Good day, please I am really confused and don't know what to do. I applied for UK 6months visa 23rd of May and received an email that the application was received the next day 24th because I paid for priority.. I was scheduled to travel on the 6th of June because the wedding is 10th of june (reason for the visa application) and since then I have not heard or receive any email... each time i track my application online it says decision not made yet... please what do I do? Can this affect my application since travel time has past.

It seems like your application isn't up to the stipulated 15 working days required for processing. If you need to travel urgently you can send them a mail. Frankly, not all applications take 15 working days, some are longer or shorter. It depends on the time taken to verify the documents you submitted. However, when you send a mail to this effect you might get lucky and your case will be escalated although I always advice people against this, if your application isn't up to 15 working days

Hello house. I am really so happy to find this topic. You guys are doing a really wonderful job.
I am new here and about to apply for a family permit visa. Please I have some questions
I met my husband a (German citizen) 8 years ago and then he was married to a german lady. We did our traditional wedding 7 yrs ago and we were blessed with a child (he is a German citizen too) when I was joining the village meeting as a new bride, I was registered with my husband''s surname. Since then I have been using my husband's surname. My husband and the german lady are now divorced since 2015. And he has relocated to the UK. We got married at the registry last december.
My questions are....
(1) Since I started using my husband's name before his divorce. Will it affect my application?

(2) Presently my husband rented a room in an apartment, that is, he is sharing a flat with other people. Does he need to rent a full flat before I can apply?

Please kindly reply. Thanks

Quite correct! same thing happened to me. I had to go to the consulate office in Victoria Island. Just be sure to go there with your collection slip from TLS.

I went there to make a complaint and was suprised when my passport and visa was given to me. I couldnt get the chance to ask or challenge the reason why my passport wasnt returned to the application center because there were so many people the officer had to attend to. Please if you are able to ask if the volume of people arent much, Kindly ask for some explanation if there is...or if it was just sheer human error.

I just left the consulate office now and the lady said the same thing that they haven't gotten anything yet that they might have made a decision but might be delayed from the embassy that I should call them.

Met other people there and they said it took them as long as 6 weeks/4 weeks etc

@bdorg May I ask how long it took you overall to from the date of your biometrics to the collection date?

I did my bio on the 5th of May. After I sensed the delay (now passed more than 15 working days) and after making calls to UK (charged 20pounds) to which I was told by the customer agent that a decision was made on the 23rd of May, I was advised to go to the consulate @ Walter Carringhton VI on further inquiry at the application center Ikeja. I did that last Monday and I collected my passport.

The consulate office I was referring to is at Walter Carringhton VI not the application center.

Good luck.

Oh thanks a lot. I went to the application center... I'll call them tonight then follow up from there, if possible would go to the Consulate at Walter on Monday with my collection slip.

Would keep posted, Thanks!!!

1. No it will not affect your application. What you need is just a valid marriage certificate and a copy of your husband German passport. Your husband is an EU citizen exercising his EU treaty right in the UK. Be ready to be interviewed by home office.

2. No, your application will be treated under EU laws. What your husband need is a valid U.K. address and evidence of working in the U.K. You must apply for EU family permit visa for spouse of EU/EEA Citizen. If you apply for ordinary UK family visit visa you will be refuse or require to shows documented proof of relationship other than just a marriage certificate.

@Justwise and my able bodied people, please I need your advice on this.

I applied and had my U.K. Appointment/Biometrics on the 15th of May, 2017

The Sheffield UK received my application and it
was being considered for a decision on the 21st of May, 2017.

This is the 8th of June, 2017 and still waiting for another mail for collection and decision being made.

Also want to add, I think the 15 working days processing time starts from the day they receive the application not the actual appointment day.

Should I still hold on or go ahead and write to them? If I should write to them, please I need the contact details.

Thank you and would appreciate your help!!!

any updates yet??

Uk visas and immigration is just frustrating people, embarassed my visa application is more than 15 working days. Instead of wasting my money on emails trying to contact ukvi, I have decided to visit the uk embassy in VI and complain to them next week monday, my passport might be with them. I really don't understand all this delay, almost everyone is complaining of delay in getting der passports

Yeah I went there to the application center today and they told me to call their home office which I did just this night.

After charging the 20 pounds, they said they had made a decision since last week Friday and that within 10 working days which started last week so by next week, my passport should be out for collection.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by Solatium(m): 9:30pm On Jun 09, 2017
The Delay should be expected this time that they are changing from one service provider to another, just last week or so there was a press release that they have just migrated on to another platform of custmer service provider, the implications is that the new provider might just be sorting themselves out or it could be a deliberate act since it is now money paying customers service, they might expect you to drop £5+ or £20 for phone enquiries,Biritiko like money and they will do all things to maximize their profit/earning

Hello House, Please I dnt knw if anyone is currently having a problem getting back his/her documents from sheffield. It's been over 3weeks since I got a decision mail and a Ready for Collection mail, of which I picked my passport from TLS VI immediately. Getting back my documents now is the problem and I need to reapply as soon as possible. I've called and send multiple mails, all the adviser said was that they were gonna send it. Pls I dnt knw if there's a way I can hasten it up, as I need my documents to reapply asap.

TLS/home office no longer collect physical documents. All documents are scanned to home office and returned to back to you. Was your application for a visit visa or other forms of visas?

please I got a marriage proposal to a black American and I have never traveled , neither have any idea on how to process my documents... please any advice... although I told my fiancé to talk to an immigrants lawyer over there. but I still want to inquire beforehand.
thanks for the good job.

Is your partner living in the U.K.? Does he has a valid permit to reside in the U.K.? Note American Citizens can only stay in the U.K. For 6 months without visa.
