Jarus:Attention to details, PWC in Firstbank mock. "Your advert is you" you should have taken time to perfect the copy and adjust before posting. |
| Re: 2016 Firstbank Graduate Trainee Programme by cloud9usher: 5:08pm On Jun 13, 2017 |
Jarus:JarusHub when you said: "See past Mock ACs we organized" I thought we would see a thread having Nairalanders attest to the success of your mock ACs but what you posted are just mere links to where you previously posted your adverts for mock ACs on those particular recruitment threads. |

dyduds:Fair enough. Corrected. Thanks |

cloud9usher:Most of the feedback were through phone calls and texts to us (Nigerians are conservative - don't like talking about their success in public). However, on the NLNG thread in 2015, here is a response by someone that attended our mock comparing with actual AC on whether our AC made a difference: https://www.nairaland.com/1495870/2013-nigeria-liquified-natural-gas/137#35107670 |

First of all, congrats to all who got the invite to the AC, don't rejoice yet cos this is d toughest stage of the selection process (Don't mean to scare you). The best out of d best would be selected So you need to bring your A-game, you may not have a second chance. Listen carefully and follow the info below. It may just help you. There are 5 Stages. 1. Ability/Scenario test. 2. Group Task 3. Computer Test 4. Presentation 5. Interview. After accreditation, U will have an ability test where u'll have to think thru the scenario and choose answers from the options provided. Group Task. You will be divided into groups and then u'll be given a scenario to discuss with ur group. Don't argue or shout any1 down, nor interrupt, make sure U give points and make reasonable sense, don't repeat ur suggestions or findings. Smile while responding and remember you are not competing against d members of your group rather against everyone there. So don't try to be the starlight in your group. Just make your group shine. For Computer Task. You would be given btw 15-20 mins to read the case and prepare your power point slides. You shouldn't have more than 6-10slides, if you don't know how to prepare PP slides... Start learning now. Don't write stories, just give bullet points then explain thats why its called a powerpoint presentation. For Presentation. Here you would be presenting the PP you created yourself. Remember to intoduce urself and what u are presenting. Be confident and bold, smile and focused, dont stutter or sound unsure, be sure of whatever point u make, even when they counter U and say u r wrong, insist and try to give a better explanation for that point. Also thank d panel @ d end of ur presentation. Presentation is 5mins so go straight to d point and don't give unnecessary explanations. Time management is key. Interview. I call it the "How" interview, cos you would be answering the question "How?" a lot. Question on strenght. weakness, leadership skills, use of initiative, creativity and innovation, process improvement, team spirit and many more. Dont forget the question is How... So you would have to explain how you have exhibited this traits. If u fit lie, lie ooo, nobody go ask U if na true or na lie, but it must be full proof, cos a follow up question may arise. what is ur passion, why firstbank, why do u think we shld hire U, then know stuffs about FBN generally and read different interview questions. And most of all commit all to God and ask 4 favour. Please note. Workforce handled the last two AC and HCP is handling this one, some things may change but the idea is still d same and knowing FBN, the process would definitely be same but may add a little twist. Just prepare for the worse and expect the best. Be prepared mentally, physically and spiritually. Wish u all success and the best. Cheers. This is from someone who was at the last AC in 2013 and made it to training sch and FBN. Regards. Ay4sho I may still be around to answer some questions or pop in once in a while. This is my way of giving back, cos I benefited from info given by a good Samaritan here on NL also. Believe me FBN training school is the best in d country, you don't want to miss out. Story for another day. |

todyms:Yes, same way Oyinbo hustle here US - http://300financegurus.com/coaching-page/ Victor Cheng (ex-McKinsey, US) - http://www.caseinterview.com/coaching The Muse (US, UK) - https://www.themuse.com/coaching/interview-coaching Carol Martin (US) - http://www.interviewcoach.com/ We are trying to introduce to Nigeria what is already a well established service in advanced countries and that is all you have to say. Trust me, it's already "better" for the interview coaches. This is not what will make them better. |

ay4sho:@Ay4sho Kindly enlighten me on the following . What are the responsibilities/duties of a management trainee sequel to training school. What are the various departments a management trainee might find his/herself in Firstbank after training and what common characteristics if any are in the roles in this different department as far as trainees are concerned . Thank you for your anticipated response bro. |
| Re: 2016 Firstbank Graduate Trainee Programme by ay4sho: 6:40am On Jun 14, 2017 |
dyduds:As a trainee, your role depends on the department or Branch you are assigned to. So your role may be different from another colleagues role in another department or Branch. Even in d same Branch, another person can be in customer service while another might be in funds transfer unit or retail banking. The similarity in all the role is that you are all on d same grade and your would be assigned roles meant for that grade. Hope this answers your question. |

@Ay4sho You seem to know a lot about first bank graduate trainee program. How much do they actually pay for the stated position. From training school, up until confirmation. This question is as well important to make people decide on whether to pursue it or not! |
