All praises to God Almighty for a successful visa Approval after I was denied visa two months ago( April 12 to be precise wasn't a nice day for me) and that was how I found this thread.i got advice from the gurus to refire and apply for a bachelor's degree rather than the associate degree I got denied for but I believe in God intervention and still went with the a community college I20...fast forward this morning the rain was much Chaii rain way sock me today no be here ooo plus the bus I entered stop at oniru if you are familiar with vi and I had to walk from there to bonny camp before I could get keke( I wish you could see me that morning you go pity for me) after my biometric verification I was on the line watin to be interview and I was fortunate to listen to profojah Interview Chaii the guy was so audible and the way he was gesticulating and explain his program as well I was like which kind wahala course be this bayi pale kini grin grin ....that's how I was directed to window three fresh looking young guy always with white earpiece.......

Vo: Good morning
Me: morning sir with a smile
Vo: what's yours study plan?
Me: I will be taking 64 credit of course work at a period of 24 month which some of the courses I will be taking include engineering graphics, dynamic, calculus and the likes prior to my graduation which I will be transferring to obtain a bachelor's degree ( vo look impressed with my response after denying the first two guys after bleeping with their response)
Vo: Why associate degree and not bachelor's degree
Me: I'm going for an associate degree because the only place I can get so much in depth knowledge on my field of study in my first two years at an affordable rate before transferring to a 4 years university happens to be a community college, so it's not really all about the associate degree but it's about what I can aquire and gain during the period before transferring
Vo: Why did you choose this school
Me: I choose baltimore city community college because I was impressed with the standard of the program I Was applying for after some extensive review I found out that they offer more hands on approach of the courses I will be taking compare to some traditional four years university in their first two years which was very impressive and was what I was looking for.
Vo: what are your plans after graduation?
Me: I intend transferring my 64 credit to Morgan state university to obtain a bachelor's degree in civil engineering after which I will be returning to practice in one of the top construction companies here in Nigeria
Vo: when did you finish secondary school
Me:2012
Vo:what have you been doing since then
Me:after sec school I enrolled to a technical school to learn about satellite TV and cctv installation and afterwards I applied for an Advance level program which I finished in 2016
Vo:which other schools did you apply to
Me: Morgan state university and Wester Nebraska community college
Vo: so you intend going for an associate degree then you will transfer?
Me yes sir
Vo: I will be approving your visa pick it up in the.....
Me: I went deaf and almost jump up..

I want to say a very big thanks you to everyone on the is thread you are all amazing and special thank you to @Teedawg and @neurosic for a one month intensive mock interview I don't know you in person to thank you enough but God Almighty will surely reward you and I hope to meet you guys someday..... That's how I got my visa approved for a community college
congrats bro!

hello guys, God is Great and He indeed answers prayers-
I was finally at the embassy today after so many inconsistencies in my application. 7:00 batch. I must say its really been a rough and long journey, getting into the main interview hall was like heaven to me. I felt something different; that i can explain. Normally i love teaching and love to express myself with my hands whenever I am talking but during my practice in front of a mirror I always sat down and thought that was how the interview would be. Fortunately, I just gained confidence (though i prayed much about that) when i realized it was a standing interview. In the hall, i noticed the VO in the third interview was just giving white paper. He interviewed more than ten people before myself and only denied a couple going for vacation(i must say the man didn't sound convincing).
This is how it went

VO: HELLO,(SMILES) PASS ME YOUR .....
ME: obliged
VO: TELL ME ABOUT YOUR STUDY PLAN IN THE US?
ME: (breathes in) I am going to GVSU for my masters in cell and molecular Biology with emphasis in Biotechnology. During a study period of 24 months I would be required to take 36 credit unit hours of courses including 5 electives scheduled for 9 credit hours per semester. After my study I intend to come back to Nigeria and take up a lecturing job at my home university where I would not only teach students but also motivate them to embrace a career in this rapidly developing field(at this point VO looks at me with interest) on the long run I intend to become a major proponent of Biotechnology here in Nigeria, establishing a research and development industry that will aim at exploiting local biomaterials to produce cheap and alternative bioproducts for the local populace.

VO: How many schools did you apply to?
ME: 4, listed them

VO:Who is sponsoring you?
ME: My uncle
VO: what does he do?
ME: told him
VO: What did you study in your undergraduate?
ME: Biotechnology
VO: What have you been doing since after your NYSC?
ME: I finished my NYSC late 2016. Between the periods of January to may 2017, I worked as a voluntary academic tutor where i prepare students for the UTME, tutor them in science subjects like biology, carryout routine revision of past questions and answers. I also advice them on suitable career courses to choose in the University based on their past academic qualifications and dreams.(looks at me and tries to interrupt, i noticed because all this i was saying was not written in my DS 160 then i quickly continue) earlier this month i took up a contact job with Bleep as product contract manager (he then nods: perhaps is because this is what is on the DS 160) then i told him my job responsibilities.

VO: starts typing for few secs
ME: saying my hail mary

VO: So i'll be approving your visa, pick up at isolo....you will be needing your I20 at the POE
ME: Thank you Sir

That was it oooo. I must say some few things which is not quite different from what people have said in the past.
Prayer works: persistent prayer and fasting. specifically i prayed for a short and interactive interview without requesting any document.(my mum had a novena for me i also did my private prayers)
There is nothing there please just read about your school and know it. Please don't cram(i realized i was cramming last night when my sis gave me a mock interview- said i was just talking fast. i had to sit back and see meaning into everything i had to say then speak calmly and confidently)
Finally, pray again.
May God perfect his what He has started in our lives Amen!!!

congrat
please GVSU did u mean Grand valley state University, I also intend to apply to the school, please can you tell me your profile, including your Nigeria CGPA

He demanded for her financial statement, showed him and he approved my application. I'd love to thank everyone on this thread for making things easy. Everything you need to succeed at the embassy is present here. My piece of advice to hopefuls is that; settle everything mentally. Be prayerful and remember the Consulate officers are humans; eliminate all forms of fear. seeker88 and chrisdavinci during ..thanks for helping me out during my application. Thanks all
