Does my son need an I 20 and sevis form as dependant

Every information you need is on the internet ...... and that a quick search

F-2 dependent family members are not required to pay Sevis fee.

where your children born in the US ........ If No , then yes they need a passport , I20 and a DS 160 form filled .

cry Abuja was hell of a place this morning, according to a friend who's interview was scheduled for 7:30am. Status: Visa delayed. Vo: Why are you going to US me: I'm going for BSc in kinesiology and exercise science in NAU flagstaff and will be majoring in exercise science which will take duration of 4rys to be completed. Vo : what's your father's work me: he owns sawmill and he's into timber exportation vo: what's your age me: ** vo: you're not qualified for visa. Pls my people, my observation: I think interview should go far beyond this before issuing blue form. And according to what my friend told me, he said it was only one white man attending to them, and he was just denying everybody,he denied 4 people before him. Pls your ideas and suggestions are needed.

What does your friend plan to do with the degree after graduation..

All praises and thanks be to Allah Visa approved this morning at windows 1 by the young bespectacled female VO. The interview lasted for less than a minute and I was only asked three questions

The crowd was mammoth and blue papers were mostly dished out. Although I think the process was fair and those that were denied were given time to make their case. I am not accusing anyone, but those that are delayed don't seem to post the full transcript. Denial interviews usually last longer than I read here.

On to my interview, the VO approved the two visiting visa to two middle aged men before and I have to say their response made sense. Pronto it was my turn and the following ensued ;
VO: Good Morning
Time2smile :Good morning ma'am, how are you doing? (She didn't reply me)
VO; Pass me your documents. ( I complied while she scanned my passport and studied my I 20)
VO: You are going for a PhD, what research would you be working on?
Time2smile: I would be working on Neurodegenration research. The department has an ongoing collaboration with the School of Behavioral and Brain Science on the molecular mechanism underlying neuro degenerative diseases such as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's diseases. (She wasn't looking at me but was typing and nodding so I continued) We would be using various molecular biology tools such as Real PCR, Next generation DNA sequencing, Micro array analysis to look for genes expressed in Alzheimer's disease but not in healthy individuals (I actually said all this but not as smoothly as it reads, by now I had her full attention).
VO: Good, why did you choose University of Texas?
Time2smile: Actually one of the the reasons is because of the research interest. Also, the university has high diversity with high number of international students and has great support for international students and........ hmm there is another reason(actually forgot and was thinking) ..... yes I was given funding.
VO: You funding is it through a scholarship or fellowship
Time2smile; I am awarded a graduate tuition scholarship that covers my tuition, I would also work as a graduate teaching assistant. I would be assisting to teach courses, invigilate exams, conduct tutorials and hold office hours.
She picked a white paper, returned my I 20 and sevis, and said Your visa has been approved pick up your passport in few days. She no circle location of.
Time2smile; Thank you and have a nice day.

I would like to appreciate everyone's who has contributed positively to this thread in one way or the other. I have really gained immensely. The resident gurus continue the good works, (I hope I would also become a guru here in good time). My e family from the GRE thread, I am grateful for all your support and advice.

NB ; I am sorry for any error, I am typing on a spoilt phone in Lagos traffic. I would edit later and other gists day ooo.

NMHU is not xyz, it's a short form of d school name....And for the records I searched for it online despit I stated it was recommend by my lecturer.....if you type NHMU university in google it will pop up the name of the university. I don't have to exchange words with u coz I believe everybody has got a stage to get to before behaving maturly.... Next time ask questions before u jump into conclusions
What you are saying at Bold doesn"t make any sense. Besides how does XYZ the short form for NMHU? we have talked about these XYZ of a thing and BalalaBlala answer. it's just so annoying! but if you guys need help from the thread, you will type your question in full even some people will bold their questions just to get quick response to the question and when it comes to sharing of transcript giving back to the thread you will starting seeing XZY and BlalalaBlalala answer. look, let me tell you, there is nothing new in these world especially visa stuff, you are not the first person to get admission to that school you are hiding neither are you the first person to work in that company, so hiding names doesn't make any sense because no body will stop you from travelling or steal the name of that company you work for, Abeg Nigerians biko lets grow up and drop these low backward mentality. I rest my case ooo. Shalom!

I used IERF for evaluation. It took about 2weeks to complete and send it to my school. But it takes more than a month for the student to get a copy of the evaluation(I'm yet to get mine).. Its around $160-200 (I've forgotten the exact amount).
And I don't know if its similar to WES because I've never used WES.

Hello Fellas,

I urgently need to make SEVIS payment, I have reached Oludare1 but he couldn't help at the moment.
The only option at hand is, www.mysevisfee.com .
I need your comment about the platform or suggestion to use another means for the payment.

I will be glad to get quick response.
Thank you.

please gurus in the house, I kinda need your help and clarification badly.

My issue is, I once complained about the fact that my DS-160 has some missing question such as departure date from US, TRAVEL HISTORY, UNIVERSITY EDUCATION, LANGUAGES.... I was able to find out that this were missing in my own cos a friend of mine who we are both going to same school has those question in his own.

Walspring adviced i use another browser or prolly fill another DS 160 form since I havent submitted. So after much attempt i filled another DS-160 form but still same issue and eventually i submitted like that. It was afterwards I knew i was suppose to pay my visa fees before filling the DS 160 form.

Please my question is can it be because I didnt pay my visa fees initially before filling the DS-160 form was the reason for those missing questions? Now that I have submitted, I know i cannot do anythig about it again. However can the gurus in the house please advise me on the next step I can take to remedy the mistake. I am thinking of making payment tomorrow. Please can I be advised accordingly?

Thanks in anticipation of your response
