hopefulLandlord:Answering Yes or No isn't the problem Mr. Your inability to comprehend the simplest of things is the real problem. |

spacetacular:your inability to answer Yes/No is the real problem here inability to answer the simplest of questions Q:Are you a Surgeon? Spacetacular: Yes, I am Q: is it possible for Jesus to come back today? Spacetacular: *Starts sermon* |

hopefulLandlord:It's not an offence is it if I actually wish to help jump start your thinking process? If you could not know that the tech which enables all to see a singular event at the same time has been existing for 55 years and you actually make use of the same tech when watching football or basketball or world news or whatever else you enjoy watching beats my imagination and it made it absolutely necessary for me to give you a jump start. Have you been asleep all this while not to see and comprehend these things? IF PHYSICAL THINGS CANNOT BE SEEN AND COMPREHENDED BY YOU EVEN WHEN YOU PERSONALLY MAKE USE OF THEM EVERY DAY THEN IS IT SPIRITUAL THINGS YOU WOULD RECOGNISE? you do need a jump start. |

spacetacular:this is still sermon maddam the question is still, is it possible for Jesus to come back today? stop this rigmarole and pontifications, its a very simple question |
| Re: Deism- The Last Refuge For A Dubious Religious Apologist by spacetacular(f): 9:54am On Jul 14, 2017 |
hopefulLandlord:Is it possible for him to be seen by everybody using today's tech? Even Jesus never gave straight answers always. He expected his listeners to carry out some actual thinking. |

hopefulLandlord:Classic case of "Question Dodging". Fallacies abound! |
| Re: Deism- The Last Refuge For A Dubious Religious Apologist by hopefulLandlord: 9:59am On Jul 14, 2017 |
spacetacular:its not possible for everyone to see the same thing today cuz not everyone has access to "today's tech" now answer my own question, is it possible for your Jesus to come back today? yes/no? |
| Re: Deism- The Last Refuge For A Dubious Religious Apologist by spacetacular(f): 10:04am On Jul 14, 2017 |
hopefulLandlord:Here he goes again! EVERYONE ALREADY HAS ACCESS TO THIS TECH! AND I MEAN EVERYONE. Your local television stations are already satellite equipped and simply need to HOOK UP (piggy back). live streaming is now available FOR FREE! even in the most remote hamlets all they need is a television even if it's the old school television and they would see EVERYTHING WITH EVERYONE ELSE WORLDWIDE! If you can accurately answer this question of mine after actually applying some deep thought then the answer you want from me would be already with you. Note: my focus is on your THINKING. |
| Re: Deism- The Last Refuge For A Dubious Religious Apologist by hopefulLandlord: 10:09am On Jul 14, 2017 |
spacetacular:please, stop dodging and keep the sermons at bay, the these guys don't have any such access and I can bet my left nut that they won't have the access to any "today's technology" by the end of today now answer the question and stop this rigmarole, is it possible for your Jesus to come back today? yes/no? |
| Re: Deism- The Last Refuge For A Dubious Religious Apologist by spacetacular(f): 10:16am On Jul 14, 2017 |
hopefulLandlord:Do you even THINK? The sentinelese are said to be the LAST tribe with no external influence. For them to be the last that means there were others before them who were just like them yet EVENTUALLY got externally influenced. Time brings change eventually. By the way you are free to read this http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/islanders-running-out-of-isolation-tim-mcgirk-in-the-andaman-islands-reports-on-the-fate-of-the-1477566.html |

| Re: Deism- The Last Refuge For A Dubious Religious Apologist by hopefulLandlord: 10:20am On Jul 14, 2017 |
spacetacular:no one is denying they won't have access sometime in the future, maybe months/years down the line but the question is about "today" and they won't have access TODAY I've answered your questions enough, you've twisted and turned enough now, answer the question and stop this rigmarole, is it possible for your Jesus to come back today? yes/no? |
| Re: Deism- The Last Refuge For A Dubious Religious Apologist by spacetacular(f): 10:23am On Jul 14, 2017 |
hopefulLandlord:And when did I say anything about TODAY? you were the only one HARPING on today. That news report proves that EVENTUALLY all would be able to see a singular event in time. Now are you actually thinking deep enough to draw an inference from this regarding your question? |
| Re: Deism- The Last Refuge For A Dubious Religious Apologist by hopefulLandlord: 10:27am On Jul 14, 2017 |
spacetacular:the question is about today, I haven't changed one single text from the question is it possible for your Jesus to come back today? yes/no? you're just pretending to have answered the question while trying to browbeat a simple question has given rise to 2 pages of preaching, twisting, pontificating, rigmarole, sermons etc and the answer is still not given is it possible for your Jesus to come back today? yes/no? |

