Yeah Yeah Yeah just like OSUN had the largest GDP and doesn't need oil money until allocation reduced and the truth of una loud mouthing was exposed. Considering that your brethren is the leader of the statistics aspect of the government, I don't believe one single sh1t that emits from there known the level of propaganda that hails from you lots.

Like I said, if you lots believed the crap you rant, your people would have long supported the call to rent the oil companies HQ back to SS in addition wouldn't try to disrupt each company that did try to return their HQ to the state they drill from. Instead narrating of Canada, Brazil, etc did, we want to see it done here in Niggeria.

You are ignorant .
I won't even bother to start with you because it is obvious that you do not know how societies work .
Osun on it's own can fend for herself on consumption taxes alone. This is before we talk about natural resources or potentials .

Lagos takes more federal government resources then all of northern Nigeria and enjoys Government monopoly more than Dangote.

All oil companies have their headquarters situated in Lagos robbing the host communities of taxes and employment indirectly

By closing all sea ports and allowing only Lagos as the only direct international sea port as gateway all import and export by sea Lagos is enjoying federal government's illegal monopoly when Port harcourt, Warri, etc can also serve as international water gateway. This has made Lagos the sole recipient of international taxes of thousands of Multinationals and other import duties who have set up shop there due to logistics of seaport proximity.

Other states bounding the Atlantic should have a functioning sea port. This has led to corruption and congestion in Lagos ports and high price of imported goods like cars...

So it's no longer oil but seaport monopoly. Let me ask you a question, Port Harcourt, Warri, don't they have governors, senators and representatives in government? I could count at least 10 billionaires from that region, why can't they work together with the government to reopen the seaport? Forget about Buhari, why wasn't this done when GEJ was in power? As long as people like Asari are considered champions of the Niger Delta, the Niger Delta people will continue to suffer because it is clear he is only fighting for his own pockets!

USA is the most indebted country in the world after which China follows yet they are the strongest economies in the world.

Owing debt is not the issue but when you have enough collateral to cover up in case of emergency yet sustainable and also enough liquidity to offset the debt within a particular period, then we can say such economy has high liquidity ratio just like lagos.

The major concern should be region with high debt but no resources/collateral/liquids to service their debts within a stipulated period.

FYI, tax/revenue from sea ports in Lagos is accrued to FG account and if restructuring occurs, we know these revenue will go to Lagos purse. So tell me how Lagos without oil won't survive. This alone is just one of few examples to clarify the fact that lagos is a different league on its own.

Oh! Have u heard of the ongoing construction of Eko Atlantic/Smart cities, refinery, monorail and other gigantic projects which will enrich the tourism/industrial/commercial benefits of the state?

You have time to bother to explain .
I doubt most of them can get their heads around your detailed explanation even though many of them have degrees in business, accounting and economics related qualifications

Lagos prospered before the discovery of oil and before the birth of his grandpa. Lagos would still continue to prosper when oil dries up in less than 30 years. Lagos greatest asset is its diversity just like Newyork, Johannesburg, London e.t.c

Lagos diversity?

But Yoruba calls non-Yorubas living in Lagos "strangers," and Yoruba "hosts." That's the most strange and backward phenomenon among Yorubas. Even the most educated Yorubas elites are in this.
No English man can call a Scottish or Welshman living in London a "stranger" and English as "hosts."

Patch up your leaking emotions: All Nigerians are suffering the lack of seaports in other states that bound the Atlantic. The car you bought at whatever price is as a result of the high duties charged in Lagos because it is the only international seaport in the country.

And what has private hands got to do with opening of government agencies? Warri, port harcourt ports were all functional in the early 80s before it became just a junkyard.

Afonja greatest problem in Nigeria is that Afonja is nearly equally divided between the Muslim and non-Muslim groups. The Muslim Afonja group can hardly have any other country out of Nigeria without Arewa Muslims. The non-Muslim Afonjas who understand that one Nigeria is a stumbling block to development in Yorubaland can't do much.
At best, both Afonja groups blackmail Igbos to stop agitation for Biafra, because Igbos are a balancing factor in the SW. But Arewa has neatly carved its sharia country in the 12 northern states.

