Good morning guys, I'm processing admission for my younger brother, the school required application fee to be paid through credit card only, I need to know if I can make this payment with my naira master card, if yes, which bank is the best to do this with?

You can make dollar payments with your Naira Mastercard. If it's GTBank, you are in luck because they just increased their monthly allowance from $100 to $1000 with naira cards.

GTbank or not, just use any funded Naira Mastercard you have. If application fee is $100 or less, it will likely go through.

Worst case is the payment won't go through and you will know. Just give a try. Nothing to lose.

Happy for all getting their visas approved. Mine is tomorrow at the Lagos consulate. This will be a second trial after a failed attempt in Abuja.
The little problem is I filled in 'no' unknowingly for the question of if I had been denied visa before. Hope it won't count against me. How can I defend myself if it comes up.
Going for a master in theological study. Any tip would do.
Would have posted my transcript but I couldn't log in not until today, but I have been making up by following the thread keenly.

I am guessing you have submitted the DS160 but you would have just said YES.

A man behind me on the day I went got his on the 8th attempt. I do not know that answering yes on that question will affect your current chance. The VOs do ask people to try again so they know people do come back.

Unknowingly? why didn't you correct it after you saw it? Well...the interviewing VO will decide if it's actually little or not.

Good day my travel gurus in this forum. Attended my visa interview at the Abuja embassy today. After the interview, the V. O gave me a yellow paper and held on to my passport and statement of account. She said she needed to verify somethings, and that I will be contacted if more information is needed. On the yellow paper, she wrote "administrative processing " as the reason for holding on to my document. I have logged on to ustraveldocs.com to check my status and it states administrative processing. Please anyone been thru such situations?

Texas State University is actually a good school. I have a friend who just graduated from the school. They give TA and RA but you will need to have convincing reasons why you chose the school.

free74fire:
After carefully researching about schs based on many criteria, one of them is Texas state university, I have not seen anyone here apply to this sch, so I want to ask if this school is safe especially for interview at the embassy because it is one of the schools I am considering.

Also if u school there or applied or u know som1 there, please describe wat its like schooling there.

cc: lagosismyhome, femi, cmbagwu and other gurus.

Good morning house. I got a conditional admission for a master of social work program into a university in the US (pending english proficiency) and the I-20 says i will be enrolling in English language class before registering for my masters degree courses. However, I have taken the Toefel exam already and passed. I will like to know if it is advisable for me to present my Tofel result to the visa officer at my interview or to go ahead and give the impression that i will be taking english class first before starting my masters courses.

Congratulations on your acceptance. You can decide at what point you apply, as long as you have a valid I-20 and have paid your SEVIS fee. However the burden is on you to prove you are a credible student with ties, and your ability to meet your school's basic requirements will factor into this.

This is my transcript in regards to my visa approval on Friday the 14th july. God be praised and i want to appreciate my friends who did the mock interview with me, thise who skimmed through my mock transcript, those who I contacted and said i was gonna call but i never called forgive me as i am guilty as charged.

V.O: why this school
Me: i picked the university of new haven because of it's concentration on biomaterials because its very applicable to our dwindling health condition in Nigeria.
V.O: Can you explain the Biomaterial
Me: This are materials used in replacing human tissues.( then she cuts me)
V.O: I know you came here rehearsed but just explain in normal language I would understand
Me: what i mean is that this are materials that replace the breast, heart valve, limb, hips and knee prostheses.
V.O:How many schools did you apply to
Me: i considered three schools but only applied to this school
V.O: Did you consider any here in Nigeria
Me: Yes i did which was unilag
V.O whats your highest degree
Me: Bachelors in Engineering
V.O when did you finish
Me: 2015
V.O: what have you been doing since then
Me: went for my compulsory nysc in 2016 and finished 2017
V.O: Have you been outside Nigeria before
Me: yes i have been to the Us
V.O: Where did you go to
Me: Jamica queens in New York
V.O Do you have a family outside Nigeria
Me: Yes i do my brother
V.O I see you have a scholarship how did you get it
Me: it was based on my academic transcript and my statement of intent showed my purpose for selecting this course
V.O: who would pay the rest
Me: My dad. He is a medical practitioner
V.O: what of your siblings how many
Me: Just two apart from my brother in the Us
V.O where are they
Me here in lagos with my parents
V.O I would be approving your visa pick it up after 3 days.

I believe so.
My interview went well until the white guy asked for my undergraduate transcript. I told him I didn't come along with it but it was sent to my school in the US.
The guy no gree hear anything else and was like " I see academic transcript here everyday. "
Next is 214b.
Felt really bad.

really, academic transcript is also a must? will it be given back or retained?
