Are all kinds of ATM cards accepted? am using Visa

Go to quickteller.com and use the code generated for the flight to make your payment but it seems you will have to register and have an account with quickteller before make the payment but not sure again[/quote]

VO: Who is funding ur schooling? In the U.S

Me: Am funding it myself have saved a whole lots for this I got a 2.2million naira from 7up last year and before I came for this interview I got another 2.0 million contract from 7up. She now responded u are so successful in ur business

VO: who will be handling ur business ?

Me: My wife

I think you have done pretty well with your interview but the VO might be expecting more from you on those two questions above.

Firstly, the VO is almost impressed with your response to funding but might as well observed that your savings might be insufficient to see you through your education and other expenses to be incurred.

Secondly, the VO's greater displeasure might have been your response to who will be handling your business which you sharply answered your 'Wife'. Who is your wife? How can we relate your wife to your prosperous fashion business? What has she done to help this business? What has been her input on this business and what will she bring to the table in other to savage this young business from collapsing while you're away so that you won't have to start all over again? I think your response to this question left the VO with many questions on the future of your already flourishing business.

Conclusively, I think you should reapply again and look for point winning responses to questions of this format. More so, do realise that not all questions require sharp answers and that some require you to give sound and convincing explanations to your choice of answers. May almighty God grant your desire in no distant time.

LONG POST ALERT: MY VISA TRANSCRIPT
SEASON 1: The first time I visited this thread I was overwhelmed with the information overload in fact I didn't know where to start but soon decided to download the app and talk to someone to help with Mock interview as my interview was for Wednesday, July 5.

By Sunday morning July 2nd, I was hit with terrible malaria that I couldn't talk or move but by Tuesday it was better leaving me with big sores on my mouth.
Naso I found my way to Lasgidi and I called Walspring who pointedly told me I don't need a mock it's nit necessary and that he doesn't even help people with that, I said thank you jejely and moved on to Lagosismyhome, the madam just tell me say I dey do last minute rush say she no get my time and she was truly busy but not relenting Mr John sent me Texrem number and I called him.

Fiam! I knew I hit my jackpot immediately we spoke because he gave me on the spot interview and we began the journey. I called him about six different times, he would correct and I will re-practice over again, don't forget he stays abroad it was international call so I was blowing money in fact I had to just load call credit from my bank account. Till 4am, we were on it, sometimes he would deny me visa due to my performance and at times he would give me but all these sharpened me.

SEASON TWO: I left for the embassy and the powers that be ensured I lost my way after 3rd mainland bridge, uhmmm even Google Map no gree help, network run Comot and I had to be asking for directions for a road I know so well, cut it short it took me one hour to get to Walter Carrington. The official told me I was late angrily but I apologized and he later left me, it was raining and the tension was making me go to the rest room every ten minutes. I eventually did the normal routine check and finally entered for interview proper.

SEASON THREE: I was directed to the bulky Asian man at WINDOW 1. (The guy face strong no even smile atall)

VO: GOOD MORNING
ME: Good morning sir

VO: Pass me your passport. (I gave him). Why are you going to the US?
ME: I will be travelling to pursue my masters degree in Communication studies at Tarleton State University, Texas.

VO: Give me your I-20? (I gave him)

VO: Why did you choose the school?
ME: Asides from the fact that I will be recieving as a plus to my degree, a dual certificate in Organizational comm and Computer Mediated Communications, the program infuses a blend of modern and traditional methods of comm. (cuts me short).

VO: A lot of schools offers this same course in the US why are you picking this school.
(Truth is I just told him some jargons I can't remember. Then He looked at me like "e be like say this girl dey craze" and then he lost his cool).
I said why are you choosing a small school in the middle of nowhere in the US for your program? (and he looked straight into my eyes, I felt like disappearing but braced up).

ME: I want to become an Internal Communication specialist and media analyst for Multinational corporations and I have been working with Dr Jennifer Edwards from the university who is the Executive director of Texas Social Media Research Institute on a paper (he smiled and cuts me)
VO: Who will be sponsoring your trip?
ME: My aunt she owns chains of petrol and gas stations scattered all over Nigeria.

VO: Have you ever traveled out of the country before?
ME: No.

(He looked at the two papers looked at my face and just turned his face to his computer picked one paper without turning and he turned back and saw it was the white one, he gave me and told me to come get my visa blablabla, I didn't even hear the rest as I quickly grabbed the white paper and slipped out of the door before he changed his mind, you know you really can't rely on China tins ). JUST LIKE THAT, OLOWOGBOGBORO stretched forth my my white paper to me and that's how I got my visa!!! He never finish o!

SEASON FOUR: I want to specially thank everyone on this thread who has ever answered any question, God bless you. I don't feel bad about those that couldn't help me, an adage says "To catch a monkey, you need to climb the the tree" so I just take it as one life experiences. Vinci500, and Mr John thanks big time. Texrem, I throway salute for you, for the sacrifice of your holiday time and all God bless you big, and I need to go and fight MTN they were just slashing my credit anyhow. Please If you are waiting for interview, pray for favour and be bold but practice remember "Faith without works is dead". In all I give the ultimate thanks to God who favoured me all through.

Watch out for Season5 titled, "You will Share Your Own Transcript"! can I hear an Ameeeeen!

A big congrats you you dearie.

The best thing to do is buy a wac scratch card and send to the school with a copy of your printed result. That's all they need... next!

Not all banks. UBA and access bank gives PTA to students with a one way ticket.

cmbagwu:
Banks don't give BTA and PTA unless you have a return ticket. Since yours is a student visa and a one way ticket.. you may have to look else where. You can meet with BTC to buy dollar from them.

What branch? Because I just left a UBA branch close to me and they said they only give PTA to students/anyone with a return ticket.

At the port of arrival, tell her to be ready to say why she came in so quick. I am sure her school want international students to do orientation. That is a good point. Other than that, tell her to call a school official the day she is leaving Nigeria and inform them of her schedule, and she should tell the official to be available to speak on her behalf in case the immigration officer choose to confirm her point for coming in earlier. Do things with confidence, but follow the rules. Safe journey to her.
Fortunate4real:

A female-friend of mine booked her flight for the same earliest travel date(July 23) on her i20, , her school resumes on August 22 (orientation)
is she safe or she should reschedule her flight.
i told her not to worry that she is covered but she insisted to hear from Nairalanders.
( she planned to resume that early; to learn some skills needed for her program organised in the school holding on the 26th of July, to sort out accommodation and other things)

its over to you sirs/ma. should she cancel her flight and fixed another date

It's ok bro my own panic sef pass this one that time. Start date on my i20 was August 10, although, orientation and registration date wasn't until Aug 22 or so. I travelled July 13 and arrived July 14 or there about, and my POE was just like say I just waka enter. U shld b fine. The koko is make sure the day you are entering the USA and the start date on your i20 is not more than 30 days... But I made sure I called the grad cord and also emailed her about my schedule and where I would be at a certain period, not sure they called her but I think your friend shld do that too...Safe travels!

Too quick is coming in before it's 30 days before resumption. Lots of people travel 28,29 days before resumption-there's no need to make people panic unnecessarily.

There is nothing as too quick in this case, stop making people feel unnecessary tension. She doesn't need to call anybody, POE is not war front.