Well Mr asari, if you say so. My opinion is when you create an enabling environment, that itself is self sustainability. Where most states have failed,is where Lagos is succeeding. calabar and lokoja were once our capitals..as Abuja is, yet none beats Lagos. Lagos is technically 'no man's land' But still Yoruba land. Lagos will continue to attract companies and people from all walks of life. I dare say no other state creates the environment and opportunities Lagos gives to it's inhabitants.

Haba! You don't need billions to have an investment in Lagos. Who told you that? shocked And I was making enquiries about their proposed immigration policy, in case their republic becomes a reality. I would really hate to get my business holdings, commercial transactions and investments, trapped in that region without getting clear cut guidelines as to what would happen, if their nation comes to fruition. That is what a wise man does, so that he is not caught napping at the last minute. wink

It is you and your brethren that clamour for a separate homeland, without addressing the fall out, or the consequences that may arise after it is granted. Some of us have learnt from the folly of your people in Port-harcourt after the civil war, when their buildings were declared abandoned properties. Even now, they have not sat down to think things through, about what fate would befall their commercial investments in Nigeria, after they pull out. Isn't that the height of shamelessness?

Oya, sit down here beside me. I have a favour to ask you. Continue chasing me all over NL and keep making me popular! cool Daalu zi!

It is a myth .
There was a port in warri .
Those ports used to export produce to Europe , Asia and America under the western region . They collapsed not too long after the Midwest was created . The ports still exist but where is the produce to export .
The carefully conserved forest reserves in Sapele was completely chopped-down, turning it from a boom town under the western region to the derelict it is today .

It failed because of people like him.

That's a well known f2king fact.
Why do you think they destroy every attempt by any oil companies HQ that makes plan to move back to SS.

Lagos to me is the biggest leeches. If yoruba so believe that they solely made what it is as they claim, why is that rest of SW looks like a piece of sh1t whom the government have to treat like an IDP camp.

Let's test a theory, let every oil company HQ migrate back to wherever they drill their oil from. Close down every non yoruba companies in SW and have them return back to each region they hail from, then let's wait and see the progress of Lagos.

Shut the effing up. I have explained this many times but you dump afonjas don't get. There is what we call systematic marginalization. There is a reason why Dangote gets help from government and Ibeto doesn't, despite Ibeto having more business acumen and success than him. Ibeto was already a millionaire in the 70s with powerful business structure when Dangote was still borrowing money from his uncle. Dangote can go to CBN and get $million worth of exchange rate, but Ibeto can't. And when Ibeto sources his exchange rate from outside of the country to import his raw materials, that Dangote also imports, his goods are seized at the ports; that he must explain how he got his exchange rates. But Ibeto say to them: I came to you for exchange rate, you refused to give me. So what do you want me to do? You give to Dangote, MRS, Rabiu, Dantata, Chanchangi, Otedola, OANDO exchange rate, but you will not give to Ugochukwu, Ifeanyi Ubah, Ibeto, e.t.c. You see my point Afonja?

There is somebody in UK, telling Nigerian government don't you dare open Port Harcourt, Calabar, Onitsha and Warri ports. There is nothing Governors and senators can do. It's is called systematic marginalization. Done on purpose to keep SE and SS in One Nigeria...make them dependent on One Nigeria to continue One Nigeria. I had to take several hours to explain this to a yorubaa friend before he gets it, before he didn't understand just like you can't understand. Everything you see happening in Nigeria today is BY DESIGN BY BRITAIN to continue to maintain One Nigeria for their benefit. Any day they will open Port Harcourt, Onne, Calabar, Warri and Ontisha ports, mark my words...within One yr, SE and SS will be calling for separation; because they have all they need to be successful. But now, they are dependent on Lagos ports, even airports for their travel and goods, so this is what is still preventing some SE and SS to support the secession. Britain want it so by design. Have you learned something today?
