I learnt I can apply for visit visa through emirates airways (which I prefer),pls I hate the agent of a thing and like to ask my chances of being granted if I do it myself.

You can apply through emirates airline but note that you must book your whole hotel stay through them as well. Just send an email to them and get a reply within few days with their visa requirements and you can forge ahead from there. If the documents they request from you is complete then you have nothing to worry about.

They have different visa fees

96-hour 4 days from arrival date AED 200 Non-extendable
Tourist - short term (single entry) 30 days from arrival date AED 330 Non-extendable
Tourist - short term (multiple entry) 30 days from first entry AED 650 Non-extendable
Tourist - long term (single entry) 90 days from arrival date AED 800 Non-extendable
Tourist - long term (multiple entry) 90 days from first entry AED 1,750 Non-extendable

Dubai is a city that never sleeps, when you exit the airport you will see the amount of taxis waiting to carry passengers.

You can convert it either at the airport or with any exchange centers after you must have exited the airport so no worries.

You can buy sim card at the airport at a registered du / Etisalat stand inside the airport, don't buy from those guys parading there oh.

You can get metro cards only when you have exited the airport or you can ask the staffs at the airport, you can get the metro cards at metro stations and that same card can be used on buses as well.

Du and that's what i use because it is much cheaper as you are charged by the second, the SIM package is cheaper (60 Dhs as opposed to Etisalat 100 to 120 Dhs) and their rates for international calls are better.

please i need clarification on why the post of Drsleekqas was deleted
was it deleted because it talk about reporting dubious agents to agencies that deals with dubai visa fraud cases in dubai
or was it deleted because his language or manner of approach was poor..
i don't support people flaunting the rules guiding this thread because it is the rule that keep the thread in order and allow mature and sensible people to be part and contributor of the thread.
as we all know the thread is DIY do it yourself which we all understand why to deter turning the thread into marketing ground for both genuine and fake agents which is understandable.
in the process of DIY do it yourself many people have lost their life savings to dubious agents who work and live in dubai and are very relaxed because they feel they are far away and untouchable
the idea of involving agencies that deals with dubai visa fraud in dubai raised by Drsleekqas is a good idea because it would strike fear in the heart these fake and dubious agents who reside in dubai.
i know of 8 to 9 people who are entrapped and in the snare of these life ruining agents are willing to come forward if such agencies can come to their rescue to catch these untouchables
so if the thread doesn't support mentioning these agencies then what would you suggest because i know you have vast knowledge in travel business
people are losing their life savings everyday to fake agents so please what would you suggest
your contribution would be highly appreciated.

It was deleted for advertising a whatsapp group dealing with fraudulent visa agents.

Whatsapp group is anti-traffic.a selfish idea and using this forum to promote it is a bad idea.

If you want to discuss procedures on how to deal with fraudulent visa agents in Dubai then open a thread and keep contributions open for the benefit of others in similar situation. This info will be available if googled unlike whatsapp group.

Have always been told that been in the UAE gives more advantage than securing from outside...cos it makes the work of the organisation more easier. Am on my processing to leave SOON by September. Am an holder of M.sc in Applied geophysics...and B.sc in Geology and Mineral Sciences... With some professional courses... NEBOSH Intl technical certificate in Oil and Gas Operational safety(IOGC) and NEBOSH IGC... Have been told told bout the importance of some ISO courses like ISO 18001., which gives better edge over there. Do have eye for the oil and gas sector, if it comes when I arrive, good but am ready to start from somewhere in other to get other certifications done. Please gurus in the house... hope this my little education and experience would grant me a start over there...to push my career. God bless.

First of all, I've heard many things so pls I just want to know if there are age restrictions on Dubai visa for Nigerians or whether there are restrictions of any kind for Nigerians in general.
