obong:Most IPOBians amaze me. They say Igbos are marginalised in Nigeria and yet they want to forcefully entrap minority groups in their new nation; a recipe for Igbo marginalisation! They hardly realise that their projected country does EXACTLY what they accuse Nigeria of! Such an irony!!! |

HiddenShadow: HiddenShadow:And quote exactly WHERE I have spoken for ANY ethnicity on this thread. I'm waiting. You, on the other hand, had this to say: If Ijaws, Ibibios, Annangs, etc join us, you guys can join the Fulani herdsmen to continue with NigeriaCorrecting the false assumption that non-Igboid people want to join you in your struggle is not akin to ASSUMING that they do. |

HiddenShadow:I put it to you again to show me WHERE exactly I have spoken for any ethnicity on this thread! If you can't do that then you have no case against me. You, on the other hand, have made a clear statement which implies the participation of non-Igboid groups in Biafra even when none of the listed groups has expressed such sentiment. If Ijaws, Ibibios, Annangs, etc join us, you guys can join the Fulani herdsmen to continue with NigeriaN.B.: If you like, know me down to my private region, it won't change the truth. I've grown accustomed to IPOBians attacking my person, rather than my statements of FACTS! Just remember that no one is truly a ghost on the internet. |

irrefragable:Your culture accommodates all and that's why you can leave your region and go out to other places. If your culture is closed, you'd not go leave with others, would you? Is it not because you can welcome others to your home that you feel you'd be welcome everywhere you go? I don't know that your culture does not involve sharing country with people who kill because you have always gone into such places yourself for trade, for business and you settle among them. Azikiwe was born in Zungeru Niger State in 1904 and Ojukwu in same Zungeru in 1933. Even before independence Igbos were largely concentrated in the North. Even with all the killings Igbos are still in the North. So argue for Biafra but please don't tell me that your culture does not involve sharing with people who are not accommodating. The evidence speaks otherwise. I am not justifying violence and killings. I detest all religions. But it's better to avoid situations that have the POTENTIAL to lead to violence. I challenged that guy because his logic was warped as in he was saying as a Nigerian he will not respect another man's religion and culture because of the constitution but when he becomes a Biafran he will respect that same religion and culture because by then he will be a foreigner. It's just like a man saying he will not respect his wife while both of them are in the same house but he will respect her when they are divorced. That's why I felt I was conversing with someone whose thinking wasn't mature. And I am like woowwwww so if you can respect another man's culture when you become a foreigner then you ought more to respect it now that you are compatriots. If the Hausa man in religious matters will not tolerate you, then you give him space for peace to reign. Same thing applies to an Hausa man in the East. He too should respect your culture and traditions. Are Yorubas, Igalas and Igbirras not Muslims? Do they kill because of their religion? No. But Nna for the sake of peace I will not go and be drinking beer publicly where Hausa Muslims in the North are. I will give myself brain. Have you lived in the North? |

HiddenShadow:@Boldened: That is EXACTLY my point. You IPOBians should STOP speaking for them. Let their leaders and youths come out and agitate for Biafra first and then we know there is a validity for their inclusion in your struggle. Otherwise, you are only FORCING them into it. |

I understand that the situation in this country is now much of identit, even though it source was the irregularities and the failure of federal character. however, what I'm yet to comprehend is the hush been parade on an and net; every region, tribes are now directly or indirectly agitating for an independent nation. An igbo vouch for biafra Middle belt and their's Yoruba and oduduwa Hause and whatever . How many independent state will Nigeria split into ? shey n'a every tribe go get country now I beg I dey somehow confuse: cutting of the head is the remedy for head ache what I want us to take into consideration is our future in peace |

Thanks for your very objective analysis. I agree with your position on all the issues raised. We all need each other to make progress. But there are a lot of injustices in Nigeria that need to be addressed through restructuring. If we fail to restructure, Nigeria will definitely disintegrate. The core North need to jettison this arrogance of thinking that they own the country. I want Nigeria to restructure and remain one big and progressive nation but I'm not optimistic at all. I like that you pointed out that if the Southeast goes, the Southsouth is also going, with their crude oil because some naive folks are thinking that if the Igbos exit, Nigeria will now have more oil revenue to share. |

Mujtahida:Now can you see your double standard and hypocrisy. You could accept the killing by the northerners as part of their culture but couldn't accept the agitation for self-rule by the igbos as part of our culture. If anything, have the 3million Biafrans that lost their lives in the Civil War and the thousands that have lost their lives in protests since then not enough proof that the igbos desire a separate nation from the barbarians up north. The hypocrisy of you Nigerians is what I find nauseating. You always make excuses for the failings of the northerners but would jump and castigate the igbos for what even isn't a fault. Do you know how disgusted I am by some of their acts here in the east? Do I have to wake up one day and start killing them before you realize how much i want out. Your analogy of igbos settling in the north holds no water. There are igbos in Afghanistan, Iraq, fiji Island, Comoros etc and there are different nationalities here also as well as the northerners themselves. People go to other areas purely for business reasons doesn't mean they like the indigenes. Listen, if you have to use a different scale to judge a people of the same nation then you should also be willing to have them divided into different countries. ....... Wait a minute, i hope you posting this bias because you fear the igbos going and leaving alone at the mercy of the barbaric North. |
