Decale: You win Mr "Steph-Curry-is-having-a-Kemba-Walker-peak-season". I should have celebrated TD even if he would have still played well had he got 50points 9Rebounds and 10assists but I should not celebrate Harden whose team are on course to win 15 more games than anyone projected they would (on 13.5 as I type this)? I dey observe you with a pin-hole camera. |

Eruditor: You too petty. What does Curry have to do with this one? The question remains: Why are you celebrating Harden's TD against low lying Kings but criticizing another man's TD for bringing his team back against high arching Nuggets? Triple double no be triple double again? They are all overrated Someone cannot break NBA record in peace anymore. Lol 3 Likes |

Decale: Curry is there as evidence that you are sooooo unbiased. I didn't even criticize WB for beating the Nuggets. I simply stated how one other person's team did not need to be down in order to win dramatically but hypemen will not see it because...TD. |

Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 1:05am On Apr 11, 2017 |
I just checked the win difference between rockets and Houston, and it is not even up to double digits. Here I was thinking maybe the wins were 20 more than okc. I wouldn't do co mvp at all if okc was 8th in the league, I would give it straight to Harden. You lose two of your best players, came into the season, tied Oscar Robinson records, eliminated Denver from the playoffs with a game winning shot to eclipse 41 triple doubles. If you lose two of your players and did all of these, I don't understand why he shouldn't get it, by the way, I am perfectly fine with co-mvps. |

Donlittle: The media will give it to him but all that losing 2 best players talk is wishy-washy. His team is actually -5 in the W column from what was projected season-beginning while Harden's team is a hefty +13.5. See how ESPN rated both teams' players at the start of the season: Russell 5th Steven Adams 36th Oladipo 48th Kanter 80th Gibson 96th Mcdermott 190th Harden 8th Ariza 99th Anderson 89th Gordon 86th Beverly 160th Capella 92th Lou Williams 198th Harden does not have better players. I am reading articles by pundits all laughing at Rockets' trades and saying they would be lucky to get 8th seed. Now they are better because D'Antoni's system is working for them. Adams is a shadow of the player he was last season and I wonder why. Russell literally has had like 1000 shots more than the next man in OKC and has shot the ball 400 times more than Harden. They are both TO-vendors even though Harden leads there. It may come as a shock but Harden actually has Pundits are already going the RW way which is pathetic because OKC will not win 50 games. I feel for James Harden but it is what it is. |
Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 2:07am On Apr 11, 2017 |
What do you mean it is wishy-washy? you are dismissing Westbrook heroics trying to elevate Harden. It doesn't change the fact that he lost ibaka, and Kevin Durant and still managed 46 wins at the least* By the way, I wonder who is going to shoot the ball if Russell doesn't? Gibson, and McDermott were from trades. I am wondering if it's Adams that will become a shooter, or oladipo? Lets say kanter, cool, but he doesn't even start for okc because he can't defend to save his life. And when did we start following ESPN ratings? The ones that said labron will be the goat if he wins more one ring? The same ESPN pundits that thinks Kobe is number 12 or so on the GOAT list? Like I said, co-mvps is fine with me. All Hail the choking specialists. Choked in back to back OT games after having the games in their hands. The Cavs are an injury to LeBron from being a mediocre team, despite having 3 all stars. Or what do we say about 0-7 when he sits? |
Re: The NBA Begins by Nobody: 3:43am On Apr 11, 2017 |
Eruditor, tbh you need to stop referencing pre-season projections man, like WTF we've gone a full season , teams have made trades to better their sides, we've seen flops and surprises and all that and you still hold on to pre-seaosn projections like its an almighty formula. No man, the NBA is day to day. This season has defied logic. Yes Harden &â„¢Houston has surpassed expectations, but so has LeBron and Cavs fallen short. Yes Houston supporting cast weren't given much of a chance but that's what the game is all about. Who knows, DeRozan could catch fire in the playoffs and blitz all the way to a ring. The game is volatile. 2 Likes |

