Hey guys!! So here is my story. I joined Nairaland in 2013 because of this thread. I wanted to travel way before that time but my folks couldn't afford it. I dedided to forget about Canada and work. I can afford to pay my tuition and accommodation for a year now and the only people that can give me a statement as sponsors are not even my family members. Its that going to be a problem? I want to study Film production at George brown college.

Can you please give us a brief summary of your profile? Academic background, experience etc... That way we can offer suggestions

Hey Guys....Goodmorning

Please i want to ask;

1) Is it crucial to make payment of tuition fees before submitting study permit application?
2) Between the Online and Paper route, which is safer, and faster
3) For paper route submission, is biometrics done at once?
4) How has submitted through the paper route should please send me an em

1. With the way things are going now, yes, it would be advisable to pay.

2. They are both same in terms of outcome. Only difference is paper gives you a higher opportunity to submit more documents than online due to size limitations for online applications.

3. Yes

4. If you have any question, you can ask here so that others could benefit as well.

The gurus can explain more if there is anything i missed.

Have a great week too.

Good job here I must say... honestly. .. Seun needs to reward you guys... *doffs hat*

Here is my issue....

I tried looking for a thread to put this but I couldn't locate one easily.

1. I want to go work and live in Canada. I already have my first degree. Which is a 2.2. So applying for masters in Canada might be a waste of time..

2. I did research on work visa, which brings me to this point.
a. I know about the IELTS which I should be writing in about 2 months by God's grace.
b. I also know that NOC classification of the kind of job that is readily needed in canada are Class 00 and Skill type 0,A and B of which cooking and catering falls into. An aspect I am looking at as my mum has been catering before I was born so I learnt. This is aside my 1st degree in Geology.
c. I plan on getting some professional qualifications in Catering to add up to boost my credentials.

3. I am 27 years old and single. I hope to get a work permit. Then convert to permanent residency permit when I have worked in canada for a while ..

4. On the minimum of $12300CAD must it be my statement of account or I can get a sponsor.

Please Experts in the house.. guide me on way forward. How do I go about this work visa...
ARe all this plan in place?
Is it visible or is there any other process I should work towards as basic.

Guys please i just accepted my offer to Memorial University Newfoundland for MSc programme... like seriously i dont even know what next to do, though the next step is supposed to be study permit but the criteria requires bank statement which right now i dont have but hopefully to get later.

I need advise can i skip that step and move ahead with other steps or is it better for me to find a way around it now and later when i actually gets fund means i could replace.

Thanks.

Thanks so much oluwa. I have an offer from Manitoba for MSc rehab science. Total fees is 11500.. Approximately 3.2m.. But I am awaiting an offer from western Ontario for the same course. As in Ontario province, I may be aligible for full funding in health science, if not, they will not admit.

My question now is, going by my Manitoba offer, if I declare 12million without paying fees and etc, isn't that sufficient for me to apply as self funded for the two years?? I also have fund in T.Bills.. About 12m oooo.. DAT one no reach? Must I use a sponsor? Some pple are saying use a sponsor as it shows u that u are not alone.. But the truth is am richer than the sponsors... Brothers and parents I mean!! Can I use a statement of account reading 2 million as sponsor while I have 12m in my personal account?? Please can anyone analysis and shade more light

pls how did u pay your application fee for manitoba

Hello boss,

Is it possible for your friend to come here and give his full profile? That way it would be easy to help him. Passing a message through you to him will generally lead to loss in content.

Just like I mentioned earlier he's been working in the bank since he finished Youth Service. I don't see why there will "lost of content" in suggestions that would be made. it's basically telling him the suggestions of members of the house.

Boss,
What I am saying is, your friend will be in the best position to provide details of his profile for proper suggestions to be made.

For example, you said he works in a bank, what is his function? Full time or contract staff? Marketing or customer service? Etc... these are some of the items he needs to provide.

Moreover,I don't think 2 years in the bank will be enough reasons to switch to MBA in the eyes of the VO, but then you never know.

If it is Msc/Meng, he should provide his B.eng grade, so we can further advise him, what to do in terms of applying and securing funding. Even if he has his own fund, an extra fund wont kill.

The bottom line is, if he is on this thread, he can get information immediately and even ask questions on the go... it is a win for him.

Just my opinion though...

This question is quite vague.

Do you mean bachelors, diploma, certificate, masters etc in audio engineering.

Atleast give us more info to start with.

I got my waec in 2008 and i haven't gone to any Univeristy since then. I've been a full time photographer and videographer for a few years now and i am trying to go into film making. Would love to get a degree from a foreign institution for that and canada has always been my 1st choice.
I've been doing photography for 6 years now. I can afford my tuition and accommodation for the first year. I'm applying for Januray. Let me know if you need anymore information. I also have two people i can get a letter of sponsorship from but we are not related.

Let me ask a few questions before i address your issue, please (cos im quite confused here).
Did u submit your application in person and did you use an agent??
You also claimed in another post that you received a call from CIC asking for ur Gmail allergedly??
Lastly, you received an email notifying you to respond to misrepresentation issue within 15 days?

NB:for your information if you are found guilty of misrepresentation u risked being banned for 5years. angry shocked
