By default everyman is a computer full with virus, What the blood of Jesus does is the format the computer by giving it a new operating system, then if that man continues in christ an anti virus is installed in the new OS to resist virus attack (satan). Now virus is produced every day meaning the satan is active every moment hence Christians has to update their virus database often to resist attacks

Though he may be punished by the laws of the land but in the presence of God he is a free man and if he dies in his state of righteousness, heaven is for sure for him.

This is how Christianity promotes immorality

It is like a pedophile that is on trial for murdering his victim allowed to go free simply because he knows the son of the judge and the state cancels his record of pedophilia. It is absolute nonsense and it is really baffling that adults can peddle such nonsense arrogantly in public

Therefore, brethren, kill as many people as you wish. Take other people's property by force including their wives or husbands. Lie your way out of any situation. ..

Don't worry, brethren. When you are through, just accept Jesus and you are as good as new.

Nonsense!

Galatians 5:13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

Bro, speak to that flesh of yours

If that's true, then it no longer matters what you BELIEVE in. It's your ACTIONS that count, so you wouldn't need Jesus, in which case you wouldn't be a Christian, so you're wrong. In Christianity your beliefs are INFINITELY more important than your deeds, which makes it a simplistic religion for dummies and spastics that don't want to be responsible for their lives and actions, and want to put it in the hands of a fantasy conjured up by primitive ancients. If deeds are more important as you claim, why did Jesus grant salvation straight away to a THIEF on the cross whose deeds were bad, simply because he believed in Jesus and acknowledged him as the Messiah? I'm glad you can see the grotesque stupidity and immeasurable evil of the pernicous doctrine of Justification by Faith.

Matthew 12:33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit. 12:35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.

This should answer your question

Once the tree is good, it becomes good, if the tree becomes bad, it is totally bad, so you either give your life to Christ and start living right and God would see a good tree.

Evans has not committed unpardonable sin, God can forgive him if he truly repents but must face the shame of what he has done. God can forgive you if you got drunk but what you did when you got drunk is there for you to bear. Even yourself, Evan might be better than you. Don't judge

Do you know God wants us to have a personal revelation about Him

Jeremiah 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

Lemme ask ma, do you know God for yourself, forget all that you have heard, does God speak to.you, do you know about Spiritual gifts, is your desire on earthly things or your desire is in knowing God truely cause I weep for God when people use their religious sentiment to interpreted the personality of God

To tell an immoral man that their is no God to judge is work, hence he gain confidence to remain wicked

By telling a man there is no god, it makes him realize that he is responsible for his actions and that there are things as a judiciary system that men have come up with over the years to punish those who commit what society considers to be crime(s).

OR

To tell an immoral man that there is God that will pardon his evil works IF he can repent, hence he sees compassion and change his from his wicked way

God in this scenario is useless because most criminals already believe in god. Evans is said to pray daily by his wife and arm robbers would pray for a successful heist. There is no proof that belief in god reduces the tendency to commit crime. Even here in Nigeria we have one of the world's most corrupt officials even though they swear to god to be honest during their tenure with either the bible or quran and yet still go ahead to loot as much as they can. They are even endorsed by daddy GOs and Imams despite the obvious lootings going on.

So, if you steal a shirt from me and thereafter you claim to give your life to Christ, you think you'll be free from the consequences of your action? Any day I see you with my shirt, I'll put tyre round your neck. Go and explain your story to God in heaven.

When you give your life to Christ, you obtain SPIRITUAL forgiveness. It doesn't in any way confer PHYSICAL forgiveness. The only way to ensure physical forgiveness is to make peace with those you have wronged AKA restitution.

The law of sowing and reaping is not a spiritual law, it's a natural law. Hence, even if you claim to be saved, you must be responsible for the consequences your actions.

Giving your life to Christ wipes spiritual records, it doesn't delete your case file in Federal Sars.

repentance and forgiveness and mercy does not exempt you from restitution.

in fact it is important to embrace restitution as part of seeking forgiveness from God

I still haven't seen a complete explanation to this scripture. I am not much of a religious person, but I read my Bible and try to avoid evil. The same bible says that "whatever a man sows he shall reap", examples are abound in the Bible of people who were evil and repented of their evil, they were forgiven, but in one way or the other they paid for the sins they committed. I will like to use the Apostle Paul as an example, he oversaw Stephen's stoning and persecuted the early Christians, after repentance I don't know of any other Apostle that suffered as much as Paul did.
The Bible also wrote that heaven and earth shall pass away but my word shall remain, another passage wrote that non of his words shall ever fall to the ground. I believe that whatever a man sows he reaps, even though he is repentant or born again he must pay for his actions soon or later.
My thoughts anyway, then again what do I know?

