So telling private individual with license to oil blocs and oil companies with licence of operation to return license issued by the Federal government and vacate the region is utterly uncalled for.......and this is where i wont just shut up and mind my business because once they start their disturbances my business as well as movement will be interrupted.

It was the military govt of OBJ that gave us Land Use act. Is that how serious countries create laws. Sure that that it favours have created more states for themselves to dominate the legislature. So talking of democracy changing it since 1999 is sheer hypocrisy.

Lobby, solicit, push for amendments or whatever you want via that channel....that is how it is done in develop worlds you cited. I am in support if only it can be done diplomatically and peacefully....not issuing threats and ordering legal oil bloc owners and companies operating outside Niger delta to either leave or bring its head office to a troubled region.

Let me use the US again as a model, oil producing states like TEXAS, CALIFORNIA etc have sole right and policies guarding oil production, taxes and revenue generation although federal laws such as waste management, health, pollution super-cedes individual states policies.

But again OIL WELLS ON FEDERAL LANDS OR WATERWAYS LIKE THE GULF OF MEXICO and others solely lies with the federal government......again this is achieved because it was embedded in the American constitution.

Mind you in as much as some state control their oil policies, federal law supercedes respective state laws.....The US started major crude oil export around 2015, because there was a law that restricted exportation of American crude, reasons they have a massive crude reserve.

I have never seen a country so hatefully divided in modern time amongst its constituent parts as Nigeria. Why each government that comes in thinks they can continue presiding over the people with coersion baffles me. Why peoples concerns and opinions do not matter in Nigeria is unexplainable.

Empires that were 1 million times richer and powerful than Nigeria came down and ceased to exist because of their leaders' power drunkeness. If I were to be a powerful oligarch in the North, I would be more concerned about the continued existence of Nigeria 25 years on. I wouldnt be stupid to think the British would forever be there to support us giving that the British themselves are not so sure of their own union's indivisibility. A time would come, and very soon, when no one cared about the so called restructuring anymore.
