It all depends on maturity of both parties. I still do business with my ex but my wife knows her as my ex and her fiancee knows me as her ex as well. So we have drawn the lines to stick as family friends and no border crossing is possible.

No I can't be friends with my ex. I don't date my friends. What ever caused the breakup, be it good or bad it's better we go back to the default mood of not knowing each other. For me I know who I will date and who is just gonna be my friend. There is a feeling that distinguish both. That's why I said we can't go back to be friends because I don't date my friends.