Oooooh, thanks for bringing up the case of Paul

1 Timothy 1:12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry; 1:13 Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

Lemme ask, Jesus suffered so much in the Bible, which sin did He commit, many past prophets of old suffered so much and yet, I can't remember, if they had any record of sin.

Paul had the strength to do great works and the sufferings of Paul was not to pay for the evil he did, naaaa, it was not. God said to Paul, I want you ti testify before Caesar(Rome)

Acts 23:11 And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome.

All that Paul suffered, was so that the gospel would reach the outermost part of the earth and you would see Paul say things like

1 Corinthians 9:23 And this I do for the gospel's sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you.

Galatians 4:19 My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,

please remember Jesus said, Matthew 10:23 But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come. I believe this is your definition of what Paul passed through, but it was not restricted to Paul only, its a part of the cross of the believer.

Insofar as I would agree that some aspects of religion as a whole are questionable, and that contemporary interpretations of Christianity especially Pentecostalism leave much to be desired with their ahistorical and unchristian focus on wealth, I must ask you to reconsider your negative and militant atheism.

Christianity does not promote immorality. Far from it.

The moral standards you enjoy today mostly come in a direct line from the Aristotelian/Judean/Christian teachings and traditions. Christian moral ideas from Jesus and Paul through Augustine, to Calvin and the modernists like Dietrich Bonhoeffer (I leave out more than 30 other philosophers out of consideration for space), are responsible for much of the modern values we take for granted.

Christian ethics are at the root of the legal code practiced in just about all of Europe, America and their colonies. Even Asians adopt many of Christian codes of conduct indirectly. Christian ethics have permeated the entire world.
The killing of twins was stopped by Christian doctrines, the forgiveness of prisoners can be traced to christian ideals, same for the equality of the sexes and universal suffrage. Democracy is a Greek idea polished by Christian influence.
Christianity preaches against usury, polytheism (partly for its destructive effect on society), murder, adultery, stealing, bearing false witness, and showing unconcern at our fellow beings suffering. Even a respect for animals can be traced to Judeo/Christian teachings (one of the barbaric acts the Israelites noted about the Philistines was their habit of cutting off the leg of sheep for meat to keep the animal alive and the remainder fresh).
Finally, Christians and Christianity more than any other group, helped spread education and science to the world. This is no small feat. I would argue that the Christian influence the strongest foundation of modern civilization

To assert that Christianity promotes immorality is blatant falsehood.

In the passage you quote, nobody, least of all Jesus is advocating that evil should go unpunished. Instead he means that no one is so bad that he will not be accepted into the fold if he repents. This is a radical departure of the idea of retributive and exclusionary law that existed before Jesus time.
Remember the principal message of Jesus was forgiveness, love and repentance. The same Jesus declared a strict division between the religious and the political institutions : "Render unto Caesar what is Caesars ...."(Mark 12:17)
A world without punishment is not a christian world. A world without redemption isn't either.

Personally I tend towards (christian) agnosticism but that is not to say that I would support a misinterpretation of Christian doctrine in pursuit of my motives.

Happy Sunday

Of course not. If you commit a crime pay the time. That is the essence of responsibility. That is why we call ourselves adults

That said, god does not have the right to punish anyone for sin because it created sin and created us with full knowledge of our sins before we even commit them, if the claim of it being omniscient and omnipresent are anything to go by, and therefore the responsibility of our crimes rest on it

Fortunately, men of the judiciary know to ignore god when passing sentences because they understand every man is responsible for his actions

I am yet to see a single criminal that was found guilty and allowed to walk free just because he/she is a "born again" Christian

Because we have a failed system of justice and government in Nigeria. It has nothing to do with Christianity or Islam or even traditional religion.
All countries with social order share the same characteristics of strong government and institutions . They may be Islamic (Dubai), Christian(Norway) or atheist(China), Shintoist (Japan) etc.

Yea, about restitution, why would anyone want to keep what does not belong to them in the first place and feel at ease. This post, well, I believe it would achieve the purpose for which it was intended. Many people are living under condemnation all their lives, not knowing what to do. Like someone earlier said, what shall separate us from the Love that abound in Christ, God sincerely Loves us, but we need to tell people God loves them at times, is not everytime we should be screaming the Hell gospel
