Have you spoken with him privately?

He is not picking his calls since morning

fibonacci2526:

Oga please calm down, he will respond ASAP.

He might be busy and all.

I am also busy in my office. One can never be too busy to send an SMS or reply WhatsApp especially when it's for a paid service.
I would have been calm if I wasn't leaving town tomorrow. This was the reason I wanted him to get it for me quickly.

If not I would have used my payooner to buy from AliExpress and wait one month or more

I hear you but there are situations that you might hardly have the time to check your phone. He will be in touch soon.

there may be a hitch somewhere, which I believe he is trying to put together...

Protein0, please good communication approach is a key to good business....

Thank you sir, if there is a hitch I think I should be informed but he just left me in the dark like I'm begging for a favour.

Approach
when 4 days delivery turn 7 days and I am supposed to travel out of town tomorrow morning and seller doesnt seem it fit to communicate.

Yea give me a better approach

Even aliexpress have their own logistics delay. Since you have called him and he didn't respond, the best approach will be to wait till he returns your call.

We do not know the full story. So don't expect anyone to take sides yet.

You have over 100% reasons to be displeased, but as others have said, please calm down, it's something that must have caused a delay somewhere, though shouldn't have left you in the dark.

I still feel it is very unfair for you to call him out like that. This is the person that has and still conducting legit biz.

So many ways that this matter would/could have been resolved.

playing devils advocate here: its easy to be calm for someone you know, and if you dont hv a deadline, 4days stretching to 7days , first time dealing with him, no naah
-- a simple sentence on sms or whatsapp wud hv calmed the situation. the customer is KING, nigerians need to grasp this simple fact.

am guessing he brought it here so that insiders/pals wud reach out to him to do the needful, since he cant communicate with seller anymore, and as he is leaving town 2moro, its critical he gets the device today

Am not disputing that but the way he called him out as if he has taken off with his money is totally wrong IMO.

Do you think there hasn't been contact between both parties since the "7 days"?

I like people saying things the way they are, he might not be readily available to reply his calls or messages but it doesn't mean he has absconded. I mean we have all had those situations where we have not been able to look at our phones for 18-20hrs.

Whatever happens to benefit of doubt

went and reread scarr's earlier post, no where did he imply that he thinks the seller has run away with his money--he is just worried/displeased about the seller not sticking to agreed timeframe n not keeping him in the loop.

a simple sms- sry dude, customs delayed ur item..u will get it so n so day etc..wud hv been best.
anyway..hope seller is even in good health...this one we r here splitting hair

NAUGOTIREDRAG:

Communication is key agreed. How would he get the device today, if its still on the high sea's?

so y keep the buyer in the dark, y not sms/whatsapp 1-2-3 days ago...so buyer would be aware and replan accordingly

I didnt call him out because i hate him but this is probably the worse transaction i have done on NL. This is the second phone i have purchased on this thread (Check pages 50 and below) so i am no novice. Before payment he was nice and all, the moment i made payment, goal post change. whenever i chat him up on whatsapp, his response is always "Yes?" like i am begging him for money.
Such behavior is not of someone who wants to carry out legit biz, its better people know what they are getting into before they do.
