Part 5...post delivery(last part)

My mum came the nxt day...thank God finally... Lol...we were going to be discharged on Monday but doc said baby had jaundice... On a bilirubin's level of 9. So I was discharged that Monday and baby was admitted on monday, dey commenced photo therapy on her....by Monday my breast was running but it wasnt coming out too much...dey kept checking her sugar level which was OK...I had to buy baby food for her...and d nurses fed her tru syringe...but by Tuesday my breast was flowing very well...I was even leaking breast milk I had to use my breast pad...the pap I took with milk brought it out...baby jaundice level dropped on Tuesday...den increased on wed...so dey couldn't discharge us, we were hopeful...praying that by Thurs It shd av dropped...on Thurs they checked and it indeed dropped...so we were discharged... D docs said after 5 days of d baby's birth if if d jaundice level drops den it won't come up again, I was encouraged to feed her too bcs d light she was under expels d bilirubin's (wat causes jaundice) tru her poo and urine...so see me always praying for her to poopoo...lol...we were discharged on Monday and asked to cmbk on Saturday to do a final test to knw weda it av cleared...so on Friday morning my mum took baby out in d sun, and we spent like 45mins outside...I heard sun works faster Dan d photo therapy light...on Saturday we took her back and did d test...to d glory of God ...it dropped from 7.3 to 3.4( level of bilirubin) doc told us to go home that she's OK now...

As for my episionomy site... Nna ehh d thing is very close to my anus...the asked me not to do the sitz bath..if not my stitches will melt...I shd only clean with warm water and disinfectant... Den mk sure I wash and dry d place after using d toilet...I also chcnge my pad weneva its full...so as to kip d place from being infected...so far so gud...it has been healing... D pain isnt much anymore... I was given diclofenac to insert in my anus for 3 days bcs of pain....den sum oda routine drugs...
Vigilante for me isn't so bad...this sum days she can wake up at nyt for like 5 times max while sum days once or twice or thrice...
I give God all d glory for seeing me tru this journey... But I CNT help but think how it will be wen nxt I start my 2nd missionary journey... With d whole labour pain am now thinking if this my obsession with twins will work oo but I leave evryfin to God...

