JERRYPOPINS: It's true that he's targeting Asians, but it's really unwise of him to do so because China comes in at 11th position of US steel imports! Right now, Canada is the largest exporter of steel to Americans, closely followed by Mexico, Brazil, and the EU. Canada could retaliate by imposing tarrifts on soybeans and US is currently the largest exporter of soybeans to Canada. Guess what happens then? Soybean farmers lose their jobs. Companies like Ford and General Motors would lose too because they use a large percentage of imported steel. What America should do instead is step up their game and shop making shi**y steel! Maybe at that time US industries can start patronizing them. Anyhow sha, this is not a wise decision by Trump and I hope the tariff doesn't become law. |

Hello peeps! Hope y'all have a wonderful day in spite of the rain and dreariness. Congratulations to all who have just got their admissions in hand, and best of luck to all having their interviews later tonight. My date with destiny at the German consulate next month fast approaches. However, there are many issues regarding filling the application form and the interview in general that are still unclear to me. I'll briefly state them below, and would appreciate helpful responses from those who have gone this path before or those very informed about this process. First of, and most pertinent, is this confirmation of blocked account matter. Is it ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY to have the required funds in the account BEFORE the interview, or is it only AFTER the interview is done and one is asked to make the transfer? I no' sure say my money go complete before the date. Second, I'm looking at my birth certificate right now but it's waaaaaay older than 1992. Is it valid for the interview or do I go swear an affidavit at the court? Third, the form requests for my means of subsistence. Do I simply fill in... funds from blocked account, or is there more to it? Fourth, it asks for Residence permit no. I suppose I'll simply ignore since I never ever go there before? Finally, is there anyone at HS Rhein-Waal here, or can anyone connect me with someone at the school already. I hear accommodation can be difficult to come by, which implies one has to start the search for a decent and affordable place months in advance. Looking forward to your helpful responses/suggestions. Thank you! |

Please I av 2 questions to ask 1) the Skype interview,is it conducted by the embassy or school? If school, why is it conducted after admission has been given and wat if someone fails, does it mean the admission would be withheld? 2) the blocked account,is it just the confirmation that is needed before one goes to the embassy or does it already have to be funded? Gurus pls come to my aid. Thanks |

femmoy:1. If it's the visa interview you're referring to, then it is conducted by the embassy, and No it doesn't affect your admission. 2.You can go with the confirmation slip or blocked account details (dedepending on the bank you use) for the interview and fund afterwards. |
Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by hadassaheke(f): 6:00pm On Jul 05, 2017 |
SleekAB:Nope, it's not. You can go with the blocked account opening slip or the details(depending on the bank you used) for the visa interview and fund afterwards. It isn't compulsory to fund before your interview. For the birth certificate.... Save yourself the stress and get an affidavit if the one you have isn't from NPC 1 Like |

Raemond:I may not be totally correct but think you may be talking about Pharmacy related programs, say Pharmaceuticals/chemistry/Engineering! Bachelor level Pharmacy in Germany is one of the courses under state regulation. And these course are almost exclusively taught in German. Good luck to him nevertheless. 1 Like |

I just got done with my interview. Remember I said it was at 8:30PM? Well I was just casually lying down on my bed at 6:10PM when I decided to check what time it is in Frankfurt. I saw that it was 7:10pm. I did a double take and it still said 7:30. That was when I realized I had miscalculated our time zone. I thought we were ahead of them and never bothered to confirm, not knowing we were actually behind them by an hour. So I thought it would start at 8:30 Gosh, I went into a tantrum because there was no light and my dad wasn't home, and I never even baff sef! Had to take a bath and get ready hoping my dad shows up. Luckily, he got home at 6:20PM and was able to put on the gen for me and I was ready at exactly 6:30PM. The interview didn't last more than 20 minutes in total. They asked me about the article and my thoughts on it, why I chose ESB, and gave me behavioral questions and asked what I would do in the scenarios they mentioned. Lastly, they asked me if I had any questions for them. Then they said "we look forward to having you here at ESB Business School" In my head I was like "na so, this one you people don dey ask for tuition" As if they knew what I was thinking they said "are you aware that they might be tuition fees introduced this coming semester?" I was like yeah I know. Then he was like "I'm not so sure it will be implemented though. Nothing is certain yet. It might be and it might not be implemented" I was a bit surprised because I thought they had passed it and it had become law. If there's no tuition it makes my choice hard because I REALLY like the IB program at ESB, but because of tuition and prestige I decided to go with TUM. JERRYPOPINS: 4 Likes |
