Hello @baeboss. Could you please help with the link you used for your visa on arrival application? The link on the portal says i have to be a business investor. Was this the same you used? If not could you please send me the link to the form you used and if possible a screenshot of the page. Thanks baeboss: |

staceyo: I have to reply here as I can't seem to PM you. Just call the office of vital records in Virginia, Richmond I think! They'll tell you 6-8 weeks but if you call them several times, it'll come in 2 weeks. The 6-8 weeks is just so you don't sue them if it comes in late. When you call, give them your child's details and that's all. Our child's came in the mail after 2 weeks even though they told us 6-8 weeks |

Ah, i actually have read the back and forth argument on whether the letter is needed or not. For me i just want to be on the safe side. Its not going to cost anything. So if i send the email and its not needed then fine... but imagine how bad it would be if i end up meeting someone at POE that asks me why i did not declare that i was going to the US to have a baby... though in my case i used drop box and at the time of applying did not even know i was pregnant. But my case might seem suspicious, cos out of fear for Trump administration, the minute he won the election i renewed my visa via dropbox even though i still had 2 months of visa left. So its basically to fulfill all righteousness. is this the email addy to send it to? Consularabuja@state.gov anonymousmum: |

jiji2017: The VO has confirmed that the letter is not needed. Yes the CBP will probably ask you why you did not indicate you would be coming to the US to have a baby. But what they mean is why did you not declare this AT YOUR INTERVIEW... not in form of a letter of intent which they don't read. The "i did not know i was pregnant" when you were applying has been overused and exposed as the sham it is. Yes you used dropbox, but you could have reapplied for a visa interview as soon as you knew you would be changing your intent. When you did dropbox, you knew you would be using it for childbirth, but claimed you were renewing based on your earlier intent - a vacation (which was false). 1 Like |

TWoods:She said she renewed because of Trump..omo |
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 5 by OmoBendel24: 8:15am On Jun 22, 2017 |
elfmann: Could that have been the reason filled in the form or given to the VO if she was called in for an interview for instance? Trump's name couldn't have appeared as a reason/PURPOSE for renewal at any point even though that was the reason deep down in her heart and it would only have remained in her heart surely. But then, a VACATION would, most likely! In the days the VOs talked about needing absolutely no document for your interview if the purpose of your trip was for just a visit, it sounded abnormal, but today it seems normal not to bother about documents for such interviews. Why then kill ourselves about one meaningless paper called "Change of Intent Letter" even when "the powers that be" in such matters have emphatically stressed it to us that it is almost as worthless as a tissue paper (we too, we have come to the reality of it's worthlessness)? Do you guys need to always have some sort of back and forth as regards this? Not necessary IMO! If it comforts the OP to go for it, let her go for it anyways, but surely it counts for nothing.... |

Other family members with visa should pick the dropbox option, while the one without a visa is scheduled for an interview. If a minor, one of the parent with a visa would accompany the minor for an interview. new PaloInternation: |

Affordability is relative. You are looking for a 1 or 2 bed furnished apartment. What you find around for a traveller on a budget is a room leased out in an apartment where you live with the host, not have the house to yourself, except for some airbnb apartments. A lot of mamas have stayed in houston and alot are presently there, budget travellers. Maybe check Chenonye's moniker, she recently posted on your request. jiji2017: |
