One word GREED!

A Yoruba man should not even smell the Presidency until every region in the country has had their 8 years. That is fairness, but these Yoruba people think they are smart. Let them wait till 2019 and come to collect votes from another region for that corrupt midget.

We'll screw their brain right and remind them the name of the country is not Odudugeria.

NW should have the slot in 2019 even if Buhari doesn't contest, and the VP should be a SE. In 2023, a SE should get the Presidency and NE would get the VP.

Rather, they want to start a very silly game. 8 years for OBJ, now they want to go for 8 years for Osinbajo when SS only had 5 years and NW only had 6 years, NE 0, NC 0, SE 0. Is SW the only region in the country?

Come 2019 south east and south south should form alliances with anyone willing to put devolution and resource control on the table

Osibanjo is really not offering anything

Only God's wish will prevail. Osinbajo has a very reputable law firm to always return to. His reign as acting President has had no impact in the lives of Yoruba people so we can't be bothered. Ours is for our land to grow in leaps and bounds and continue to be a Mecca of sorts to law abiding Nigerians from all backgrounds. The igbos can have the Presidency if they can.

You guys are beyond stupid and hypocritical.
Igbos were forced to remain to stay in this union. So in the meantime they the right to demand fair treatment in the country Yorubas and Hausa Fulanis forced them to stay in.

Yorubas are very nice people. Of what need is it to argue with Igbos? We are not on the same level in Nigeria or elsewhere. Yorubas are thinking of how to build turn key infrastructure which has been articulated by the DAWN project for all southwest states and you are talking of naira land darts? Most people in Yoruba land see the igbos as refugees that need our help. Believe me man, the average Nigerian doesn't really regard the igbos as amounting to anything of consequence. I am telling you the gospel truth from the bottom of my heart. Yours truly only feels pity when I see any igbo in Yoruba land. They need our care and compassion.

This is how Nigerians keep focusing on region vis-a-vis presidency. No mention of qualification or what the candidates would bring to the table.

I can see we won't be making much progress anytime soon.

You talk like the Yorubas are responsible for the political wilderness being witnessed by the Igbos without recognizing the fact that it be extremely hard to vote in an igbo man due to the way they have estranged themselves from other Nigerians. I don't want to go into too much details this afternoon. On the osibanjo issue, only God has he final say. We always talk like we are assured of tomorrow. We are still in 2017, let us kindly refrain from making statements of what will happen in 2019.

According to your ewedu logic the Igbo man 'estranged 'himself from other nigerians by voting other ethnics like Shagari, Obj, Goodluck.

He also estranged himself by going to other parts of the country even in arid desert north to build his home within the locals.

Ewedu people and their logic?

Thank You for acknowledging that I don't hate Yoruba race.

Now as per your position, Osinbajo CANNOT win the Presidency in 2019. Not when the opposition is determined to present a credible Northern candidate and Igbo VP.

I have NO paymaster from anywhere... don't get it twisted

And who is this your credible northern candidate and on
which political platform will he contest?

Tonye you don buy market
i understand your framework of analysis is EQUITY but am sorry to disappoint you, Nigerians dont care about equal access to power and resources- they are pretenders. They moot rational values when they want power, when they get there they turn the rule on its head.
I want to believe you rightly relied on the campaign against GEJ seeking a 'third' term.
Finally, you just predicted 2019. Anyone believing the disunited South will win the presidency in 2019 is day dreaming. The country has been structured favor a Northerner.

So saying what I did amounts to pride? The truth is what it is, the truth! The average Yoruba man doesn't really see the igbo as an enemy but pities them due to the challenges they have faced in Nigeria after the civil war.

We mostly empathize with them and have allowed them to be integrated into our society hence the shock when we see their hateful comments on social media. If the yorubas saw igbos as a problem, they would have been made very uncomfortable in our land a long time ago.

Ha Ha .. eastener's as usual - scared of the West. grin because the have a penchant for fixing things.. The east wants Nigeria to return to status quo because they are amongst the sole beneficiaries of corruptions in ours ports.

Westerners fixed lagos, fixed ogun, obasanjo brought in GSM .. what most of you e-rats are using to post these jargons.

They partnered with the northern part of Nigeria, and defeated PDP. The very west has Kemi as minister of Finance, plugging all the leaks that that
greedy frog punches into our system.

Fayose, Fani Kayode most outspoken men in the country are westerners. 90% of the new economy (IT and E-commerce) has westerners heavily invested into it.

As our amiable president Buhari is on leave for health reasons. Osinbajo a westerners is at the helms of affairs and has proven to the country that the west can be trusted to be just, equitable and resolute in agreements and responsibilities.

All states in the east are bankrupt - Zamfara and Imo states made similar amounts of IGR and Anambra state did not make a dime in 2016. Yet, the claim that the north brings nothing to the table - Borno state is in quagmire, yet it manage to make 2B naira in 2016 compared to Anambra.

Your arrogance is nauseating. To imagine you wrote what you did and frankly see it as "saying the truth" is even worse.

You better calm down with the obsession, there is a real world outside Nairaland and hopefully you don't carry this same egotistical attitude around. If so, that would be very unfortunate.

You don't get it do you?

Your statements are not only arrogant, but highly corrosive. The first thing that came to my mind reading what you wrote was I can imagine if this guy was a white American, he would be a staunch member of the KKK, extremely racist. And that is how the likes of Hitler and white supremacists started. You have no right to group a whole ethnic group together and talk in such a condescending manner. The moniker is a supremacist one - reason I just ignore it. Go through all its posts and you discover its deep obsession and delirious hate for the Igbo - for a moniker that claims it is a lawyer. I mean there is banter and tribal slurs and all here across the various tribes on nairaland but only that moniker goes way beyond the line.
