If you pastor read the book of Malachi 3 to back up tithe, tell him/her that is a lie.

The book of Malachi is specifically written to the people of Israel not Christians.

Always tell them to start from chapter one of Malachi and see whom it was address to.
exactly

The entire Old Testament isn't meant for any other people but the Israelites.

According to the stories in the Bible, God only cared for and protected the lineage of Abraham(Israel) alone. He destroyed and killed people of other race and tribe for their sake. He was particularly concerned about the Jews... if our African ancestor's happen to have been in the path of the Israelites journey, most of us would probably not exist(going by the stories).

It (yahweh) always felt jealous whenever they disobeyed its instruction. This it always made sure they pay with their lives or through suffering.

If not for the twist in the New Testament, we would all be enemies of Yahweh. The love of yahweh wasn't all inclusive before this era.

The only time other people were accepted into Yahweh's loving-kindness was when a carpenters son born out of wedlock claimed to be the special sacrifice that could please it, and thereby he changed his mind towards other nations.

It is evident that those old testament books were the religious manuals jealously written for only the special race in the entire world (jews); at the time, none of you were important. Although it wasn't your fault, but that of the first ancestor's (Adam and Eve) who offended it.

(All written objectively)
Hahaha can't stop laughing.
Interesting review.
Your review of the old Testament makes it look like a Fiction book. Meaning the things didn't happen.
Please tell me. Is the old Testament a Fiction or Non-fiction book?

The bible can be classified among ancient historical mythological writings such as the works written by Homer, Herodotus, sappho etc.

Just imagine that Africans had a written-culture; and someone wrote about the stories of Orunmila, Obatala, Sango, Omadioha, and the likes. They would present them as actual events that played out in history. All authors of such writeups about the same historical figure will definitely share same attributes and character even though there would be slight twist to the tales.

The ancient Greek people believed in Zeus, Hercules, Poisedon, Hades etc as gods that existed in real life. They also held that their gods were concerned about them, (just as Yahweh did for Israelites) and interfered in their battles. Zeus their head-god sometimes descends from Olympus(heaven) to have sexual intercourse with beautiful female humans who later had sons that were strong warriors who saved them in tough battles. (Ring a bell? The Jews are still expecting one of such godchild to come to their rescue..)

The bible is a work of history written by primitive men to account for past events which has been twisted by exaggerated tales, folklores, and myths.

And this stories were very useful in times of war.

How best do you motivate your soldiers to win a war in those 'dark' days?

All you need to do is make them believe the gods or god is on their side.

It's a shame Africa lost its histories because they lacked a written culture. Most of us will not be easily convinced that the jewish god is special.

Thanks for your response. Another interesting analogy. You tried to take a position but stopped short of saying that the Bible is a Fiction. Because you know it is not. The Greek mythology you made reference to is not a Fiction story either.
That certain humans existed with magical or miraculous powers is not myth because today's humans don't have those powers. It is no longer news that archaeologists have un-earthed an ancient city that seemed to have been destroyed in a war. And carbon dating of artefacts from the location is around 1250 BC coinciding with the "mythological" period of the Greek vs Trojan war in which accounts of gods and goddesses interference in affairs of man were recorded. The location, modern Turkey. Is it still fiction? Who wrote the fiction?
That there haven't been Giants in your time, does not make the story of Goliath or Arhuanran that sweeps his premises with a palm tree in ancient Bini a myth. Does it?

That these stories give account of the culture and believe of some people in some unseen gods and a supreme God doesn't make it a myth just because some others are atheists. Neither were they stories written to encourage warriors as you said. For instance what is encouraging to modern day Israel in a 40-year sojourn in the wilderness to believe and worship God AND still hold dear the practice of the Passover Feast. Are these mythology?

Yes, they are all myths.

There are modern myths too.

How else do you expect primitive men to explain events they don't understand?

I'm sure you also believe in Santa Claus, Wili Wili, Mammy-water, Bigfoot, and the likes.

You, my friend, are the one being intellectually dishonest.

If you believe in unicorns and flying horses, talking snakes and a day the sun stopped moving... why would I not assume you believe in Santa claus?
