Men are greedy. That is what leads to war. A fight over resources, be it natural resources or human resources. No nation ever went to war with a nation of beggars. Nations go to war with each other all the time. I can assure you that if it were Nigeria that had the upper hand like Britain once did, they would be conquistadors.

But you're trying to inject racism into the mix all the time. If they were so possessed with the thought that blacks were any less human, the logical thing to do would be to work to exterminate them rather than putting them to work in plantations. Using live gorillas for work could have given them less headache. That in itself shows that they quite agree that a black man is a rational being. Wars are about resources mostly. Racism doesn't go as far as you wish it to.

But by this your argument, would you agree with me that South Africans are being racist by attacking Nigerians who were prospering in their country? Will you agree that what is good for chukwuemeka should also be good for chukwunonso. If you fail to indict the South Africans involved in those atrocities, then, you have no ground on which to indict the white man on the charge of racism.

@Rossikki: Thanks for the link to Kerma - I had never heard of it before. The formal history of man is an incomplete patchwork of stories that excludes many phenomenon and actors, the black man inclusive, but we are asked to accept the narrative without question.
