Bros search for your QUESTRA HOLDINGS on a search engine and see the results. Also check if any notable business website talked about it. Maybe you are not aware but what you are doing is ponzi and not investment.

In your own lay man's language what do you call ponzi, the same search said Bitcoin was scam, are you not aware of that? do you think bloggers are you justice, have bloggers ever said anything good about business that disfavor them? my brother, I would recommend you to do deeper research before you attack, researches doesnt end with what bloggers have to say, we know that bloggers will paint an opportunity black instead of white just to remain visible the cyberworld then why must they condemn an opportunity and then at the end present their NO ONE ONLY OPPORTUNITY, tell me why? give your reasons here so others could learn, am ready for an open challenge.

For now, the probability of a default on the part of the FG is <= 0.
When there are real concerns it will be super obvious. When Greece's own started, even those of us outside Europe got to know about it.
If government securities will start failing, bond investors are the ones who should really be concerned because they hold longer-tenor securities.
Above all, like someone mentioned earlier, if you start worrying about T-bills because you think the country could go under, then you had better dispose all other financial assets in the country: bank savings, cash, stocks, etc, because they'll all also be worthless.
Finally, it will be great for those who are utterly risk averse as to be scared of T-bills, to create another thread where all their fears can be well shared. We here could really use some exits from them.

you have said it all, if not TB where else, as i speak the only money i have outside money i use for business is the interest from the last auctions. All my lives savings are in TB.........my savings is as secure as the unity of this country. and if naija fails, money would be the least of my worries. cos banks , nse, MDAs would all cease to exist.

Some basic terminologies frequently used in Treasury Bills:

OMO (Open Market Operations):
It is used either as an expansionary or as a contraction measure to control the amount of money in the financial system. When CBN buys from the OMO, funds are injected into the system in order to stimulate growth; while sale of OMO by CBN mops up excess funds from the system.

Thanks so much for this post. Pls is the treasury bill currently on? and what can be a possible profit of #300,000 treasury bill? Pls reply. Thanks so much.

Many Thanks for your nice words sir.
The good thing about great fund managers like SIAML is that they are super savvy at what they do, I expect that now that we have high rates, they will have a huge chunk of funds locked down, as so when t-bills rates start dropping, the drop in yield of the MMF will be slower and less steep, and will yet beat the 91-day t-bills benchmark. if t-bills rate fall back to one digit, I'm confident Stanbic will still be able to float an extra quarter of double digit yield.

AwesomeJ, thanks very much for your analysis. Though speculative it gives a glimps as to what to expect in a down turn scenario.

Nothing fishy is going on rather most people are liquidating their TBills at all cost and diverting the fund to Stock Market.

Last month i liquidated all my USD position and invested in the stock market and so far my portfolio is 51.8% upside.

Would it been i don't have a formidable USD portfolio. i would have terminated my TBills that is due for December because of the kind of fire that is currently burning in NSE.

Nigerian stocks hit a 23-month high on Monday, extending last week's rally and helped by gains in cement, fuel retailing and banking shares.

A pickup in oil prices and a more stable currency have improved economic prospects in Nigeria, prompting investors to buy into the stock market.

Banks are able to offer higher rates at secondary market due to the influx of investors terminating their primary market Treasury bills before maturity.

When you contact your bank to sell your primary market Treasury bills, they take into account an offer rate to the next buyer and deduct the equivalent from the sale price of your Treasury bills, they still make a profit in between the transaction.
