chloride6: Unfortunately you aren't making any sense here. Even the post shows reference to the Yoruba Nation yet we haven't issued ultimatums. Why are Hausa the most pained in this whole issue? Who gives a damn about whoever gives ultimatum or not. No one is also interested in who is pained or not pained. What is important here is that the northerners are tired of the endless insults from you and your ilks hence the quit notice. Simply pack and forget stories. |

taiyeayodeji:Yes, you don't go to a man's house and keep insulting him even though you are seriously benefiting from his house. The north is a home to northerners, same way east is to easterners. |

Are our Igbos and Nnamdi Kanu aware of this? "That even the Eze Igbo Gburugburu himself, the late Ikemba Nnewi, Gen. Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu was betrayed" In 2003 PMB running under the banner of the ANPP picked an Igbo, Chuba Okadigbo as his running mate. The East voted PDP. In 2007, PMB picked another Igbo, Edwin Ume-Ezeoke. The East voted PDP. He later picked a Yoruba, Tunde Bakare in 2011. The Igbo voted PDP. Then, in his fourth attempt in 2015, he chose another Yoruba, Yemi Osinbajo as running mate. The Igbo voted massively for PDP but PMB won!!! PDP had it's own strategy. They courted the West and North to get the vote and used sentiments to get votes from the East. Politics being about numbers and alliances, PMB aligned with the SW and became president. And the Igbo said the Yoruba sold out by supporting the North when they (the Igbo) missed the numerous chances they had to align with the North. We saw in the Last elections in 2015 that a candidate only needed strong votes from the North and votes from one other region to win the presidency. If the East had gone with the North each time they had the chance to so do, we would have had an Igbo President before now based on our zoning system. Even our "Biafra hero" the late Emeka Odimegwu-Ojukwu - "Ikemba Nnewi" - contested the Presidency and for Senate but my people voted against him throughout. They preferred instead, OBJ, YAR' ADUA & other candidates from other regions!!! "TRUTH IS BITTER." - Emeka Onwuka Who betrayed who and who is fooling who? #Copied |

eldeens:Back in the days, Igbos resigned from federal jobs, abandoned their properties and went back home to declare independence but war was brought to their land to add them back to Nigeria....Igbos lost properties both in and out.....there won't be a repeat of that...If the ultimatum implies their support for secession, there must be a signed agreement to that effect, thru a referendum.Q.E.D |

I wonder why people are saying that igbo don't want to go, we the igbo are willing to go and this is an opportunity we have been waiting for, those few brainwash igbos that invested all their sweat at the north are the ones that refused to go but if the northerners will allow everybody to be entitled to their properties , both igbo and hausa can retain their properties but need a visa or residential permit to stay, believe me all igbo will go , the reason why most of them fine it hard to go is because of their investment nothing more, so those saying we don't want to go please close your mouth and reason well, we don't want one nigeria and we can never be, I'm very sure one day nigeria will break up because the cracks are there already |

A group of faceless clowns gathered in Kaduna and made what's an invitation to violence against a particular group. All because they are, as they called themselves, "youths" of the region - a political identity one is now ashamed to identify with. They did not represent me, and none of them has done something worthy of commendation even in their immediate environment to earn veneration. And then came a more embarrassing joke by a group of senior citizens from the region: an endorsement of a dangerous call. I'm not exactly shocked by the position of Ango Abdullah and friends, they're already cornered to the museum of the nation, and must do everything to regain their dwindled relevance. Both the signatories of the so-called Kaduna Declaration and elders of Ango Abdullahi's Forum represent the agency we must fight in building a sane society. I've no respect for what the two groups advocate and I'll challenge them, and call them the evil they are. If you do not regard their advocacy as dangerous in a country this volatile, then you are a part of our problem. Ango Abdullahi and friends are no longer the landlords of this house, you and I are - or so it should be. They have had their time and made a mess of the place we are not proud to call home. Be ashamed of yourself if, despite your education and years lived, you see no wrong in amplifying or justifying violence against a group, regional or ethnic, religious or political...... |

Please I have a question that's been bothering me all this while .. if an Igbo man had been Nigerian president will they still clamour for Biafra ? Because the last time I think odemegwu ojukwu tried contesting for Nigerian president ,, maybe he lost hope in Biafra or he reflected on everything and concluded anger , hatred and war shouldn't have been the solution . Igbo need to be diplomatic sometimes , in this part of the world things are different, to conquer your enemy you don't need to show him when you are going to attack, that is the true attribute of a wise man and not just chanting for violence like a wounded dog.. You can't conquer evil with evil always remember that Just a question make anybody No abuse me abeg ooo. |

LionDeLeo:You fail to realize something bro. There are IPOBs and then the Igbos with their apex social group Ohaneze Ndigbo. They never agree. The bulk of IPOB is made up of lowclass youths while the Igbo elites mostly identify with Ohaneze.IPOBs clamour for Biafra because they got nothing to lose whereas Ohaneze and the Igbo leaders and dispise it because it's counter productive. That said, the north shouldn't underate the Igbos. This is a tribe with number and resources.A very powerful force to reckon with in this modern era when United.IPOB alone (a shadow of their might) has been a thorn so far even with their non violent approach let alone a united Igbo front backed by their billioniares from Nnewi down to Owerri and the millions all over the world. If other regions are sick of the union, then it's time to disintegrate not issuing threats and ultimatums. |

danjumakolo:Actually, some of them were initially saying that they were not in support of the restoration of Biafra. They decided to keep quiet and fall in line when it became clear that it was the popular position of the Igbo that they want their own ethnic homeland to be called Biafra. My personal view is that after the restoration of Biafra, some of these silent minority should be allowed to remain in Nigeria as Nigerians or to take up dual citizenship. |

Coldsteel:I struck out the irrelevant part. Based on the emboldened, the north has reacted to the agitation of the ibos since they are not satisfied with the union. The quit notice can be judiciously used by the ibos who should have been waiting in the wings for such opportunity. Simply write to EU, ECOWAS, UN and any other relevant body using the declaration as a very good reason why action should be expedited towards the disintegration rather than calling for arrest and be making some non existent claims. |

LionDeLeo:Of course we want to go and have never wanted to be part of Nigeria. Help us push for referendum if you are sincere. BTW it is not because of the Niger Delta oil. Infact it will be more better if they stay with you guys so that we can have out Ibo Nation. We also have oil in some parts of Ibo land. Actually last 2 years we found oil about the distance of 7 kilometers from my house. I guess we can find even more if we search. Beside some of this people you call Niger Delta are Ibos and answer ibo names and their town is in ibo language. Also we have common understanding and can exist together peacefully. But if they do not want to be part of us, it is fine and good |