| Re: Deism- The Last Refuge For A Dubious Religious Apologist by spacetacular(f): 10:32am On Jul 14, 2017 |
hopefulLandlord:Why the focus in TODAY? Can you show me where you read TODAY anywhere? Or does my opinion about WHEN his return will be make me the owner of time? |
| Re: Deism- The Last Refuge For A Dubious Religious Apologist by hopefulLandlord: 10:34am On Jul 14, 2017 |
spacetacular:Still no answer given............. another round of sermon |
| Re: Deism- The Last Refuge For A Dubious Religious Apologist by spacetacular(f): 10:35am On Jul 14, 2017 |
CatfishBilly:Again this is proof of how callow you guys reason. Since people are searching for these lost tribes and already have some documentation on them, how did they arrive at these documentation if they had not contacted them or at least tried and are still trying. As long as their are lost tribes out there and people are interested in them, CONTACT WILL BE MADE (if not immediately, EVENTUALLY) CHANGE THEY SAY IS THE ONLY THING THAT IS CONSTANT! Am I wrong? You lot are way too easy! |
| Re: Deism- The Last Refuge For A Dubious Religious Apologist by spacetacular(f): 10:36am On Jul 14, 2017 |
hopefulLandlord:Why emphasis on today? |
| Re: Deism- The Last Refuge For A Dubious Religious Apologist by hopefulLandlord: 10:39am On Jul 14, 2017 |
spacetacular:still no answer........... |
| Re: Deism- The Last Refuge For A Dubious Religious Apologist by CatfishBilly: 10:39am On Jul 14, 2017 |
spacetacular:They came in contact with them doesn't mean that they'll have access to cable TV next week. And no one denies that they won't be contacted. |
| Re: Deism- The Last Refuge For A Dubious Religious Apologist by spacetacular(f): 10:54am On Jul 14, 2017 |
CatfishBilly:So who put a time frame to when they would have access to a television? Fact is that THEY WOULD ALL (without exception) RECEIVE EXTERNAL INFLUENCE. These "lost" tribes are all found in the middle of already civilised people or countries so how hard would it be for them to receive access to satellite television especially since the radio waves are already available and all they need is a television and a translation device (antenna) |
| Re: Deism- The Last Refuge For A Dubious Religious Apologist by CatfishBilly: 11:05am On Jul 14, 2017 |
spacetacular:Do you know the amount of rehabilitation it would take before they fit in? Society is way more advanced than their wildest imaginations. Some of them actively reject external influence and their governments respect that. So, it's possible that though they've been discovered, they won't be forced to join the larger society, they'll be allowed to continue their hunter gatherer lifestyle so your TV theory won't work. |
| Re: Deism- The Last Refuge For A Dubious Religious Apologist by spacetacular(f): 11:19am On Jul 14, 2017 |
CatfishBilly:So were Africans until civilisation came to them. ![]() They do not need "rehabilitation " they are not animals or imprisoned! All they need is understanding and the rest would be accepted WILLINGLY by them. Change comes faster when people are willing. In the online news report I posted earlier they initially rejected Mr Pandit, the director of the Anthropological Survey of India but he had to patiently learn and observe what they liked and he patiently kept leaving them gifts on the shore until they realised he meant them no harm. Now they accept him and everyone else with him WILLINGLY! Below are further extracts: "Permanent isolation isn't practical,' he said. 'They're surrounded by 200,000 people living in these islands" Another "Mr Pandit recounted in a report: 'Sometimes they would turn their backs to us and sit on their haunches as if to defecate. This was meant to insult us and to say we were not welcome.' Unruffled, the anthropologists kept dropping gifts on the island, and the Sentinelese progressively grew less hostile and more playful. They love coconuts, which do not grow on North Sentinel. Finally, on 4 January 1991, Mr Pandit and his colleagues were met on the beach by a party of 28 men, women and children, for once unarmed. 'They may not have chiefs, but a decision had obviously been taken by the Sentinelese to be friendly towards us,' Mr Pandit said. 'We still don't know how or why." So my TV theory will work ![]() Don't tell me you still deny the obvious even after that report ![]() Your argument and positing is bland to say the least. |
| Re: Deism- The Last Refuge For A Dubious Religious Apologist by CatfishBilly: 11:39am On Jul 14, 2017 |
spacetacular:So, what you're saying in essence is that Jesus won't come until the whole world knows how to operate a television/have access to a television, have stable electricity supply to power the said television, can afford cable TV to power the said TV, so that they can see him coming down in his glory simultaneously at the same time? Not minding the different time zones? |
| Re: Deism- The Last Refuge For A Dubious Religious Apologist by spacetacular(f): 11:57am On Jul 14, 2017 |
