Are there airlines doing sales promo at the moment? The prices of tickets I have been seeing lately can give someone a heart attack! What are the cheapest airlines you've found so far?

Please let me know if you find any.

You should hve just mentioned childbirth and vacation straight away]Good Morning House,

I need your advise, last week i went for my visa interview, planning to go on vacation with DH… I was denied, without further info, tho i stated that I’m pregnant and in the future i will like to use the same visa for child birthing if only the VO cared to listen. Here was our conversation.

Me: Good morning
VO: Why are you traveling to the US
Me: Going on a vacation with my DH
VO: Why Florida
Me: Well my husband cousin lives there and promise to make it worthwhile
VO: what do you do
Me: so so so and so
VO: Traveled before
Me: No

All in between he was typing and well i told him i am also pregnant and hoping to use the visa for childbirth when due.

Well now the point is DH wants me to go for another interview in coming weeks so we can still go for the vacation and also be more prepared as my answers where flat but after reading this thread i think its better we forget the vacation and wait for when my bump is out then i prepare for child birthing interview with all necessary details as i have gathered from here. I don’t think i want to risk going through that disappointment never again.

Please what you guys think?

dh & dw: no, this is our first
all this time, he is typing
vo: (brings passports and two yellow papers and hands them over) sorry, you can not be allowed into the US at this time.

**Canadian visa application was unsuccessful as they said we could not prove that we will return to Nigeria at the end of our stay and also insufficient travel history even though we have been to SA, UK and South Korea

2nd US visa appointment (Lagos)
online application: going alone to Houston. I have a host this time, a colleague.

me: about 16,000 USD sir
all this time, he is typing.
vo: (brings my passport and a blue paper and hands them over to me) sorry, but you cannot be allowed into the US at this time.

Arco, I try to reply ur mail but it keeps bouncing back to me saying failure to deliver. I use to reply to emails b4 but right now I don't know what d problem is. Anyway guess something is wrong some where.

Let's try to break the back of the beast.. Quite frankly, I'm not familiar with the technical mailing aspect of nairaland, but I reckon you need to "follow back in order for us to get connected and communicate effectively.

Let's hope this works!

Whomever gave you the advice to dress in that matter is very misinformed since it would seem you are trying to misrepresent. Im not quite certain you understand what you are doing and how things work. I recommend reading this whole thread from start to finish as if you actually wanted to know all the information needed for such an important decision and you wanted to be informed for yourself and not take this decision based on other people's opinions.

Hello house,

I have been a silent reader and must commend u guys for all your efforts on educating peeps like me on childbirth in the US. I renewed my visa first week in October 2016 and found out I was pregnant in late October 2016. Sent in my change of intent letter in December 2016, got a response that I should send in my passport details and name as it is on my passport. I did that then got the generic response.

So in the spirit of giving back, will like to share my POE experience with you all.

Left Gidi on the 30th April for Chicago on Emirates airline, every was smooth just that the flight was long.
Fast forward to JFK, i met the cbp officer and the interview went like this:

CBP: where u coming from?
Me: Nigeria
CBP: what u here for?
Me: vacation and childbirth
CBP: how many weeks are you?
Me: 33 weeks
CBP: when are you due?
Me: June 10,2017
CBP: who you staying with?
Me: my uncle and his wife
CBP: how much do you have on u?
Me: 9660$ cash and some on my card
CBP: ok gimme some minutes

He took my passport inside and at this point I am like God just take control and I kept praying in my mind.

Next he came outside stamped me in as B2 till October 2017 and said have a nice stay.

That's how I entered ooo and moved on to agriculture, scanned 2 of my bags and I was on my way....
Flew Emirates to JFK then south west jet airlines to Chicago midway airport. Now in Chicago chilling for Lo to arrive... hehehe... thank God.
Thank you guys for every.

PS: I ll like to say we shouldn't always discourage peeps that renew their visa and decide to go for childbirth instead of vacation as stated when renewing cos once u have sent in your change of intent letter, have enough cash and say the truth then you should be fine.

Thank you guys again.

Morning Good People. Quick one.

I want to get a visa for my babies(twins) cos the Nigerian consulate in New york has problems/delays in issuing naij passports .

When i called the airline to get one way tickets, i was told my babies might be denied entry in lagos cos they are US citizens who ideally they should get return tickets since they are to a foriegn country.

My question is has anyone recently travelled with their newborns to naija with one way tickets and nigerian visas. If yes, what was your experience like with immigration officials.

Thanks

It was hitch-free. No issue at all @MURITALA MOHAMMED INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT LAGOS. Infact, they just look only at my daughter passport and they didnt bother to check mine and i have only one way ticket through Turkish Airline(I will not advice you to go with them) stupid and crazy airline.
