Gwan2:Well, we have been speaking this grammar since 1978 now. Where has it got us? Has Boko, MEND, IPOB and others not already caused you "nuisance"? And you think more of same grammar will get us anywhere? It was the military govt of OBJ that gave us Land Use act. Is that how serious countries create laws? Sure that those it favours have created more states for themselves to dominate the legislature. So talking of democracy changing it since 1999 is sheer hypocrisy. When are we going to face the reality that Nigeria is bitterly divided and is not working? Land Use Act only benefits anyone if we have peace. And he who ignores peaceful negotiation or separation courts a disorderly and messy one. Yugoslavia should be a warning. |

[quote author=Gwan2 post=57568741]In as much as am not in support of the recent quit notice by northern youth and hate speeches occupying our cyberspace.....I will like to ask a very pertinent question......WHERE DO THE NIGER delta PEOPLE STAND? . You dissociated yourselves from IPOB and still reacting aggressively to quit notice issued to them. . In this century NIGER DELTA still carry oil for head like it will make them be like Dubai if given 100% derivatives?....Pls go learn how southern Sudan fare Will their oil and its export polices. . In this era that OPEC member countries are trying to cut down supply of crude oil because of glut in market to maintain a reasonable price, yet some people still think crude oil gat dsame value it had 3 decades ago? . How had the massive monthly allocation, 13% derivatives, selected favors both from Federal and oil companies helped you guys over time......I jus saw a shell livewire business grant...wanted applying only for me to see it is restricted only for the NIGER Delta states.. ![]() . Yet some of you that had been curse from your ancestry think your problems is from the man working in chevron or Nnpc either in Lagos or Abuja...Think well, but this time add wisdom.[/quote .English is not a yardstick to measure intelligence or wisdom ma brother, oftentimes people come here n just dispense their level of stupidity. I must commend u 4 ur comment cos it shows that u ar nt just educated bt a product of morality. Our people are not enlightened n most of whom are educated are educated illiterate. People bring out their selfish interest, colour it with all sorts of ingredents, present it 2 our people. Without any digestion they just say I support bcause of their inability 2 think...Weldon sir |

AreaFada2:I'm sorry, but your argument is incoherent bro. For the umpteen time, SS OR SE have senators in the National assembly, these are representatives of the region and its population. Lobby, solicit, push for amendments or whatever you want via that channel....that is how it is done in develop worlds you cited. I am in support if only it can be done diplomatically and peacefully....not issuing threats and ordering legal oil bloc owners and companies operating outside Niger delta to either leave or bring its head office to a troubled region. . Let me use the US again as a model, oil producing states like TEXAS, CALIFORNIA etc have sole right and policies guarding oil production, taxes and revenue generation although federal laws such as waste management, health, pollution super-cedes individual states policies. . But again OIL WELLS ON FEDERAL LANDS OR WATERWAYS LIKE THE GULF OF MEXICO and others solely lies with the federal government......again this is achieved because it was embedded in the American constitution. . Mind you in as much as some state control their oil policies, federal law supercedes respective state laws.....The US started major crude oil export around 2015, because there was a law that restricted exportation of American crude, reasons they have a massive crude reserve. . . Summarily, push for constitutional amendment diplomatically instead of the parochial way ND are displaying. As far as the constitution hold water, you cant say our oyel or their oil.....it is the Nigerian government oil |

Gwan2:The more reason why they should be given total control of their oil, very soon oil will lose value completely, they need to structure themselves well before that will happen |
| Re: Niger Delta Militants Issue Quit Notice To Northerners Again by Gwan2(m): 2:27pm On Jun 16, 2017 |
OBAGADAFFI:No doubt, absolute no doubt..........Nigeria had and is still surviving on crude oil from Niger Delta, again I said oil from Niger Delta not Niger Delta oil, until when the constitution is amended or Niger Delta become a sovereign entity, it stands that way. . Government policies from inception had done little or noting to bring effective diversification of the economy, reasons we are still battling who owns crude oil till date.......US daily crude production is more than 4x our production.....meaning they have abundance of such resource, bt because of diversification coupled will existing legislative policies on ground.....you will hardly consider US an oil producing country. |

amyzon:Giving comes with diplomacy, lobbying, perseverance, one voice etc..........not threatening oil companies to relocate back to a troubled region or ordering legal oil bloc owners to relinquish their oil licence. |

Gwan2:well said my brother. Sometimes I wonder what our problems are as a nation. If you can't develop your region with massive allocation coming to you from the Federal government, I doubt if any meaningful development can take place in the ND if given all resources in the whole world. The extra little given as derivation fund above other states has not achieved any benefits known to man. CORRUPTION & ELITE are our problems. |
| Re: Niger Delta Militants Issue Quit Notice To Northerners Again by amyzon: 2:40pm On Jun 16, 2017 |
Gwan2:Diplomacy, lobbying, one voice etc as u said require number to play out and that is one thing the south southerners lack. Which is why they settle for threat and blasting of pipe line |

NLandIsHypocrit:Bros, One Nigeria don tire everybody, no be only you or una..................The problem is that the natural human mind will always want to give reasons as the cause of his problems except himself. Some people don suffer sotey dem look left right and center find who to blame for their woes tire, dem no see...the easier route na to blame am on one Nigeria.., beclouding their reasoning about how they could had been leaving in UTOPIA if not for Lord Luggard Amalgamation... . . Bros, Naija hard, Naija hard...of course it is tough living in this country, but before you look at Isreal, Dubai, Malaysia, south korea, Singapore as where you could had been if you were in a different country, have you bothered going through those countries histories. ? |

amyzon:Lobbying and diplomacy doesn't NECESSARILY have to do with number bro, Scotland or was it Wales had a referendum to either stay within the UK or exist as a sovereign country irrespective of their number. Although majority chose to be within the UK. |
| Re: Niger Delta Militants Issue Quit Notice To Northerners Again by amyzon: 3:03pm On Jun 16, 2017 |
Gwan2:Not in Nigeria, in Nigeria with our system of government, number is all that matters. Which is why it seems like a lot of other tribe hate northern , cos we all live at the mercy of the them which of cos is very wrong |

amyzon:...Thank you. Our people does not understand the reality on ground. This present system is largely skewed in favour of the north as long as the "numbers"are concerned. That is why they keep reminding the southerners that they constitute 55% and 75% of the country's population and landmass respectively. This is amazing! |

Oyel is no longer valuable in the Oil market according to you, but you people are still grabbing it with your two hands, two legs and 36 set of your teeth in the name of one nijiriya. See where all the nomads are trooping out from the bush to apply all their deceptive and lying tentacles on Biafran elites that they may continue to drink the awuf oyel.
