At times, I feel bad that the market is never ALLOWED to be free in many little ways in a MANIPULATIVE WAY.
Someone wants to OFFLOAD about 17M units of a stock THAT became 'accessible' on bad news and you DELIBERATELY held him back saying you are having technical issues placing orders when IT IS NOT TRUE.
That volume would have satisfied much orders.
God is watching.
shocked Is it OFFload or UPloadhuh Me not understanding ooooo

A TOTAL OF 2,080,104,955 UNITS OF UNITED BANK FOR AFRICA PLC WERE DONE AS AN OFF-MARKET TRADE TODAY 18TH OF JULY 2017 AT N9.47 IN ONE DEAL. THE DEAL WAS A CROSS DEAL BY UNITED CAPITAL SECURITIES LIMITED AS BOTH BUYER AND SELLER.
UBA closed today at N8.80, but the cross deal was done N9.47. The deal was done by United Capital Securities as both buyer and seller.

I remember the argument I had with Davide470 about 2 weeks ago that in a cross deal the price of the transaction could be higher or lower than the price of the security on the floor.

But one would want to ask, why didnt the management buy the share back when uba was selling for N4 or N5 huh huh cool
The price on the floor is not too important in a cross deal, I think this is when they want to conclude the deal.

This why i laugh hard at those that think OANDO will bounce back this time around.

Tell me a right thinking FPI that will put their fund in a company that manipulates their financials.

This another classic case of Bernard Madoff, angry

Bruv, i repeat myself..

Nobody can cross above the trading price in the market WITHOUT WRITING TO THE NSE FOR A WINDOW to effect that trade. The crossing has no impact in the price, it is just the volume that would increase.

Those kind of trades are termed "Off Market Trades"

OANDO – Daily – 07/17/2017 – High 6.81 Low 6.17 Open 6.49 Close 6.81 Volume 1.305m units Chart Description: Smart Money would have decided that the underlying market is now good value, stepped in and bought absorbing the supply as weak holders eventually panicked sold-out regardless of the price offering Smart money the opportunity to acquire holdings at a good price, Which is the indication they are Bullish on the Market. Hence we Can expect a reversal in the down trend. —-Remember if the market is still weak you would expect high volume up bars closing off the highs with the next bar down, upthrusts especially on high volume and no demand. The Fib levels of N6.17 are very strong support levels to watch while short-term exits within the N7.02/N7.50 axis

Good points, In addition, I want to say that the beauty of this forum is the gathering/collection of both positive and negative information from all members, which you can hardly see elsewhere. There are times I see certain information that informs my investment decision in a particular stocks and I have mostly benefitted from it, though not all have been profitable but at least 85% positive.

Please let us cherish each other and avoid making negative comments on personalty.
I can tell you have spoken the minds of millions here. I have learnt a lot i could never have learned anywhere for FREE as it were. The wealths of knowledge many present here are not just theories culled from textbooks but as you will agree with me, from practical experiences.

And from the calibre of analysis, it is easy to tell that here is a forum of the high and the low, financially, knowledge wise and in terms of experience. Lets maintain the positive tempo and always remember the reason for lingering all day long on this thread in particular. And it will be fine to be quick to recognize humour and not to be quick to take offence. Cheers to everyone.

I think that is a nice one from Tony.
Management who have confidence in the future of their companies should not be bothered by the cheap valuation by the market.
If the market value my company at N9 and I know that the company is worth N15, the best thing is to buy back the shares.
abi !
others will soon follow
