Alteast he wasn't as incompetent as the self acclaimed sage whose political incompetence set his region into political turmoil, the incompetent power hungry treacherous one who failed twice at usurping the government of the day, was caught twice and finally forced into taking the coward way out by taking otapiapia poison.

At least Awo did not lead 3 million of his people to their death, then run away to Abidjan in Lady's mini skirt with his own family after killing and destroying your own family. Some people were born without brain. grin grin grin grin grin

It baffles me that Yorubas are yet to come to term with the dawn of ICT age, and the fact that their Lagos-Ibadan propaganda media hay days are long gone as anyone can demolish their lies using the internet.

On Richard 1946 constitution, the below was why Zik and NCNC rejected it.

"The nationalist leaders criticised the Constitution on the ground that they were not consulted. They strongly criticised the arbitrary manner in which the Constitution was introduced without consulting them.
The N.C.N.C. in a memorandum not only denounced the constitutional proposals as autocratic in origin, but also as designed to create a false impression of providing for an unofficial majority when in fact the 'unofficials' were either Chiefs who were officials appointed by the governor, or their nominees.

Chief Obafemi Awolowo believed that the Constitution fell below expectations and that it contained same weakness as the previous Constitution. On June 1947, a delegation of the N.C.N.C. leaders left Nigeria for London to protest against the Richard's Constitution before the Secretary of State for the Colonies. They demanded among other things the immediate revision of the Constitution.

The Constitution allowed the nationalist leaders only discussions and not actual participation in running the affairs of the country and for this the objective of the Constitution was not achieved.

This was because the Regional Councils had only deliberative and advisory functions to perform and the Governor was not bound to accept the recommendations of the legislative council".

In other words, the Richards constitution provided a false sense of democracy, when in truth, the colonial governor still had the ultimate power.

Anybody who studied government in secondary school would know that the above was one the demerits of Richard's constitution.

You should be concerned about how 3 million of your people were led to their untimely death by one greedy man called Ojucrook and not how a 78 year old man died. But you have no brain to use, how will you know what you should concern yourself with?

And 3million hapless biafrans paid with their lives for the omission of the secession clause in the constitution or 3.5m if we are to agree with the biabia posters in Onitsha.

Anyways, before you lose focus,, did you and your folks not rejoice on this thread that Yoruba felt marginalized and even encouraged GEJ to do it the more?

Did your folks not celebrate Nigeria here with some even talking of pushing Yoruba out of the Union so that we won't partake of the 'goodies of 1 naijeria' with you and the north? Did Afam not denigrate Yoruba for pushing for the same regionalism your kith and kin are being shot over today?

Did any single one of your folks on this thread remember Biafra in all their gloating at 'Yoruba misfortune'?

Otherwise, how else does one describe recent hoopla that greeted Ethiopian Airlines’, ET, foray into AkanuIbiam International Airport, Enugu, two weeks ago.

It should be noted that any government serious about the development of its aviation sector would not celebrate multiple entries for foreign airlines into its territories as doing that sets the tone for death of local airlines. And for an aviation sector that is as fledgling as Nigeria’s, the multiple entries granted foreign airlines by officials of the Aviation Ministry can best be described as debilitating for a struggling economy.

The implication of this is capital flight which, before now, had been put at close to N100 billion annually. So, the wild celebration that greeted ET flight into Enugu demonstrated the lack of capacity on the part of those drawing up policies for the aviation industry.

Enugu now makes Ethiopian Airlines’ third entry point into the country, after Lagos and Abuja. Other foreign airlines enjoy same approvals from the Aviation Ministry. This makes the aviation industry the worst bleeding spot for the country in terms of capital flight.

Ideally, local airlines are positioned to feed passengers for foreign airlines but now that the international airlines are indirectly carrying passengers to virtually every corner of the country, government’s talk about assisting domestic airlines to grow amounts to policy somersault. No sane country does it.

The entry of Ethiopian Airlines into Enugu is a negative development for domestic airlines. All we have done is to give way to kill the domestic carriers; we are killing the industry gradually.

They have also succeeded in killing operations into Port Harcourt, Owerri and Asaba, as the domestic airlines are supposed to feed passengers for foreign airlines to these airports. Politically, we have scored some good points but on the other hand, we are damaging the economy,” said Capt. Dele Ore, an ex-pilot.

http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/10/aviation-development-a-rehash-of-old-tunes-2/

This is how the brain of average Yoruba works. See Dele arguing against the upgrade of Enugu airports to international airport, as he felt it should remain a local airport to feed international airports located in his own part of the country.

These people are used to having lionshare, so much that any attempt at restoring equity that would swe them giving up their lionshare is interpreted as marginalization by them.

No one ever pushed Yorubas out of the system or marginalized you, GEJ came for equity and equity meant that those who took the share of others ab initio had to vomit them to make space for others. The vomiting of lionshare you had been enjoying is what you interpreted as marginalization.

SW was never left out in and infrastructural project in GEJ era.

The highest post SE held under GEJ was Secretary of the state, yet GEJ and PDP reserved the post of Speaker of the house for Yorubas, a post higher than what SE had, only for Tinubu and Yorubas to reject it in typical afonjaic manner, for a Northern Tambuwal, only to turn back later and start looking for Cheap blackmail against GEJ.

OBJ removed Imo and Abia from NDDC during his era, Ndiigbo didn't kill anyone.

How many Roads did GEJ build in SE and how many did he build is SW, you lots are just greedy lots,

Look at your Yoruba brother defending the indefensible at the Senate:

Awo is as valuable as the rat poison that ended his life.

There was no marginalization of Yoruba throughout GEJ reign, if there is, show me list of projects done by GEJ that Yorubas were omitted.

I think people were more amused at your silly marginalization rants here, and many pointed out the Mulikat scenario as early as the first page.

MASSOB threads liter NL archives with active support of Igbo here, including my humble self, with usual hate and taunting from Igbophobic entities coming left and right.
MASSOB was founded as early as 1999 and Uwazuruike had been shuting down commercial activities in Igbo dominated markets all over Nigeria with his sit at home orders, prompting his arrest and incarceration by OBJ.

If you are a newbie here, ask your superiors.
