Also, what is the nature of entry level responsibility? Is it tellering, customer service? What kind of job will we be doing after the training?

philvirus:
Oga have u passed the AC first?? Do u know how to prep PowerPoint slides? Have u practiced ur numerical and logical reasoning? Do u know how group tasks work? These are what you should be worried about. Except you don't want the job which will be better for some of us sef. Less competition.

Kentrasso:

very silly response.

VERY VERY silly response I swear! I don't know why some Nigerians reason like this, they act like zombies who act like their whole life depends on a particular job and can take just anything, pathetic set of douch bags! So you must enter zombie mood and not ask the type of job duties the type of job you might be picking over another? Like seriously? That's not being desperate but been despicable and deserve to be despised.

The other day it was their crude mentality of saying asking to know about salary is not important yet, so I don't deserve to know the salary of a job I wanna go for? I don't deserve to know if it pays less than my present job or less than other job offers I have on the line? You gotta be kidding me!

Today its this guy saying trash because someone is asking to know the type of duties the proposed job would entail, its your type of people that can even go and wash the toilet of an interviewer just so they know you want a job. Act too servile and no employer would feel you have self worth enough to employ you.

So, let's say the question is valid in the first place, who will be in the position to answer it Since that isn't obviously part of the AC and i don't think anyone on the thread has played a graduate trainee role before. So Ideally the question should be directed to your interviewer at the AC, if you are really keen on finding out. You need to learn and finesse the art of calming your nerves. Nobody has the monopoly of being irate and rude, Trust me, we all have that potential too. Some just know when it's appropriate to display it and when it's not. Above all, that's not even why we are here in the first place.

I would specially like to thank Ayotunde200 for giving us an insight into what to expect at the AC. You were obviously not the only one at the AC and you alone chose to share your experience with us.Since the rest are MIA, I hope and pray they are doing fine tho. From your responses and answers you have done a good job bro. Wishing you all the best at the end of the day.

Okay, guys, this is my first time commenting on a nairaland post, so please forgive my mistakes (if any).

First, you guys are really angry people. Jeez! Y'all gotta chill though. Nothing is ever this serious. There's always the option of powering off your phone rather than engage in all these senseless online tirades.

I was part of the 7am Saturday batch for AC and I must tell you that it was way more than I had expected. You'll undergo 7 activities: Group presentation, Competency Based Interview, Logical Reasoning Test, Numerical Reasoning Test, Written Test, Oral Presentation (and prior to this, preparation for the presentation) and Personality test. Each of them would take 20-30minutes each. I'll try as much as possible to go through each of them.

Group presentation, Written Test and Oral Presentation were interlinked (this might change). That is, the topic discussed in the group will be what you will present individually and write about. Try as much as possible to be vocal, make salient points (and, if possible, take an initiative to lead the group) during the group presentations.

Numerical reasoning is made up of commercial maths questions (practice your SHLs and you'll be good to go)

Logical reasoning is a combination of inductive and deductive reasoning, critical thinking and a bit of GMAT problem solving questions.

Well, competency based interview and personality tests are familiar. I can't tell you how to answer those ones, just freestyle mahnn.

Additional: Dress corporately. Suit and tie, smart corporate wears for the ladies. I was thrown off balance when, during my presentation, I was abruptly interrupted to answer why I wasn't in suit.

All in all, be positive, stay positive. Don't be intimidated by anyone or anything. Smile throughout. Even if you get a reject mail, SO WHAT?

I have gained alot from Nairaland, so I decided to let others gain from me.

I was at the AC scheduled for 1:30pm, although we entered some minutes after the scheduled time. We had some funny lunch (snacks & a carbonated drink). First, I was wondering what the day holds for all of us. My shift was about 40 participants. So i assumed 40 participants *2 shifts per day*6 weeks of Assessment= 480 Participants altogether. This is quite a few.

In the light of this, the Head, Talent Management gave us a warm welcome assuring us that FBN had the capacity of employing everyone, although I doubt this. If it could, then there would not have been any need for an AC in the first instance.
More encouraging was the fact that we are the only 12% of all the first test participants. I was encouraged by his words. Although, I had always been unserious with the FBN stuff. I only wanted a challenge. (I love competitions & Challenges alot)

Now the business resumed with Career inventory Objectives, then a group discussion ( I would advise you to be smart at this, take the lead, do not argue, give everyone a chance, and give salient points), numerical & logical reasoning, PowerPoint presentation, oral presentation of the PPP, written test (an essay on the case study), a competency-based interview and feedback.

Get ready for up to 7 hours stress at a goal. Be self-motivated. Do not shut anyone down. Life is all about love and giving.
I wait for a success mail from FBN, if not, I still remain self-motivated and self-confident. Do not let regret mails keep you down. Fear nothing. If you fail, get up, start again. If FBN rejects you, then a better offer is coming. FBN is not the best in the world. So be confident. like I say Fear nothing.
