Visa Timeline

11/03/17 - Online application (submitted and fully paid)
17/03/17 - Biometrics appointment at TLS VI
17/03/17 - Supporting documents posted from Lagos via DHL
20/03/17 - Response from UKVI Sheffield confirming receipt of application
20/03/17 - DHL delivery date for supporting documents
28/04/17 - Application Assessed email from TLScontact
28/04/17 - Application Ready for Collection email from TLScontact
xx/xx/xx - Supporting documents returned in UK
02/05/17 - Passport collected
18/05/17 - Date visa valid from

Strangely, I am unable to track the prepaid envelope on Royal Mail with the ref number I have. I just keep getting a "Please come back later" status message. But, I imagine that if UKVI had problems with the prepaid envelope they would have emailed me by now, so I have no reason to worry.

Good Evening house, I am a silent follower and this forum has helped in collating my documents. I went for my biometric registration today at Ikeja and I was told that the don't collect any supporting documents again from applicants. I was told to send it to their UK address.

My husband told me to send my documents to him so he can add his own documents ( because we thought that we were going to submit our evidences separately). Is that the right thing to do? Or are suppose to send it separately. Also, what's the deadline for the submission of the supporting documents? Thank you
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by tosine: 8:15am On May 04, 2017
Send your documents to your husband who will eventually send all documents as one package to Sheffield. You are to send in your documents as one not separately.

You have 2 weeks after the day of biometrics to send in your supporting documents to Sheffield.

Remember to put your application no on the self addressed envelope when sending your documents and also state if it's a priority visa.

As at February it was 47,500. I'm not sure if the fee still remains the same as of today.

Yes, same day. Only if there is a complicated issue with your xray result which I doubt can be your case.
I'll suggest you call them and book an appointment.

Thanks. I put my travel date as 29 May...don't ask why. I wish I hadn't. That's why the "valid from" is so far away. Looks like they try to give you a month of validity around your travel date, so be aware of that.

NARIC is based in UK, cost is about 120 pounds or there about (check their website), mine took 2-3days, yes it is possible to make a statement on your Ukraine certificate (statement of comparability of your degree and English language proficiency ), u should submit your degree certificate, transcript from ukraine, and letter from your university in ukraine stating that English was your medium of instruction or language of study during your program. then scan and upload them to NARIC.

Hello Richdopeboi,
We are in similar situation, i submitted my online application on 14th February, biometrics on the 16th ( Abuja TLS) . I have requested for updates through the email form and response is always the generic "still under progress" or so. I am beyond anxious and tired of waiting...wish i did the priority in as much as i had a transit visa refusal from Germany 5 years ago.

I don't understand, does having a refusal have anything to do with the type of application, I ask this cos I also has a refusal from UK about 4 years ago with m passport impounded sef, and I want to do a priority visa as well. gurus.. @lexusgs430 and everyone please answer me ohh

Hello EvaMD,
There is eligibility criteria to use the priority service on TLS website. I even wrote to the UKVI through the email form before submitting my application regarding my visa refusal history and they advised me not to bother buying the priority service. Your own case might be different though.

Sorry about how long you have had to wait. A number of people applied priority here and got their passports back after about 30 working days. They may be having a high volume of applications .. try to distract yourself

When should I start counting?is it day the application was submitted online or the day the biometrics was taken? My biometrics was taken almost two weeks after the online submission.Someone should please help me.
Re: UK Spouse Visa/Appeal Process-part2 by Bibra800: 5:58pm On May 10, 2017
I read somewhere here that you should count from the biometrics day.Counting from the submission of online application would be a waste as they didn't have any documents to assess your application .
