No right thinking igbo man should take this warning for granted.

Relocate and invest back in the east!

Come sef, why do igbo find it hard to invest in their place??
You guys should stop saying that. Igbos are mostly traders and the entire South East is saturated with markets. That is why they move to other regions with fewer traders and they maximise such opportunities.
Are you not aware that 2 of the 5 largest markets in Nigeria (Onitsha Main Market and Ariaria Market Aba) are in Igbo land. The largest market for vehicle parts is in Igbo land (at Nnewi).

Igbos invest in their homes well enough. Go to villages in the south east especially in Anambra State and see business men living in other parts of the country building houses they barely live in.

In what appears to be an indirect reaction to the call made by Arewa Youths for Igbos to leave the northern part of Nigeria and the continuous call by Biafrans to separate from Nigeria, popular pastor Bishop Dr Sam Zuga and General Abdulsalam Abubakar met and had a discussion on the issues.Obviously both are against Arewa Youths' quit notice and Biafran agitation. During their discussion on peace strategies, they said...

'What we need in this country is to do what we told God to help us to do. "ONE NATION,PEACE AND UNITY " not Biafra agitation and Arewa quit notice'.

Speaking further,Bishop Zuga said.....

'BEFORE YOU BREAK UP NIGERIA, YOU MUST CHANGE NATIONAL PLEDGE.

I pledge to Nigeria my country, to be FAITHFUL, LOYAL AND HONEST. to serve Nigeria with all my strength. TO DEFEND HER UNITY.SO HELP ME GOD. If you once said this in primary school, you can not divide Nigeria. You must not go free when you are not loyal and honest. Because you told God to help you when you are about to violate your pledge. You promised to defend the unity of Nigeria and so shall it be. Everybody should go and do something better. Break up is not possible for now. Behold the Nigerian peace ambassadors. We must achieve the desired peace'

All i hear from our so called leaders and defender of one Nigeria is Nigeria will not divide but non is ready to do the right thing that will keep Nigeria as one. If really they want one Nigeria the solutions are there already, let the so called leaders come out tell the Buhari administration to start the implementation of 2014 confab or let the national assemblies enact a bill that will force the executive to implement it.

The North has never influenced our success and progress as a people
Igbos are known to excel and prosper in lands others dread.

Since they hate how we've developed their land for them we will see if they can help themselves out.

Too much "sense". No one would want to buy what the other has to sell. Each man would be feeling cheated by the other.

How can someone like this support break up of Nigeria? The country is thier private company. They own and run it like their business. He owns oil wells in the South while he is a northerner. That's the more reason Igbos wanna break out. Non of these cankerwarms will ever support the break up. You maybe be thinking it's because of Unity. Dont be fooled. They are not so patriotic. They own company's, businesses and kingdoms all over Nigeria. All gotten from stolen/looted money that belongs to the country Nigeria. Cant you see that NIGERIA is a failed project. We want out.

Is any city in the east as developed as PH?

Plus, can u compare the percentage of igbo investments in yoruba and hausa land with that of yoruba and hausa investments in Igbo land??

Somehow I feel the Arewa youths were sponsored by some bigwigs that are condemning their statements in public. Their comments are capable of iciting violence. Why haven't any arrest been carried out by the DSS? They did it to Apostle Suleiman and Audu Maikori, so what's stopping them? Well I'm just thinking aloud.
You're right. That no arress have been reported is mind boggling. Beyond making statements condemning the act, those guys weren't faceless, arrests should have been made by now, to deter others who're planning same.

Government shouldn't be portraying themselves as paying lips service to this issue, cos so far, that's what it looks like. All bark, no bite.

Hypocrite Abdulsalaam who engineered the faulty 1999 constitution that is the bane of the country and the cause of the whole agitation that empowered the North WE and made nonsense of the south. Gave christians who are 60% of the population no identity in the constitution but gave his religion recognition. These so called elders of thought are the main headache of this country

Take an aerial view of the north compared to the south. In the north u see one house then empty land before another. But in the south the houses are so densely packed!

Living is difficult in east compared to other parts of the country, no federal infrastructures like air and sea ports, no embassies, federal MDA's are dysfunctional or non-existence etc need I say more. All these are parts of the reasons they are asking for a break-up. As soon as one crosses the Niger bridge, it's like one has left Nigeria
Apart from abuja, are there embassies in the north?

Middle of a bush indeed. The people whose voices are loudest about how the South East is a village are those who haven't even crossed Niger bridge. Every part of Nigeria has both urban and rural areas. The rural parts of the south east aren't less developed than what you find in other regions.

If you can reason properly, you will realise that it doesn't make any economic sense to have for instance 2 million traders out of a population of 20 million people while another region with 30 million people has just about 500k traders. More of the 2 million traders will make more money if they migrate to the regions with fewer traders.

I went to a South Western town of Mamfe in Cameroon about 8 years ago. As far less developed as it is compared to any of the major Igbo towns, there were many Igbos living there mainly engaged in trading.
Gusau, Kaura Namoda, Birnin Kebbi, Kafanchan etc are not more developed than typical towns in the South East, neither are there better business opportunities there on the whole, but there are a lot of Igbos there cos the areas are not saturated already.

You say market will come to Igbos if they invest in their place, then you know nothing. On a typical day at Onitsha main market, thousands of buyers there come from several parts of the South South and Northern parts of the country to buy good. There are even traders from the South Western part of Cameroon. All Igbo traders cannot squeeze themselves into the South East for business when there are various regions to explore.
There are many Chinese doing businesses in Nigeria not because their country is bad but simply because there is a less saturated market in Nigeria than where they are coming from.

General Abdulsalami Abubakar is a great Nigerian. But i think we are passed the stage now.

I will still praise Abdulsalami for restoring democracy just as we know those that sponsored Boko Haram to undermine democracy to gain power.

Anyhow, why hasn't DSS arrested the Fulani that called for desolution of Nigeria? If Biafran made half of that statement, Buhari and his DSS will shoot them and throw them into jail without trial. Does it mean Fulanis are above the law?

Watch
4:20, 5.30, 8:00. If you watch the entire video you will see the speech is more about the north's determination to secede then appropriate Igbo properties in the north.
