I recently bought a smart LG TV with inbuilt satellite decoder. I was told at the point of purchase that I would be able to pick up as many as 20 free to air tv channels. Unfortunately, I have been able to view just 4 religious tv stations. .
Please, can anybody help on how to pick up news and/or entertainment channels (sports & musicals)? I would love to view some local channels too (like AIT and TVC). I reside in Kano State.

i once said if u have 1 meter dish and u are on star time position then use any mpeg2 decoder and lower ur dish alittle u should hit green but make sure u are not using mpeg4 decoder becos if u use mpeg4 decoder u wil always hit startime but if u use mpeg2 any signal u hit around startime 4s afn becos u cant get startime on mpeg2 becos startime is mpeg4. Note tp remain 11804v27500

I want to add 7°E to my existing 5°E, but my 5°E is facing southward instead of the usual East.
My question is, can I adjust my dish at the same direction to get 7°E or must it face the East compulsorily?

I tracked nigcomsat @42e yesterday, when I scanned I did not see AIT, AMM as been speculated but I got NTA, TVC news and others, the precedure to track this Sat is, track DSTV, put the TP of nigcomsat Bring Your dish down till you hit green, that's all you need to track it.

House, I discovered some channels on 16e like stv, equinox and canal 2 are not showing. Is it general? same too for my Astra 2F at 28e. is it general?