Part 4 labour and Delivery

So wen we got to the hospital... The nurse checked my bitals , my husband called my gynae but he wasn't in d hospital... He told us not to worry that anoda doc will handle It no wahala...while in d hospital I felt anoda fluid come out...so after my vitals dey took me to the labour room...I and my husband was dre..with d nurse waiting for the doc...doc came later and said he was going to do a VE for me to knw how far I av gone....na dre film start...this doc put his hand inside me each time he did he kept complaining that he couldn't feel my cervix....he kept telling d nurse "its like her cervix is posterior... Chai...ontop d pain am feeling... He kept saying madam am sorry ooo I just av to find ur cervix...lol...me I was alrdy in serious pain...begging him to remove his hand...this went on and on...he said I was alrdy 4cm dilated DAT baby head was engaged...and I was 3cm yesterday wen doc did d membrane sweep for me...so he said he was going to burst my water so that I cn dilate faster...while I was recovering from d VE pains dey went to get dre tools from d steriliser... With what looked like a scissors with a clamped mouth the doc inserted his hand to locate my cervix and with d oda hand inserted d scissors... (I was so scared bcs I just had d feeling that he was going to cut off my clittoris hahaha) he kept trying to locate my cervix...he was telling me to release my body bcs I was stiffening myself bcs of d pain...hmmmm finally after inserting his hand like (didn't count but was close to 10 times if not more)he ended up bursting my water but only little fluid came out..hahhh...he started contemplating oo if truly my water av burst...he kept inserting his hand and d scissors... For where? no sign of water...so he told d nurse to gv me a pain reliever... And wait to knw how far ...dey were monitoring my contraction and baby's heartbeat(which was OK) but contraction was irregular... By den husby av gone back to his working place to put things in order and also bring my hospital bag....with what started by 2.... By 6pm doc came bk and checked and I was 6cm dilated...so he was like dey were going to argument with hot drip if not I would have long labour .... Tho I av started feeling just mild cramps with each contraction. D nurse was like "this one is small, u are still pressing ur fone, wen d real thing starts den u won't remb u av fone sef, my husband was like "God forbids she won't av labour pain, supernatural delivery is her portion"...me sef said amen" nurse was just laughing... She said we needed d pain for labour and without it we won't be able to push...I and dh kept confessing saying " our case is diff" OK o...that nurse later left and anoda one on night duty came...she brought the drip and by 6pm d drip was alrdy inserted..doc said roughly in 2 hrs I shd be fully dilated bcs I was 6cm by den...dey wanted my contraction to be regular... My dear mamas it wasn't even up to 5-10mins wen I started feeling pains around my waist and back, d contraction became regular.... It was coming with a force I CNT explain... My anus was on fire...every position on d bed was very uncomfortable... Dey didn't allow me lie on my back....only by d side....chei...from mild pain...d contraction started coming with intense pain...as if I was going to give birth tru my anus....I called my husband to get my bag...that one was busy complaining... That d areas is too much on him, hmmm I no even ans am...bcs he didn't knw d kinda pain I was feeling... By 7pm I was alrdy seeing stars...I was crying...begging God...plz ooo father help me this pain is too much...we had an agreement that u won't feel pain plz help me" infact I just let thinking and saying in my hrt..lord let this cross pass me by ooo...each time d contraction hit me I felt like poking...d force ehh was just too much in my back waist region and anus, I would shake like sum1 whose convulsing.I held dre window...and was shaking it so hard..d nurse kept complaining and shouting... Madama abeg dnt spoil our window...chai...I was shouting and crying ... I told d nurse " nurse u wont understand" with tears in my eyes...she just laughed and said "I understand bcs am a mother too sorry ehh it will soon be over"... nurse kept telling me not to poo...if not I would tear my insides abi perineum...hmmm nxt thing I left the window and held d drip handle ( that long iron stuff for hanging drip...if d contraction hit me I will hold it so strong like I want to break it...and focus all my energy on it so that I won't be able to push...at d same time I will stiffen my body from my waist dwn to my legs... Each time dey were telling me dnt push...d contraction was becoming vry regular.. Like 1min apart...that was around to 8...my husband came and stayed with me...so each time contraction comes I will use his arms to suppress d pressure... I would hold his arms so tight and even dig my fingers into dem...am sure it was very painful but he couldnt complain seeing me in so much pain am sure he was ready to cut off d arm sef and dash me....I was crying and telling him to help me...as if sum1 gave me punishment...if d contraction comes and he's talking I will slap his arms to shutup bcs his voice was irritating me alrdy...by 5mins yo 8 I started begging nurse or doc to check me...d nurse was like its not 8 yet...hahhh this time d urge to poo was very powerful..I kept screaming... " I CNT hold it allny longer.. I want to poo ooo nurse I CNT hold it ooo" so she went and called d doc ....he checked me and told d nurse that he couldn't feel my cervix again that baby av started coming out...(guess that meant I was fully dilated) dey we're just taking dre time to get dressed and prep dre tools...chai...nxt I was asked to sit up raise my head Luke am looking at my navel...den hold my two legs open....(imagine I had to do that with d pain and frequent contraction) den I was asked to push when d contraction comes...I felt contraction and den I pushed with force even shouting in d process...dey shouted at me oo said its not like that oo...dnt shout just push like u want to poo..I did d 2nd time and my baby head crowned...as doc said I shd push for d 3rd time I felt him cut me...(wasn't so painful bcs d labour pain was killing me) as I pushed d 3rd time my baby head poped out...I wanted to rest ooo dey said no I shd push at once, that I shdnt break it...I used all d power left in me and with d 4th push my baby gal slipped out crying her lungs out...menhhh d relief I felt ehhh...I CNT explain...its like dey poured cold water on me...all I kept saying was God thank u, doctor thank u nurse thank u..lol...I was so weak...doc numbed sum areas in my vjay....and started suturing...it wasn't painful bcs of d injection he gave me thank God, what was painful was d pad he kept forcing into me to stop me from bleeding... Wen he was tru suturing I was transferred to anoda room and my baby was brought to me...I just kept looking at her...she was so peaceful... Smelling like a new born...wasn't even hungry or crying for food...I was happy about that too bcs my breast wasn't flowing yet...I was so tayad and happy at d same time...Finally my princess was here...

A cerclage is a surgery done to tie up the cervix to prevent or treat cervical incompitence, usually done from 12wks upwards,painless but uncomfortable with little or no bleedinng and done under general or spinal anastesia.

Let me try bs is birth story ,ba is birth alert ,dh is dear husband, MIA is missing in action ,EDD is expected delivery date,VE is vagina examination ,LO is little one (our darling small cutes either in d womb or in our arms)

I think it is safe to use.my doc prescribed one for me yday and a particular cough syrup due to serious cough am experiencing.

Mommies, I have been so scared since yesternyt. I took septrin for dix stubborn cough I developed dat hurts my chest like 3times beliving it was safe for me o as per 3rd trimester tin... I called my mom to ask her if it was safe sha since she prescribed ampiclox for me initially and she was like dey dont administer septrin for late pregnancy.. She no yarn me d side effects but I have been scared o and google isnt saying anytin encouraging. Plz reply a concerned me?

Cerclage is a procedure for treatment of cervical incompetence or insufficiency, when the cervix starts to shorten and open too early during a pregnancy causing either a late miscarriage or preterm birth.

I never knew incompetence cervix could be corrected by just raising one's buttock up with bed rest and that someone can still carry pregnancy to full term without cerclage.

That raising buttocks nd legs up with no pillow to d head was really discomforting... I even continued it at home for, ...but finally it was God..

I'm literally peeing every five mins
