Some churches like prosperity churches make it appear as if sometimes suffering is a sign of God's disapproval. The suffering we may experience are due to any of d following reasons.
1. Inherite sin from Adam. Psalms51:5. In Isaiah 33:24 there is a link between inherted sin and sickness. Matthew 9:2-7, John 5:5-15
2. Consequences of our individual actions. This is in line with d principle in Galatians 6:7 which sow that we reap what we sow. Eg if u violate God's law on sexual morality, violate his law on blood and other works of the flesh and suffer sickness some of which has no cure. 1 Corinthians 6:18, Acts 15:28,29.
God's principles on morality is not restrictive as many see it but protective. Deuteronomy 32:4,5.
3. The world is under Satan's rulership and this means woes for earth's inhabitant John 12:31; John 16:11;Revelation 12:7-12, 1Peter 5:8; 1John 5:19,
4 Consequences of the wicked actions of others.eg someone who commits murder brings a lot of suffering on the surviving relatives, u steal one's property earned with his sweat u subject that person to the pain from loss of property Philipians2:15; 2Timothy 3:1-5
5. Prove that Satan is a liar and that rulership by God is the best than rulership by many which is characterised by greed, corruption and abuse if power. Remember Sataan in Genesis 3:1-6 alluded that man wud be better of without God.Read Jeremiah 10:23, Ecclesiates 8:9. Man was never created to rule fellow man independently from God. All human govts and kingdoms are under Satan's influence. No wonder Jesus rejected the offer of kingdoms by Satan during his temptation.Matthew 4:8-10. In Daniel 2: 44 these earthly government wud be destroyed by God's kingdom and replaced with his universal kingdom or theocratic government.
Above all it is wrong to blame God for human sufferings. Job 33:10; James 1:13-15

Animals suffer just as humans.

Op, Suffering is a destructive behaviour. Does God engage in destructive behaviour? No.

"You are what you eat." There is some truth to that since healthy eating leads to a healthy life and bad eating leads to a life full of health problems. However, equally important is a truth that you are what you worship.
