I am hoping and guessing that this incident did not happen to Chukwudi Iwuchukwu. He is a blogger who is a Nigerian lawyer. Can we have the details of the person who actually had this experience? Unfortunately people lie and with the internet, stories can be easily propagated. So, we need to get details and review the source of stories before we start believing them and arguing over nothing. |

SalamRushdie:Doctors do not determine life or death. You sound like you know some things about medicine, but I can tell that you are clueless about medicine. Sepsis is a very serious medical issue that in most advanced cases, even in the most developed countries leads to death. From what the OP described, the patient would most likely have died even with the most advanced medical institutions. In medicine, doctors only create the best opportunity for the body to heal itself. If the damage is gone too far and the body can't recover, even life support won't save you. One of big reason why mortality rates for simple medical issues are so high in Nigeria is that people don't seek help until their problem is advanced. |

SalamRushdie: ziga:You are listening to this quack. Intravenous charcoal for sepsis !! Not intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) I'm sure he googled this rubbish somewhere. (He wants to dialyze the patient at the same time mind you, while he is administering a toxin) So Dr Salman, how do you intend to treat the possible DIC, thrombus formation and possible renal failure that will arise from your treatment ? |

IamaNigerianGuy:The case was already a lost cause so something radical was the only chance she stood .. First she was suffering from toxins that was released from the infected surgical wound so her antibiotic wasn't going to solve anything there ...The solution will be to slow down the the transport of the toxins before they send her into shock and try to mop up toxin as much as we can and the only way will be to use intravenous charcoal ...he kidneys had gone into over drive already and that why I suggested her being hooked up a dialysis to take the pressure of the kidneys for while ....İ suggested she be put in an induced coma to slow down heart rate and brain activity thereby halting the any chance of her going into a septic shock . I know what I am saying o |

ade712:A spirit can make themselves appearable to a any mortal in human form, if they reduce their vibrations to an earthly level. It's not really a gift per se that the doctor was able to see her spirit. She actually made herself visible to him. Seeing the spirits of dead people is not a new thing in our world. |

I can see on this thread how internet and nairaland has confused some people to think that they know anything about medicine. Some will be busy diagnosing Hallucinations up and down. Saying things they know absolutely nothing about. Mscheww. |

They've been told also to make things up in other to protect their beliefs against anything contradictory . I'm certain 90 percent of them don't understand what it means to be hallucinating . ![]() |
