Identity was fluid before state and political creation in the East. The Egbema man in Imo state is one and the same as the Ogba-Egbema man in Rivers. The Nri man in Anambra has more in common with an Asaba man than an Mbaise man.
The man in Owerri is more related to an Ikwerre man than the man in Enugu.
The man in Bende and Arochukwu has exchanged cultural ideas with the Efik and Ibibio people for many centuries.
My response has nothing to do with claiming,it is rather aimed at debunking your hollow premise that Niger delta has nothing in common with Igbos.
Ironically, the whole of Niger Delta is filled with people who are more related to Igbos than they are to themselves.

- If Yorubas are not very friendly to the Igbos, do you think it is possible for Igbos to have more property in Yoruba land, than they have in their own Igbo land?
When has it become "hatred" to chose your own "Political Association or who you associate with, to further your own interest? Just because Yorubas chose to vote for Buhari, how does that translate to HATRED or BETRAYAL?
Do Yorubas have any "pact" with Igbos, to always vote for them? (How come the Yorubas did not call it Betrayal, when the Igbos refused to vote for Awolowo, as Presidential candidate of the UPN but voted for a Northerners in Shagaris' PDP?)

All this pointing of finger will not help the Igbos.

Impunity is when people from openly commit crimes, knowing they will not be punished. That has been the problem of Nigeria. That is why the country will not grow, that is why those seeking to form a different country will continue to get popular, because there is no justice in this present arrangement.

It is left for Nigerian government to either approve or disapprove the immigration of any non Nigerian, and if a foreigner comes in without relevant documents, he becomes an illegal immigrant and will be treated as such.
