@Austinpee4, @Folaroyal and everyone, Please I would like if you can help me address the following.....

I have valid visit TRV that will be expiring in October 2017. I have visited Canada ones with it. However, as I like to plan things ahead, I'm planning to visit again in December this year for my annual vacation but my current visa will be expired by then. My questions are as follows:

1. Is it possible to apply for renewal of my visit TRV before the current one expires?
2. And if yes, how early can I send in the application?

Thanks.

1.Yes it is possible to renew your visit TRV.

2. This will also be dependent on the processing time stipulated for each region. But you should apply for a renewal atleast 90 days before the current one expires.

Hi @Austinepee4 the iMM 5832 form. There is a part that states are you going to work in canada. Is it safe to say yes since students are allowed 20hrs per week. If i say no, would i be banned from working. Please advice me. Thanks in advance
I'm not very clear regarding the part asking such question. The questionaire questions of the form were more about the intended program. Ensure you are filling the correct part of the IMM 5832.

Nothwitstanding, your answer should be NO if such question is in the questionaire. Your main purpose is STUDY. Working 20hrs as a full time student will be a benefit accompanying your study.

Why don't you send the telex copy to the school so that they give you a receipt with school letter head which you can then submit to CIC

I doubt your school will use the telex copy to issue you an official reciept. Fund will have to be received by them before the issue reciept. So while sending the telex, exercise some patience till your payment is recieved.

Regarding which route is better, non is better. You can go for any depending on what is convenient for you. Both are subject to the same processing time and review.

bros according to what I was told at the bank when I was paying my fees through my dorm account.... The telex is generated after the payment has been received.... So once you get a Telex Copy the school can just use the details on the telex copy to narrow down their search and check for reflection of your payment..

@Chybaz online or paper all NA the same.... Check your situation and resources and do which is best for you

I graduated in December and I applied for my post study work permit. My study visa expired on march 30th together with my temporary resident visa. After I got my 3 years work permit, I had to renew my TRV to allow me travel and re-enter Canada.

Thanks for the clarification. However, did you do PGD back to back? Biko, clear me on how you arrived at the 3yrs work permit. The info is very much valuable to me.

Yea, i agree with you @CanadianNurse AKA mr detective wink . But then, some international currency transfer involves a third party(eg. Western union business solution). Funds will have to reach them first before reaching the school. In this case, a telex is also generated after payment but funds would still not reach the school immediately a telex is issued.

All the same, you have a point.
