birdman:West Warriors vs Blazers: Sweep. Spurs vs Grizzlies: Sweep. Rockets vs Thunder: This would actually be a competitive series. I think the duel should determine who wins MVP. I'd give Harden but wouldn't be too mad if Westbrook gets it. I just think the Rockets offense would be too explosive for OKC. This has a 7 game series potential. I am leaning towards 4-2 or 4-3 Rockets Clippers vs Jazz: Even without the injuries that have plagued the Jazz. I just think they don't matchup well enough to bother the Clips. But Clips gon Clips. Still I would pick the Clippers 4-2 |

A40:the grizzles will take two games at least, they match-up well with the spurs,no small ball type stuff. spurs bench quality will eventually win the series. Me70 will have to leave the Knicks now. |

SIRcumalot: Goodluck with that!!! Did you see his tweet after P. Jackson's interview? He posted a picture with L.D Caprio on the driver's seat, in the movie "The great Gatsby". That is a cryptic way of saying, i am in control of this situation. The Knick's would have to release Melo, and that has severe financial implications for the Knicks. Phil is performing a horrible job as president of the Knicks. Why did he give Melo all that money in the first place, and iced it with a no trade clause? Melo is a tough kid, if you know his story. I see him calling P. Jackson's bluff, and refusing any trades. Right now, he cares less about winning any rings, i think he has come to terms with that. The Knicks would have to release him to move him, and that means paying him all that money promised even without playing. Simply put, Melo holds the Aces in this situation. |

Donlittle:Does everything have to revolve around Westbrook?  I just watched and reviewed throughout the whole season and he outplayed all these MVP candidates and plays great on both ends of the court. The only reason he isn't averaging TDs is because it's all numbers and he's too busy playing offense and real defense while having the best record of all other candidates. |

SmooshCHN1: Kawhi is a system player so many feel he may not be that dynamic without the system. To add to that, he is less flashy and more discipline than the the other MVP candidates. But more than all of that, what works against Kawhi is the fact that Spurs appear like they can win a lot of games even without him. |

Eruditor:We'll see but maybe the NBA needs to forgo this MVP conversation. Many have been pushing (Marc Gasol) inclusive has said "Stats are killing the game". Just an eye opener that many in the NBA organization aren't fooled by numbers. |

Hmmm...My predictions go thus.... EAST CAVS 4 - PACERS 1. WIZARDS 4 - HAWKS 2. BOSTON 2 - BULLS 4. RAPTORS 4 - BUCKS 2. WEST WARRIORS 4 - BLAZERS 1. SPURS 4 - GRIZZLES 2. ROCKETS 2 - OKC 4. JAZZ 2 - CLIPPERS 4. You're free to criticise....  |

Eruditor: Your most valid reason wouldn't be it. Warriors would have still won a lot of games without Curry. They beat Rockets and Blazers in the playoffs without Curry. So... Kawhi is just less flashy as you said. He doesn't hunt for stats and not media competitive as the remaining 2. His humility doesn't help matters. This was just his 2nd season after that matchup in the finals with Lebron and he's killing it. Pop and his system play has downplayed him way too much. Put him in another team and he would wreck teams. I want him as MVP but the competition is too much this season |

Don't mind my conspiracy theory but why do I feel the NBA wants to somehow aid the Cavs with the play off schedules? Cavs open the playoffs ( a day before the Western big boys ) who would surely have a more gruelling series which may go no less than 6 games. Means the Cavs get to have extra days off. A lot of switching between both teams, The Pacers have tremendous length and size, however, they are not covering the weak sides leaving open guys. |
