LagosismyHome:Hello ma'am. I'd like to ask if it's possible to get my local government of origin certificate at a liaison office in current state where I live. I've never been to my state of origin neither do I understand my dialect and it's very far from where I am. Or is it possible to use my state of origin certificate in Lue of the local government's for my passport application? I've already registered for the GRE, and this frightens me. Thanks in anticipation. |

is it possible for a graduate with bsc economics to get a direct PhD program or Msc/phd ( 5 years) in US, i know of some friends in other field of study who got direct phd for 5 years but i have no knowledge about Economics. please if possible, which of the schools? |

charliejose: Not sure what these local government thing is all about.... what do u need it for . If it to get a passport, i know little of how it done today in Nigeria but i dont recall having to go to my state of origin for anything. No be naija. You should be able to do it anywhere As for GRE . It best to register when you have the actual passport in your hand because you willnot be allowed to write the exam withoutshowing passport |

Wine52: you are expected to pay an application fee for each of the schools you are applying to except if any of the school waive it for all applicant. there is nothing u can do to avoid paying the four application fees. ( based on my knowledge so far) |

Visa approval So I got in...was scared and lost hope because of the blue papers that were been given. Like it was really much, only few white papers. Even the lady that interviewed me was dashing blue paper out like christmas gift - So it got to my turn and she said "pass me your passport and i20". I did - Looked at my i20 and said "why do I want to go to University of New Hampshire". She flipped through my passport - I said, "The school has a highly rated IT program. A program that integrates in class learning with professional and practical learning. It also has a student-faculty ratio of 19:1 which makes it easy for me to access my lecturers" - She just looked at her system with a blank expression and kept quiet. I thought that I messed up. I now said "also... " (she looks at me) "also the curriculum is in line with my current job duties here in Nigeria, the courses they offer include...*i listed them all*....and those are my duties here". - Then she picked up the white paper and said "pick up ur passport in 3day's time at the location in this paper". [My passport is over fresh and blank. I'm going for Masters in Information Technology. The thing dint even last for 2mins] This interview dey sweet me ehh.. I have tapped  When you are asked that first question, nail it and make sure you cover all needed in the short time given. I loved how the guy continued when the VO went quiet. He described what the course will do for him, his job duties and the courses he will take.17 Likes 1 Share |

charliejose: Yes, you can get your local government certificate at your state's liaison office anywhere. I had mine but I didn't take it along with me when I wanted to get a passport so I sharply went to my state's liaison office near by and I got another in less than 2hrs. This one that you don't understand your dialect, na gobe oo. . Just kidding tho. They will ask you a few questions to ensure you're from the state but all those ones na wash, they're just after your money. When you pay, you get it easily.3 Likes 1 Share |
