Stanis didn't rule with his heart yet he died, same with Ramsey.. The point I am making is whether you rule with your heart or not doesn't really determine whether you live or die in GOT. But having an edge over death like the Lord of light bringing you back is awesome.

He was only able to be brought back because he has "King's Blood"

You're talking about what people did not what he did.

The recruitment pool in westeros is very shallow, and the leadership cadre is a closed shop. Rather than turn to tried and tested leaders in a meritocratic process, the westerosi continue to follow leaders based on blood ties, no matter how tenuous the link, and no matter how foolish it looks.

That's why lyanna mormont, an 8 year old brat is in power, Why the Umbers and the kaStarks now have prepubescent leaders, and why Gendry another bastard may yet rule in kings landing.

As long you have a drop of the right family's blood, you have a better chance at rulership than the most skilled and most intelligent commoner. Just look at the amount of fools that blindly followed and died for each member of the Baratheon line.

So Jon being appointed king means nothing mate.

Instead tell me why your so called leader and warrior has already been murdered once, and only escaped death a second time due to Baelish's timely intervention.

In the last episode, we could see that his judgement is not fully trusted by the northern elite, but only being followed out of protocol. We could see that Sansa's words struck a chord with the other lords, and Jon felt suitably undermined to mention it.

Bruh I've been saying this for years. Jon is a muppet. If no be say actor no dey die, that dude would have been in a hole somewhere by now

This must be a joke as it is really funny.

Why don't you tell us how Jon snow isn't a good leader because if he wasn't he wouldn't be made lord of the nights watch despite he broke their oath and there was a more experienced night watch candidate than him..Am sure the recruitment pool there is also shallow right? undecided .

As for him being killed, he was never killed in battle rather he was betrayed by someone who felt he deserves to be lord of the night watch. So no big deal. Why? Because he got higher back up above death all thanks to the Lord of light. cool

They serve the Lord of light, thoros of myar (pardon my spelling) they all serve the Lord of light and the Lord of light favours Daenerys and Jon and I think they have a higher purpose. Their purpose is linked with the night king , the hound effin saw a vision grin

Did the Lord of Light tell you he favours Jon and Dany ?

Jon wasn't 'betrayed' by 1 person. He was betrayed by the entire nightswatch except for his small group of 5 or 6 people.

I think at least 5 people actively participated in his murder by plunging their daggers into his body, while the rest of the group passively participated by saying nothing.

The fact that Jon And his group were holed inside that room for 3-4 episodes while the ringleader who also happens to be of noble blood(surprise surprise) prances around castle black unchallenged.

Infact, not only is Alliser unchallenged, but the entire watch comes together under his command to try and fight off the wildlings when they come to rescue Jon.

So don't act like Alliser sneakily killed Jon. Nah bruv, he killed Jon with the full support of the watch, except for the 4 or 5 Jon Snow Dickriders.

Facts only.

Jon's bloodline is what makes him eligible for leadership, not his ability or wisdom - attributes which he has been found lacking on several occasions

Jon Snow is a muppet.

Facts.

Listen to The Hounds speech in this last episode.

Lord of light doesn't choose you because you're inherently special. Jon Snow is definitely nothing special.

Sorry to interrupt Bro;
To me, survival in Game of Throne thus far has been based on luck, strongwill, allies and madness. The strongest and wisest ones don't seem to last, take Kahl Drogo, Mad dawg n his broda, Ned stark(wise and strong) as examples. These men are stronger and wiser than Jon yet they are dead. No one among them can stand Jon in terms of strongwill and I think that's what's keeping the 'bastard' alive. Even Jaime(one of the best swordsman in the series) lost a hand, so it's almost impossible for a strong character in the series not to have lost something. Take it that Jon has lost his weak 'soul' in the process of dying..... dude has conquered death once and he's ready to damn death again. That alone qualifies him as a good king, leader as per Game of Thrones standard.

Most people just want Sansa to be as fierce as Arya, they forget Arya had the best fighting teachers in Westeros and as far as Braavos, Sansa spent her formative years watching cunning people work, manipulate events and play the game of thrones. . . . .it's only fair that her strength should lie beyond holding a sword and slashing throats smiley

Exactly. Arya wouldn't survive in King's Landing the way Sansa did. Sansa is passive aggressive, that is her armor.

Nope. Arya has the potential in the books. She sometimes feels Nymeria leading a pack of bitches and slaughtering animals.

Of course she doesn't know it's Nymeria.

Sansa would have been too but she lost Lady pretty young for there to be any significant development.

As for Rickon and Robb, they probably would have developed that ability with their direwolves if both had lived longer.

Starks have the magic in their blood. They only need to form a bond with their direwolves.

Her character arc is interesting to watch. So is Jaime's who is ever in a constant battle between his better self and the one loyal to his sister.

At this point Jaime has no story of his own, he only serves Cersei's story, like an accessory. This is one change i don't like. She does the exact thing he kills his king for; branding him the Kingslayer title, and he's still attached to her at every turn.

Yes!!!! Arya is short tempered. Sansa can take a whole lot more than Arya could. Especially in King's Landing.

She actually has endured a lot. Probably as much as anyone on the show, if not much more.

The hound is used as a vehicle for the writers to let you the viewer know that beric dondarion is nothing special- he is not holy, not pious, not a great warrior, etc.

Beric himself admits he has no idea why he's been chosen.

That tells you that the Lord of light's choice us not based on merit, thus eliminating your argument that Jon Snow is special.

He's not.

Jon doesn't even believe in the Lord of Light. . . . He was raised with the Old gods and maybe the Seven.
