So I went for my first ante natal today, mehn it was stressful, but that Asokoro hospital is cool sha.
They even give epidural if u want? But with ur 50k oooo ,they even have VIP labour ward sef where hubby will be present (if you want him to)

I also had my first TT shot today, next one is in 4 weeks time. I just love this hospital, n will recommend it anytime.

Team September how are we? My baby's kicks no be here o....I'm.happy sha, I was anticipating this kicks for longgggg.

Team sept cappo, I was unable to do scan today o. Maybe I will be team surprise

May God make it easy for all of us IJN.

I have been having painful contractions since last night, though I cnt time it, but itz very frequent and lo has been hyperactive if d contraction no hit me.
I went to my midwife this afternoon when I wasnt getting myself and she checked me only to tell me she cant find my cervix, that it is up.Then she gave injection for the pains. Am still contracting o with pains even as I type.
o my question is, what do this people mean when they say they cant find your cervix?

Please go back to the midwife if you are still having pains. Some people's cervix behaves like that it just means it's high up. When she wants to check youmake two fists with your hands and place it under your lower back area. It should make it easier to get to the cervix . I remember I had to do this when my doctor was trying to remove my cerclage and he had difficulty seeing it. You are okay sis .

Welcome to the newbies.
Beningnasweety, don't go to the midwife anymore. If the pain persists till tomorrow or becomes intense please head out to the hospital.
Time your contractions, if it is regular and increases in intensity, it is most likely labour.


In labour, your baby is actively trying and struggling to come out. If you tarry too long, the baby becomes tired by the time he is ready to pop.
Going by your history I would think you should be at the hospital now.

Xeexee1 we are good teamie! Have had 1st and 2nd TT shots, 2nd anti-malaria dose also. You should try and take them at your next hospital visit.
How are you going to strategize the fasting? Hmm i dont even know oh honestly.

finding a good sleeping position is also difficult for me... right now I'm just sitting on the floor because I cant lie down and sleep has eluded me for tonight....I've been on this floor for over 3 hrs now

9 weeks is far along enough to find a baby, mamas that have had similar experience would answer you better when they come online but for now I think you should try a different scan place.

Unless you have a case of early miscarriage or complications during pregnancy or an underlying illness., 13 weeks is the benchmark. Doesn't mean you can't go to the hospital if you feel like it.
In fact you should go to the hospital to get checked first.
