No it can't. Tuition alone will be about $9000-$12000 on the average per semester, do the maths. Living expenses depends on you if you are staying off campus.
Is living off campus cheaper than staying in school provided accommodation?

For a lot of schools yes.....it works out cheaper than staying in school but depending on how far. U need to factor in transportation as well

For some people, they like the comfort of staying so close to school so pay it anyways so depending on your needs and budget...but to answer to your question YES most off campus is cheaper and more sharing opportunities which brings down the cost.....ie 3 students living in a 3 bedroom works cheaper than a studio flat or 1 bed flat for 1 person

Congrats bro, I rejoice with you. Your testimony is inspiring. I have been denied 4times but I am not giving up! I live at igando, Akesan bus stop precisely. Pleas :Pe, can we hook up?
To be honest with you I only crashed with my uncle that night because I went to a radio station around Okota.... I'm back home now.... But since it's your 5th you'd be going for, brother I advise you to fast and pray. There's nothing anybody here can help you with other than advice. The power is all God's. So it's Him you should talk to. Just lock yourself in 1 room, keep aside any distraction... Phone, food and just concentrate on Him. Call him, pray, pray read your Bible... Use your Bible to pray. His promises are there and He won't go against His word. Just pray and believe, God will surely manifest in His glory. Good luck.

To me, your prior b1/b2 visa application to visit your fiancé smells of immigrant intent (the visa officer's thoughts: she is only applying for this student visa to join her fiance abroad, seeing that she was denied the b1/b2 visa last year, she may not have any intent to study). Honestly you didn't have to give all that extra explanation after you answered 'yes' to his question, except if he asked you further why you applied for that visa. Keep your answers simple, short and straight to the point. Giving more information than necessary gives room for you to say something that could strike against you.

Asides that, everything else you answered looks good. I'd say try again. Or it could just be that you were unlucky and met the wrong visa officer.

There was no extra explanation, I just said yes. The explanation was made want for Nairalanders

Why not just figure out what your weaknesses are and make amends; perhaps the school you're applying to, or the program you are going for. Or maybe age or something. I'd rather you concentrate the most of your energy on all of those possible loopholes and return with full confidence of appropriate measures taken.

And if you're gonna ask him to dwell all of his energy on fasting and praying for a student visa, how about he focuses on asking for God's guidance or betterstill pray to God to help him become a very successful person in Nigeria such that the US would be begging him to take their visa? Because getting a US student visa is not a solution to any problem, it's just the beginning of another challenging phase of life.

Exactly. That level of prayer is what makes people become atheists if another denial ever happens (I pray it doesn't).

I just weak as I dey read that thing. People pray more than that and still get denied. If he'd follow that route, I'd rather he asks for direction from God whilst amending loopholes.

There is freedom of religion and it will be insane to criticize anybody's beliefs whether religious, sane or not. The problem is how common sense and the use of google have been replaced by online pastors and imams. If you think it is your approach to practical oriented things like prepping for a visa interview, good for you. I just found that one post a bit funny and it started to look like satire at some point.

true ooo, many have spent millions on the F1 waka and after that no job ,no return on investment. Although some have finished with F1 and gone on to be way more successfully than if they haven't

F1 visa doesn't mean "Everything" to warrant all this extreme praying ...... As anything , get feedback work on improving oneself and pray but with moderation grin
