During The War (pix) by Omoluabi16(m): 5:13pm On Apr 14, 2017 |
NetBizguy:Na so. I'm not Igbo, and I am pro- one nigeria. The one nigeria I actually want is not this one. Still on the civil war, I have seen people celebrate it..like oh killed them. But we have woefully failed to fully reintegrate the biafrans and put the ghosts of that war away. It's shameful some people poke fun at others using the war experience. The only way I can convince you to believe in this country is by loving you and showing it. I expected buhari to put all secessionist to shame with good governance, then the mofo said that 5% stuff. I still believe this country will get better. If God wills we separate, then fine. But war no be am oh. |

Seeing these pictures ALWAYS take my mind to JP Clark's 'The Casualties'. Nigeria seemed the victor but the entire country pays today. Even after the collapse of the Aburi Accord, Ojukwu could have avoided the war but he could not as his motive was purely political. Most people don't even know what was contained in the Accord, yet, you see them say Gowon didn't honour the Accord from his end. Aburi accord is as follows:Truth is, the Accord had been agreed upon by all parties present, but its demands were much sensible, save for the number three which had not favoured Ojukwu, hence, the need to 'restart' the said decrees. Gowon prolly never understood what he signed until he returned to Nigeria and while Ojukwu was hell bent on seeing that the Accord was upheld, he never had prior plans for the war, save for tension everywhere and rumours of an eventual war which had settled most areas. It explains why the aftermath was too devastating, particularly towards the children from the Eastern Region. The interesting part here is, Ojukwu had a fair amount of food supply. And rather than ration the food among the people, particularly the children, the Eastern Military top officials at the time had more than enough for themselves and their families, just as Ojukwu. 'Personal stack-ups' didn't happen until the Nigerian government captured oil facilities in Port Harcourt. And with the leaked photographs of starving children, the international communities could not help but wade into the sad experience by sending relief items, which clearly didn't do much. In reality, the war was more important to Ojukwu than the welfare of the people he governed at the time. The war should have ended the moment Port Harcourt was blocked, but no, it continued for almost two more years, leading to massive deaths by starvation. The rest of the story, we all know. Oil remains a curse to Nigeria. Had it not been found or discovered, there would have been no war in the first place. And for those choosing death or biafra, I'd suggest you take some time to see the several videos on YouTube. PS: Biafra, till date, remains a political tool, just like it was back then. Our call should be something much more similar but sophisticated than the Aburi Accord - True Federalism and Resource Control. Until then, we might just be running in a vicious cycle. In the end, we all remained casualties. |

Sanchez01:This part really sounds funny to me. How in heaven's name are the powers that be going to agree to RESTRUCTURING (I guess that is what you are alluding to)... Anyway this thread has been successfully derailed for any meaningful argument. |
| Re: Anambra State During The War (pix) by Nwakaumu(m): 6:05pm On Apr 14, 2017 |
Sanchez01:OLodo,keep fooling urself that the present generation of Biafrans wil be discouraged to go war wit u invaders by watching youtube video as if we ve not seen you slaughter our kinsmen in onitsha,Ph and Aba recently in real life.we re just taking records so dat our deadly revenge, which mostl likely will be all out full scale brutal war would even be justified by peace loving pacifists around the world;we re putting them on notice of ur atrocities against our pipple. |

raker300:Caritas has been in many major wars. They were in Somalia, a country where most of the residents are Muslims. The Roman Catholic Church has always been selfless in this regard. So, take your blatant lie elsewhere. |
| Re: Anambra State During The War (pix) by Sanchez01: 6:24pm On Apr 14, 2017 |
eagleeye2:We don't need them to agree. The main reason they have been unfazed about restructuring is because we have not come out as one to voice out on this. Every region in this country is blessed, regardless, and we just have to look for a better way to making sense out of the madness we call democracy. |
| Re: Anambra State During The War (pix) by Sanchez01: 6:28pm On Apr 14, 2017 |
Nwakaumu:The great War chief. I know you are planning a full scale invasion and destruction on Nigeria. The irony of this would be to cry for help when, God forbid, it happens. Those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. I hope you put that at the back of your mind as you map out your full scale global destruction. |

| Re: Anambra State During The War (pix) by Sanchez01: 6:33pm On Apr 14, 2017 |
eagleeye2:It would, but trust me, it is not in any way close. A perfect example is seeing people take sides by laying their lives for corrupt public officials all in the name of party or interest. We are yet to understand how to hold officials accountable for their deeds and actions and this only indicate how we are not yet ready. I believe my signature says a whole lot on the power of one voice. The day we learn to use it, the day we advance as a people. |

Sanchez01:Your nigeria is doomed already,do you ever wonder why the largest refugee(IDP) camp in Africa is in the north east of nigeria, not mention the new one Springing up in Oshogbo, even when no country has declared war on them? |
| Re: Anambra State During The War (pix) by Sanchez01: 8:45pm On Apr 14, 2017 |
Nwakaumu:Ask yourself, are the 'Biafrian states' any better? Onitsha and Abia are considered as slums by the United Nations and Onitsha is described as the city with the world's worst air. My point exactly? The entire country is not doing well, save for a state or two and this has nothing to do with blind sentiments. Perhaps you want to tell me the world declared war on Onitsha and Abia state to make them unsafe and unhealthy for humans? Until we get our priorities right, we'll keep running in circles. |

obaaderemi:The pogrom was definitely horrible, absolutely avoidable. Eventually, those of us who were born after the events of those years can now look back with the benefit of hindsight and condemn them. Seems we are treading the same path again. |

Stop trotting out the halt truths and outright lies you've beenough told OK? "Killing of Igbos around every Conner of Nigeria (sic)" Can you prove that and can you tell us why they were being killed in every "Conner" of Nigeria? Show us How they were killed in the western region en mass and I'll believe you. |

Shows us the pictures of CBN looted by your fathers. Shows us the houses of non-indigenes hijacked by your fathers. Show us the body of Nigerian soldier, someones, father, uncle, son, son-in-law, killed by your fathers. Bunch of jokers, that are always ruled by their emotions and hollow chest beating. |
