Part for part.
A peugeot compressor can't be better than a Mercedes own.

You are welcome.
Unfortunately, I can't help you with mechanic.
Ask around your area, ask Benz owners in your vicinity.
Someone must know someone that knows somebody.
Goodluck.

. . . bros, this is a w203 C-Class and not an E-Class Mercedes. As for the Pros and Cons, i will leave that to those who have used one to comment. I only used the previous w202 model of it.

hi Everyone
i bought a 1991 600sel V12 from Germany last year December. it drove pretty well when i brought it from Lagos. Though hardly driven,i noticed that anytime i drive it within a short distance of 1Km free high way or leave it steaming idle for 20mins or thereabout and i open the water reseviour, the out pour is like a burst pipe spilling out HOT water. the temperature guage is at 80.the mech says its termostart (the termostart is 87 degree).

another thing i noticed,is that throttle pedder, will some be hard when depressed and the car will be moving like its dragging or ladden with a heavy load and on rear occasion, when the pedder goes light, the car actually moves like a V12. Also,i always smell fuel from the tail pipe when the car is idle steaming and on movement, its fuel consumption is high. it took me 50ltrs of fuel from Ore to Asaba with my A/c on but now,i really doubt if 50ltrs will get me to Ore.can anyone help out with possible solutions
Gracias

you are going to destroy your car by yourself. why should you be opening a car's expansion reservoir why the engine is hot or working? You stand the risk of scalding yourself and you are wasting coolants at the same time.
As for the heavy pedal, i think it is from your own end, benz with heavy engines require extra throttle at take off especially if you have been speeding for a while but comes to a stop and you want to pick up again. All you need to do is depress the pedal a little harder and then ease off a bit.
Finally, there is nothing wrong with your thermostat, don't allow any kazeem tamper with it. At 80 degree, your car should even be working suboptimally but i suspect it is because you hardly drive it as stated. Endeavour to take it on a long drive and you will get almost 90

you are going to destroy your car by yourself. Why should you be opening a car's expansion reservoir while the engine is hot or running? You stand the risk of scalding yourself and you are wasting coolants at the same time. Secondly, what do you stand to gain by idling a car for 20 minutes? The best way to warm a car or get it to the optimum operating temperature is to drive it.

Hello house. I have a 2002 C240 and the AC does is not getting cold while am driving but when I park and rev the car to 30xrpm the AC will start to get cold but when I stop reving it, it starts heating up.
Secondly when driving on the high way and I slow down at a check Point, the throttle does not respond on time. What do I do. Thanks for your help in advance.

You have a failing AC compressor, the variable displacement compressors In W203 are known to wear out. And yours is exhibiting "low pumping". The throttle not picking up quick is attributed to a number for factors amongst which are,
1. Those cars have a lil lag in throttle and aren't like Japanese cars that pick and go rapidly.
2. Throttle pedal, throttle body, MAF, pump may be defective.

That said, run a scan to know the challenge you are facing before throwing parts at it indiscriminately.

If you're in Abuja, I will run a subsidized scan plus detailed diagnosis for you.

Look carefully at the dashboard side panel upon the opening of the driver's door. You see a child seat airbag warning sticker. That is supposed to be at the right side for a lefthand drive car. Because of make we manage parts, this is always reused.

Good day house,

I just bought a C320 2005 model from a friend. This is my first car ironically. I am so naive I have never used a car before talkless of Benz.

I would like to ask some questions.

1. Where can one check for oil level in the car or dash board.
2. Where can one topup coolant(not water) in the car? Or how often do I have to top up the water on average?
3.what other things do I need to know about maintenance?

Can someone or an expert answer this question.
Am buying my own c320 this week. I need adequate knowledge of it. Am a first car owner.

i am not sure anyone has responded to this issue yet. I will share my own case, could be the answer to your question. I own a 2004 C240 base model, the Mercedes compressor failed, then i was advised to work a Peugeot compressor on it, which they showed me on some other cars that it has been used on before, then i agreed. I installed the compressor, then i noticed my car drags and the transmission started changing late. I consulted my mechanic and after diagnosis, he concluded that the compressor power is much, because the car would drive great without AC on and once you put on the AC, even on speed, you would feel the drop in power and most when you are at a stop and want to rev up to. I am still on the issue as i am yet to have time and go back to the AC man and I called him, he claimed he has been using the same compressor for other benz cars. I will appreciate if anyone has been in this shoe before to share their experience on here.

Good day house, i need your help on this please. I saw a clean Tukumbo Mecedes Benz C230 Kompressor 2006 model last week and was about to seal a deal with the car owner then suddenly my friend got to know about it and advised to go for the V6 sport instead of the Kompressor. His reasons were Kompressor is more problematic and our mechanics do not understand it.
Help me decide pls. Thank you as you respond.