CatfishBilly:I am amazed at how "Nigerian" atheists arrive at their conclusions despite damning evidence being placed before them. You guys really shame the atheist community when It comes to intellect. One of the pioneer projects of TBN (Trinity broadcasting network) is ensuring that remote communities gain access to cable television FOR FREE. Even if it means 10 people have to share one or they have a general viewing centre and they are aggressively pushing it and it's already yielding results. If here in UK we can have free to air cable channels you think they wouldn't have same in other areas of the world? Much Electricity isn't needed to power television sets especially with their low power usage. That is why solar power initiatives are everywhere and targeting the remote settlements. Last time I checked, solar power is stable thanks to solar power forecasts. Time zones shouldn't be your concern when we already have worldwide telephone coverage. I can pick up the phone and call a relative or friend in Antarctica or for the face book addicts, livestream it there and wake them up to view with me even if they are at 2am where they are and I at 7am here. Everything needed to make the process and event seamless and super effective is already available. All you guys now need to do IS SIMPLY THINK. That's all and it shouldn't be as hard as you lot are portraying especially with the lack lustre arguments you keep projecting. |
| Re: Deism- The Last Refuge For A Dubious Religious Apologist by CatfishBilly: 12:15pm On Jul 14, 2017 |
spacetacular:So, you just sit in your home in the UK and make inferences about the most remote communities on planet Earth? ![]() TBN is offering cable TV for free? How many rural communities have they covered? Can you give a percentage? Nigeria doesn't have free cable TV ( that shiiiit is expensive) unless you get it by illegal means and you still pay for it, so I don't see any reason why people living on less than $2 a day would be bothered about cable TV Solar power? You have absolutely no clue. God. I don't even know how to address that point. Phones and Facebook Livestreams for people who can't even afford to eat ![]() Why would Jesus be so dependent on fallible human technology for his second coming? He would be like "I'm coming today" then boom, Niger Delta Avengers vandalize a pipeline and Nigeria is thrown into darkness for a week then Jesus has to postpone his coming back for another week? Do you know how ridiculous you sound? Just stop. |
| Re: Deism- The Last Refuge For A Dubious Religious Apologist by spacetacular(f): 12:27pm On Jul 14, 2017 |
CatfishBilly:No! You stop for not even applying a little thinking ability. Yes I am in the UK and I actually am interested in what goes on in the world so I read A LOT! which is more than I can say for you. So you have no clue at the stability of solar power due to solar power forecasts? How ignorant are you really from a scale of 1 to 10. Your country Nigeria has just began her foray into nuclear power generation and you think they are not interested in diversified and stable power? You are indeed ignorant. Cable is free. Distribution is not! Distribution is dependant also on a digital box or dongle and those are already being supplied FOR FREE to remote locations. Facebook livestreaming isnt for the remote locations (since you do not think) I only put it there so you can see the numerous ways media is being transmitted these days. THINK MAN THINK! By the way those who you say wouldn't be bothered do not need to be forced to have them. As long as the human mind remains inquisitive, one day they would ask a simple question like WHAT IS THAT? When told they would further ask HOW DOES IT WORK? Then they would be shown. Believe me when I say THEY WOULD LOVE IT AND WANT IT ESPECIALLY SINCE ITS SOMETHING THAT FASCINATES THEM! THINK MAN THINK AND THINK SOME MORE?! |

hopefulLandlord:Even in the future, people would not be able to see things at the same time. What if people in space stations? Or people that are in extreme ends of the earth with no signal? |
| Re: Deism- The Last Refuge For A Dubious Religious Apologist by spacetacular(f): 12:44pm On Jul 14, 2017 |
JackBizzle:Dumbo there is already livestreaming in space stations http://www.express.co.uk/news/science/784556/NASA-International-Space-Station-ISS-live-stream-watch-Earth-space/amp Regarding the remote locations I just hit home with that and you still didn't read or comprehend it even if you did read it. I believe you know what LIVE streaming means. |
| Re: Deism- The Last Refuge For A Dubious Religious Apologist by JackBizzle(op): 12:49pm On Jul 14, 2017 |
Dear spectacular clown. You are assuming that the spacecraft is near earth or a space satellite. There are other factors as well. Like being at certain angles from the sun and solar flares. |
| Re: Deism- The Last Refuge For A Dubious Religious Apologist by CatfishBilly: 12:53pm On Jul 14, 2017 |
spacetacular:As usual, the whole point flew over your head. You just created a strawman and attacked it ferociously. This is exhausting. I'll stop now. Thanks for your time. |