SmooshCHN1: I hope this decision does not haunt the Cavs. If there is any team i want the Celtics to avoid, it is the Pacers. They are playing some exciting basketball. They have size and perimeter play on both ends of the court. For the first time in a very long while, the first round of the Eastern conference is going to be very exciting. 1 Like |

Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 6:13am On Apr 11, 2017 |
Donlittle: The "pundits" said he would still win more than 50 games without KD and Ibaka. They are the same pundits now that will turn around and give him MVP for his team winning less than that. As per who will shoot the ball? It may shock you to know but Oladipo actually shoots the ball better than RW. And RW is as bad as Kanter defensively. The argument is not even about ESPN rating but about the false narrative about Harden having better players. I don't even like Harden like that but I think he did more to elevate his team and mates than RW. In another season, it would have been right to give a 6th-seeded superstar playing out of his mind to "help his team" but not in a season where someone else has just about the same stats with him and is actually 3 seeds better. And if co-MVP was on the line, that might work but it is not. Their body language (the voting media) appears like they would give it to RW. |

I really wish Jazz got that home court against Clippers today but sadly, Clippers just mauled the Rockets and they would most likely beat Sacramento in the last game. I would have preferred to play Jazz in the 2nd round than Clippers. |

Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 7:48am On Apr 11, 2017 |
SmooshCHN1: It is because we have beat Clippers too often that I don't want them. Forget Jazz, they were playing out of their minds today and Kerr was afraid they would injure his starters. If that game was a do or die, they would not have won shii. On the other hand, the Clippers will try to go dirty just to avoid embarrassment and the game could turn to a slugfest. The Celtics are only undermanned offensively but they are better than the other teams you mentioned. Raptors because of Lowry's injury and Wizards are puny mentally. I have seen that they are a team that would rather whine than do the business and they care so much about how they are perceived even when losing. They also do not want to be held responsible for their own contributions as it were. That would never take them far. |

Roland17: You know people do say 'You are more likely to win when you're selective about the races you enter'. So, I think it would be better play the Pacers in first round and then avoid the Wizards in the second round of the playoffs. As for the Celtics, I don't expect you to drag the ECF series to 7 games, that is if we ever get the chance to meet ![]() |

Be like the Cavs don forfeit that 1st seed. As it stands though if the Bulls and Heat win their final games the Pacers have to win as well else they are out |
Re: The NBA Begins by Eruditor: 4:21pm On Apr 11, 2017 |
Donlittle: Just like earlier in the season when the All-star ish was being discussed, I was not of the opinion that Russell did not deserve it, I was only explaining how he wasn't "cheated" when he did not start. Again I am not saying he is not in the MVP conversation at all but that I believe James Harden is more deserving. RW is sharing the ball more than he used to? 100% yes. Offensively he is so efficient etc etc. But Harden is doing the same for his team. He is the first NBA player ever to have 2000+ points and 2000+ assists in a season. Harden makes his game simple so it appears it is less appreciated. The best way for one to understand how great Harden has been even in the assist dept is to realize that he is assisting more than Rondo did last season with Sacramento (when he was evidently sacrificing his and his team's offense just to rack up assists). Russell is on 32/10.4/10.7 and that is otherworldly but Harden is not far behind with 29/11/8. I remember 2006 or so when Kobe averaged 37 PPG and placed his team in 4th but Nash won the MVP with 19/12 due to a higher seeding. The funny thing is I don't even like Harden. But this will be a 3rd year straight where he is going to finish 2nd in the MVP race. In 14/15 he had better stats than Curry but they said Curry's team achieved more and that he elevated their game so they voted him. In 15/16 Harden lost because Curry played like an Alien and his team won 73 games. This season Harden will not get it because (unlike 14/15) he is playing with "better players" (which did not matter when Curry won in 14/15). I actually want Harden to win it out of pity. Left alone, I would have wanted Isaiah Thomas to win it if the Celts finish top but people barely mention his name. |
