Yes the absence of effective metering is a big problem n discouraging factor for would be investors, but I believed the old meter itself wasn't the problem rather it should simply be made temper proof by encased in a formidable iron sheet with aesthetic design, the locks should only be provided n accessed by designated DISCO officials only,a design competition can organized stating the specifications,entries accepted n screen,the most effective accepted n supply contract awarded instead of wasting time n money on the so called modern prepaid meters which create avenues for sharp practices, it's not every problem that requires a bogus solution.

Stop paying estimated bills. If all those without prepaid meters stop paying, PHCN business will collapse and tell you, PHCN will provide prepaid meters for all customers.

I was giving #8000+ for March, 6000+ for April and 8000+ for May with unmetered reading and within these 3 months of about 90 days with 2160 hours, I did not make use of 60 hours of electricity combined.

These disco guys are the highest fraud to ever happen in the history of Nigeria.

Eko Disco wins the award for issuing fraudulent estimated bills. From 18,000 naira monthly bill in January, they suddenly inflicted a 35,000 monthly bill on us in May. Meanwhile, we did not buy any new electronic gadget since beginning of this year, our consumption pattern has not changed, and power supply was worse in May. May God punish EKEDC every single day of this year!

You must be under Eko Disco. This is their modus operandi. A friend of mine travelled for 2 months, and switched off all the appliances in his home from the main switch. They still brought a bill of 15k to his house for each month he was away! Was it ghosts that consumed his electricity?

Which game changer? March 1,2017 never pass? The disconnection is still ongoing. The NERC is a toothless commission.
