If I marry in court that inserts a divorce clause in my marriage and my spouse later choose to divorce me, has my spouse committed a crime in invoking the divorce clause inherent in the contract? Has he violated God's law in doing so even when he didn't marry under God's demand for perpetual fidelity?.
Only if you can satisfactorily answer my questions can you then argue with me how all marriage is same before God. Remember, God himself respects contract clauses. Jesus told a parable of a vine owner who hired different labourers at different times of the day but paid them all the same wage. Marriage is a legal contract in the eye of the law.
As Christians, for us marriage is a spiritual contract ratified by the originator of families and marriages.
Regardless of where you are joined, the status of God is clear. No divorce.
He/she that marries one that has been put off commits adultery.
Why come before 'men of God' to ratify adultery.
Man with many wives before conversion, before God, he's only Married to the first .
