I got admitted into New England college New Hampshire to study data analysis and business statistics for my masters program.

Have received my I 20 form....The program is for fall....I just want to pay servis fee....Can I go ahead with d school....The school isn't a community college though...
What do you have to say about this.

The bold is unnecessary. Each applicant is different, because you got a visa doesn't mean someone else will get or wont get. Then again, life after school is crucial and Important, the struggle and hustling doesn't end when you get a visa except you are one of those that think once you get to the US, you have made it in life.

My Visa was approved yesterday ..My interview was for 7am ..God is great.I have been filled with so much joy that i can't sleep ..it is a journey i will remember and a victory i will never forget because of the challenges i faced .i want to also thank @Akin2016 for his support ..I have never met anyone willing to give their time to help you out in achieving your dreams even when i misbehaved a little but he was patient with me ..I am forever grateful and also to those who post on here i am thankful as well .
My Transcript....I was interviewed by the VO that did my finger print...luckily for me he studied Sociology..(the guy was sharing white paper )I was the 6th person he interviewed and he denied only one person..He asked me one question in three different ways but i grab am...


VO : Good morning

Me : Good morning Sir .

VO :why did you chose this school ?

Me : Actually when i spoke with one of the professor from the school , she told me about the department's learning goals which fits into my long term goal to set up an effective non-governmental organisation that will promote child education and tackle child illiteracy in my country ..

VO :tell me how sociology (I didn't hear the question properly)

Me :i was defining sociology (Vo cuts)

VO :I know what sociology means , i studied sociology .Tell me what this course will do for you?

Me : I will have the ability to do sociological research ,the ability to think clearly and independently ..the ability to contribute solutions to difficult social problems facing my country ..

VO : so what are the schools department's learning goals ?

Me :I said the same thing ..I will have the ability to do sociological research ,the ability to think clearly and independently ..the ability to contribute solutions to difficult social problems facing my country ..

VO : he asked the department's learning goals in a different way (i don't recall how he put it )

If nothing changed then you say Nothing changed .... No need to think of any fancy answer

If the VO ask why you were not given before , don't go into talk about you could not list any courses or any long story ........ . How are you sure that is the exact reason ?? ... You cannot be certain as you are not in the VO head so it best to say you don't know the exact reason as you were not given feedback and leave it like that .......... which is true . Did the VO tell you the exact reason for denial ?

The key is to make sure you are better prepared now and Hope for the best ... go through past transcript, Don't cram but be prepared and be prepared to answer any other questions ...work with someone .

Going for a Second Bachelors, personally I think it much harder but if you can explain it , why you are doing it again if asked and the VO and God decides Yes then it will be yours. ......... All the best

bro, good response but i strongly disagree that its more difficult to obtain visa for bachelors. Dnt put fear in his mind, its very easy to obtain a student visa for both master,bachelors and phd. The important thing is applying to a top accredited public school, scoring good on standard test or if possible having a scholarship. Thanks

where did you read me say it is more difficult to obtain visa for bachelors ...... I said Second Bachelors.

Except for few exception how can someone do Bachelors Twice , especially when the repeat (abroad) is much more expensive ... Even if there is a change in profession , you can usually do a master instead with some pre requisite and not redoing it again

And How do you know it is very easy to obtain a Visa, What the evidence behind that statement ,

So that u will have enough valuable information. beside walspring and lagosismyhome are the two must busy and dedicated persons here, so its obvious there cant reply everyone. Me: the school is ranked by world report and USnews.com as best regional school in the north as far as my course is concerned. Also the school has a track record tailored to what i want to study. Student faculty ratio is 19:1. It has seasoned professionals both on field and in research, the like of Dr. Lori Koziol who is an outstanding scholar in the field of translational bioinformatics( v.o cuts in)

V.O : When did you finish university

Me: in 2013

V.O : What have you been doing since then.

Me: After NYSC, i have been working as a medical officer at the federal medical center Lagos, where i treat general medical cases. I manage uncomplicated medical emergencies in all age groups. I also administer and monitor vaccination in immunization clinic. My work involves keeping tract of vast amounts of data recorded manually hence my choice of course..(cuts in).

V.O : I will be approving your visa.( hands me white paper and circles pickup address)bla bla...

I went blank and didn't hear the rest of all what he was saying.

Advice- be audible, coherent in speech and confident. Maintain a genial eye contact and speak fluently( without faking any accent).

Visa is not even by preparation ......It helps but some times it might be a higher power God and the mood of the VO .

Some are very prepared and are not given , Some are not even prepared and are given ...It is to pray to find favour and Grace
