Mr I. went into trading, made money. He got married early.
PIB who never spoke in the class became a very strong man in one of the Unis in Enugu.
He became a terror. I was surprised how he managed to score up to 100 in JAMB.

O was into something not very good. Some of us suspected he might have started omila in JS3. He sold us a story of how he was helping some business men smuggle certain goods across the border. I didn't believe him. He was only 14/15 at the time but I knew he had a gun.

5 of us are the only successful people among our peers

I wasn't a dull student, i just knew I'm not about that getting an education / University stuff, i knew i can't stay in a small office working for someone and at the end of the month i would be paid nothing

All of us (non serious and dull students) were skipping classes every goddam time because we had businesses we ran while we were in high school

I was the first one that counted a million naira of my own, i was also the 1st guy to buy an expensive car at the age of 21, while those guys who were laughing at us (my non serious classmates) were still collecting 3 thousand naira pocket money from their old mother, the 2nd guy sold his land, bought a fuel station and now owns about 8 fuel station, the 3rd guy uchenna now lives in Atlanta Georgia doing his thing (owns a nightclub), the 4 guy is a multi millionaire, the 5th guy dey sell motor parts and he's also wealthy

I can still remember the most intelligent guy in my class then, Obinna was the guy's name, he went to the university, got his psychology degree and he's still unemployed, i dey help the guy

For me, education is a waste of time and resources

I can buy all my classmates put together

Everyone was laughing at me when they all went off to the university, i managed to travel out, came back 2 years later and the whole town was shocked

He is a national assembly member now.

He's making it huge in business. The fact is that, the time you (intelligent) student use in reading, these guys don't read but rather think of money cos education is not their thing. Follow the story of Bill Gates... Sometimes I laugh at those who laughed at us then because we were dull. intelligence depends on your focus...

Bill Gates was never dull. He got into Harvard to study mathematics. He dropped out because he felt he wasn't the best in class as he used to be in other schools

Hian! No let me shed tears this night ooo. The dullest student in my class then was so dull that is was a crime to sit down beside him in class. The teachers would regard you as "birds of the same feather flocking together".

Our educational system is fvcked mehn! Not everyone is good in cramming all those long definitions and finding x and y wey we no loss.

Bottom line, his father was a welder so he naturally worked in the workshop. He managed to gain admission in the then petroluen training institute, effurun where he got an ond in under-water welding. Now he is a top under-water welder for an oil and gas pipeline installation firm. That guy is seriously balling mehn!

We still dey find DX and Dy like say our life depends on it.

grin grin grin

all the dullards back in my secondary school are big time business men now. the guys tho. - farming, construction, trade, exports etc.

The intelligent ones that seemed would be career women are married full time house wife. some got married while in school, others married immediately after school.

The book smart ones are either in NYSC, unemployed, underemployed, a couple are abroad, while some are still in university.

I was among the dullard in our classroom back in the days. I always took the position of second to the last, and the reason why I didn't take the last position was because the grand undisputed dullard was a mental disturbed girl, I felt for her them.
Fast forward to this day (2 June 2017) I'm now the most overachiever and the envy of everyone, they all couldn't believe their eyes when ever they bumped into me during shopping.
This shows that the most intelligent and hard worker don't always become successful... Majority of them Eggheads /book heads and the over Sabi students during my secondary school days are now class room teachers and daycare workers with peanuts for salary, what a pity!
President Buhari, Dino Malaye and Donald Trump are few living proofs you don't need to be the most intelligent to be successful wink
Dino is a thug, Buhari was a former military dictator and that gave him the edge but Donald trump in my opinion is a very intelligent fellow. You need to hear him speak.being intelligent still pay just that it may not pay you much here in Nigeria if it is not managed well

Nigeria has a different way of rewarding excellence. Mother Nature has another.

Either ways, the race has never been for the swift not the battle for the strong.

I knew this way back in Sec Schl. So I stopped competing with anyone and only move at "God-me" pace

Nobody is truly a Dullard, after all our President is said to be a "Dullard" by some broke-ass-wise-guys.

I didn't understand life back then when I thought little of the other guys in my class that didn't do well in academics, because some of them are now employers of Labour in their businesses, living a comfortable life with their families.

Untill you find and do what you are good at and succeed at it, you are a dullard.

the Average and intelligent are doing better in the higher institutions.

some ppu wil say nobody is dull, true but then we have some students in school that no matter what, how and when the teacher teaches, they will neva understand, it will just be like gibberish. Please school is not by force, if you ain't getting what's happening around, just quit and look for somtin else beta to do with your time and money.

If you are dull in education, look for other fields that you will be intelligent in. Shalom
Have you heard of dyslexia?, if you haven't, then you need to read about it.

My guy let me tell you this, nobody is that dull. People tend to understand things differently.
Let me tell you a story. When I was part- time teaching in a secondary school, there was this girl all the teachers called olodo. Funny enough she is not! If you ask her 14 +3 she won't be able to answer but ask her 14 Naira plus 3 naira and she will give you an accurate answer.
I found out she sells market for her mother and knows all about giving the correct balance to customers. I had to use naira in everything to teach her mathematics. You know what? She came 3rd best in mathematics all through my stay there.
Most nigerian educators are not that patient and focused to learn about their students.
Or have you not heard about dyslexia too? Like somebody said, " Nobody dull at all "

We had people intellectually challenged not dullards. Dullard is a denigrating word to use for people. Once the source of challenge is known, anyone can move on. Reason why some of those once termed dullards grew to be exceptional in chosen fields of endeavour.

Point of correction please, Nobody is a dullard. Those you think were not up to the task then might have discovered a lot and be better by now.

Between then and now, a lot would have happened and they might have gone farther than you.
