Nice one bro.

But what happened is that I am actually going for 2nd undergraduate major in Business and Managerial economics. From my point of view, I guess the vo is not convinced about how I defined and explained the course to him because he never asked of anything but THAT.
re fire and get prepared bra

You were not fully prepared. The first response is not okay at all including the other ones highlighted. You should get familiar with the school, curriculum and how many credits you will be taking, research, internships involved etc.

You must be prepared to defend why you are going for a 2nd UG program too. All the best

I want to ask you about visa renewal in Nigeria.
I am on OPT and US visa will expire in 2weeks. I would have to visit Nigeria for renewal anytime I leave thE country. I have a Canadian visa and thinking of travelling to do it there next week so if anything happens, I can come back before the existing visa expires or should I go back to Naija and take the risk in case anything happens at the embassy in Nigeria

You don't seem to do proper research so work on that because if you do you wont be asking if " I will need to pay for another, i20, SEVIS fee "..... also proper research would have highlighted to you that What Course is a frequently asked questions

Why are you not going for Masters instead of a second undergraduate ........Personally it makes no sense for me to see someone going to spend all that "dollars" for a 2nd Undergraduate thankfully I am not a VO grin so it doesn't count .

So my feedback to you is , firstly you only pay for a new Visa fee , .......the i20 and Sevis is valid and can be reused . read about why it is valid . Then go and look at all previous transcript both the delayed and given . You will learn a thing or two . Only rebook the interview when you are truly ready

Isnt it risky renewing visa on OPT days be it Nigeria or Canda .

It is perfectly legal to stay in the US with an expired student visa stamp as long as your i20 is current and up to date with your OPT. ... Most people usually just wait till they change it to H1B or something else ... OPT is not guaranteed entry but maybe if you have a full time good / proper job that help at renew if you insist you need a visa stamp..... But i wont take that risk be it Canada or Nigeria ...if you are planning to extend the F1 because of a phd program or something like that then Canada might just work out cheaper for you ticket wise

Maybe you check with Texrem first if he can help you pay instead of going all the way to Benin Republic ..... That option just seems more stressful and should be done only if you have no other option

Find his profile and send him a PM.... He best can advice you what his exchange rate and you know if it ok or not

Currently Sevis is 200 USD and usually there like a 10 USD admin charge too - Western union method of paying Sevis

I have a full-time proper job in my discipline which is STEM 3yrs, but the issue is that they aren't sponsoring and I would like to visit my folks back home sometime end of the year but dont want to take chances since I already have another option here to do it in Canada [cheaper flight]. 2 of my friends went back to Naija while on OPT and got renewed easily without stressful questions from the embassy. They said as far as u have job, EAD card and valid i-20, I am set which I have all but you know as Naija witches operate.

Good that you have a job ,,,,, There is another thread that the VO respond to , I think it best you just check with a VO giving these details and they will be able to advice you.. If they say yes you can do it and even do drop box then GREAT !!! even the witches gat nothing on you tongue
