VERY, VERY HIGH RISK ENTRY INTO STOCKS For everyone knowledge, there are some certain entries into trades that are classified as high-risk. The probability of winning is very low; maybe in 100 occurrences 30 of such will be successful while the other 70 will end up in a loss. One of such is called: FALSE BREAKOUT/TURTLE SOUP A false breakout occurs (using buy scenario) when stock price moves above previous swing high or previous resistance level but pullback immediately below the resistance. Mostly, it is to deceive people into believing bulls have finally taken over, caused them to buy the stock before it falls... The chart below is a typical example of a false breakout. The black horizontal line is the established resistance and later in the month of October, price moved above it and brought many to buy the stock, but what happened later? Price pullback causing panic and invited lot of bears... HOW TO TRADE A BREAKOUT Breakout is good and many times provide exceptional profit, only if we are cautious and be patient. 1. One way to trade breakout is to see if the breakout is accompanied with high volume. If there is high volume, then the likelihood of the price to continue high is increased. 2. Another way is to wait for price to pullback to the value zone before entering the trade... See chart 2 PLAN YOUR TRADE AND TRADE YOUR PLAN. 2 Likes 1 Share

locodemy: Abeg represent us well. Most importantly, try to have an aside with someone from their investor relations and get the person's contact. One key issue is how they book their forex income and gains. Most of it were booked in Q3/Q4 in 2016 leading to a leap in profitability. These went on to reflect in FY2016. Such money is still being made but not yet booked in Q1 2017. Please find out how and when they booked it in 2016 and how and when they'll book it in 2017. Am not in this bus though. If I were in it, Thats what I would be most concerned about. 1 Like |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YiLnkASUmE8 Nigerian stock exchange activity rises after government weakens currency Barely 48 hours after the Central bank of Nigeria introduced the new forex window for foreign investors to trade, market activity at the Nigeria stock exchange is up. Stocks rose by 28 basis points Tuesday. The apex bank says it would allow investors to trade the naira at rates determined by the market, a move the regulator hopes will increase the amount of dollars available. |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dh2gLKc_Sv8 Nigeria weakens currency further, yet to attract investors Nigeria has weakened its currency, the naira for investors but it may still struggle to attract dollars. Analysts say that the country must scrap its system of multiple exchange rates to reap from devaluation. Nigeria's Central Bank said on Monday it would allow investors to trade the naira at rates determined by the market in a move intended to improve the supply of dollars. But, it seems that only introduced yet another exchange rate. Nigeria already had five rates: the official rate, the black market rate, a rate for Muslim pilgrims going to Saudi Arabia, a retail rate set by licensed exchange bureaus and a rate for foreign school fees. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by pluto09(m): 11:48am On Apr 28, 2017 |
austinkenneth: The huge forex gain they booked last year was made possible by the official devaluation of the naira. That kind of profit is not sustainable since it doesn't come from their core banking operations. Prior to the release of fcmb q1 result, I made a reference to this particular issue where I tried to alert our people that the result might be disappointing since most of their profit in 2016 came from forex gain. As long as there is no official devaluation of the naira this year again, bank like fcmb will find it difficult to make the kind of profit they reported last year 1 Like |

PETERiCHY: FCMB OFFER=16million BID=ZERO. No more TA & SA.the reality is done on us so everywhere is now as quiet as graveyard. Honestly if I'm LOCO at that AGM meeting I will make sure i aim LADI's head with a broken bottle atleast that might serve as deterrent from playing with shareholders funds. Imagine paying 10kobo dividend and indirectly taking 50kobo from the same shareholders. When the frustrated shareholders end up selling they will now use their MM to bid it up again and the circle goes on and on. NSE is the biggest fraud of all time *ThE OcToPuS*
