Afam4eva:Ok,Yoruba are not accommodating, you are just forcing yourselves to reside in dugbe in Ibadan and Amuwo odofin/ojoo in lagos and other parts of the west. Are you now happy? |

verygudbadguy:Bros,I actually dont agree with you on this. ![]() Remember it is only Lagos in the whole South west that experiences this. And it is not about seeing everyone as nigerians. Its about outsiders having a reasonable share of the population there. If you move them to Ikorodu and they still have a large number, its likely that they will still contest and maybe win. Lagos has always been the land with so many opportunities and every body sees here as a place of hope. It maybe be difficult to curb this especially as we still remain Nigeria |

Afam4eva:Boss, why SW are very accommodating are; 1. We don't discriminate when selling our landed properties to other tribes which there are substantial amount of SE peeps into other kind of their business. 2. There are political post in SW states, not just lagos but Ogun, Ondo and Oyo states having igbo in their cabinet. One would say yes because of their business tycoon ideas but other strategic SW peeps can replicate and even do better but because we are open minded/accommodating hence the room to accept them. |

Op pls get ur priority right, when u said Alaba int'l u need to differentiate between electronics, electrical, industrial, japan line with fancy and furniture so u don't deceive the gullibles, because I knew on the said Thursday all this mrkt I mentioned opened for business. So pls stop this ur fake news because Alaba int'l market is too big to close for one local champion election most especially for Mrs Uche ubosi, did she think Alaba people have forgotten all the atrocities her husband did in Alaba int'l when he was the Chairman of electronics section? her party can only win through rigging because I know for sure no Igbo man from Alaba will ever wish her victory. |

Afam4eva:Yes, we are not accommodating, amosun shouldn't have appointed a man from abia state to serve as permanent secretary. . The Ogun state civil service should follow the foot steps of Abia state by sacking igbos in our civil service Ijebu ode Catholic diocese should ensure they don't accept igbo priests in their diocese just like the accommodating people of mbaise who said they don't want a man from anambra state as bishop |

wristbangle:Thanks for reeling it out. Now, do you have any proof that the SW sells more landed properties to outsiders than the SE outside what you hear some people saying that Igbos don't sell lands to outsiders? Have you had a personal experience in this regard? I'm not saying such things don't happen in the SE but i don't see how it's worse or less than what happens in other regions. Igbos cannot be touted for been money hungry and not see the opportunity to sell land to people and make money and not do so because of tribal gibberish. We have to stick with one story about the Igbos. it's either we love money more than life or we don't. Which is it? As far as your second point goes, let's just agree to disagree that you're referring to lagos and not the SW/ if you think otherwise, i'll like you to tell us states that have appointed Igbos in political positions in other SW states. bare in mind that a Yoruba man was in the cabinet of Chimaroake Nnamani at some point. Mind you, i'm not saying Yorubas are not accomodating. I just dont fancy the fact that people throw it around like othe regions are any worse. |

I can see the lamentations of yoruba here.take your fate, thats what happens to you when you stay in your oshogbo cave shouting suffer-sticated without the courage to venture out to explore and exploit the world.lazy ass you, pain is just begining. |

greatiyk4u:Do you expect successful igbo men to publicly associate with Kanu given the present poitical climate in Nigeria? I know a few of them that are running behind the scene in support of the Biafran cause. Nnamdi Kanu and Biafra is interwined you can't seperate one from the other regardless of your discontentment with his personality. So you can't claim you want Biafra while making disparaging comments about the individual championing this cause and his followers. There is no evidence to show that majority of his followers are touts and visionless youths....you are merely relying on preconceived sentiments. What alternative have you and the so called intelligent Igbo group provided for the Igbos? Which igbo leader is courageous enough to ask for self actualization? It's not enough to make belligerent remarks about Kanu who in all honesty is the bravest and forthright igbo man in recent times. Go out there and offer igbos an option that will generate such heat, break protocols and draw international attention to the plight and desire of Igbos to have a country of their own. If you can't do as much, then your comments about him is inconsequential. |

I don't get this nonsense. I don't get why an igbo person will hold a political position in any parts of Lagos. |

izzou: Ogun state governor appoints Igbo man as permanent secretary. Ekiti state governor appoints Igbo, Urhobo men as members of board. Lagos state governor appoints Igbo, Hausa men as commissioners. Oyo state had Igbo special adviser Considering the above, even where election is not needed, we show love to Igbo people. Can we say the same about the Eastern leaders? My Sister shared her armed robbery experience with me some days ago. The thief asked "onye Igbo"? |

serverconnect:Don't worry. You will soon know the true owner of Lagos with this your assertion. The traders at Alaba know why they have to protect their source of income and hence decided join the ruling party by abandoning their erstwhile PDP. But you are here planting the seeds of discord. Their disposition during 2015 general elections was an Eye-opener to Tinubu and co. |

Omofunaab2:We arent talking about who owns anywhere. We are talking about his people giving him a reasonable number of votes that can make him win. Igbos dont own Alaba, Ojo or Festac but they dwell heavily there. Na highest number of votes dey win, no be who get the place. Thats just my point |
| Re: Alaba International Market Shut Down As Obosi Leads Igbo Coalition For APC by KemjikaEme: 10:21am On Jul 22, 2017 |
Omofunaab2:You can't compare Lagos, a melting pot of diverse Nigerian groups to Abakaliki wholly dominated by Igbo people. I asked a question which would invariably point to the differences between Lagos and Abakilili but i 'm suprised you couldn't respond but chose to call me daft. You are not being civil. Once again are Hausa people a majority group in Abakiliki like the Igbos of Lagos? Do they dominate any part of Abakiliki like Igbos in Ojo lga and Festac? Are they equal contributors in the affairs of Abakiliki? You can't compare Lagos and Abakilili. Igbos presence, contribution and population in Lagos can't be overemphasized, can't say the same for the Hausa in Abakiliki! |

Omofunaab2:I agree with most of your points here but u must remember that politics is a game of numbers. If fielding a Yoruba /Igbo ticket will help a party to win then they should go for it. Moreover, ipob does not represent igbos rather they are a gang of fools. Meanwhile i am an Igbo man. Ipob fools take note before you scream afonja. |

wristbangle:I have not disagreed with your point and i accepted that things like that happen, not just in the SE but all over the country. Do you know that a lot of Yoruba landlords don't rent to Igbo tenants? How do you explain that? I guess you will have a cogent point to exonerate Yoruba landlords. That's not to say that there are open minded Yoruba landlords and there are a lot of them. So, you see, these things are not peculiar to any region. |
| Re: Alaba International Market Shut Down As Obosi Leads Igbo Coalition For APC by slendxy: 10:30am On Jul 22, 2017 |
Afam4eva:Landed property is expensive in the South East but other tribes sees this as shutting them out of buying land in SE instead of seeing it for what it is; Igbos value landed property. The prize is not high because you are Yoruba or Hausa. Not many people have the gut to invest in real estate as the Igbos. They want us to sell our land to them kobo kobo before they know we sell to other tribes. |

wristbangle:1) You're a hypocrite, like your likes, so only Igbos exhibit Hate, your tribe has been very loving and caring towards Igbos 2) Igbos were given a Vice chairman slot in that area , not necessarily because of any bloody inclusion or accommodation rabble from your kinsmen, it is simply a Political move and calculation, I'm not amongst those that say Lagos is a no man's land or Igbos dominate Lagos, NO, but the fact is that some Areas in Lagos have a Larger or very significant Igbo Population more than Yoruba people and other Tribes, so the Yoruba politicians in those Area, NEED IGBO VOTES, no sentiments, just Politics, in order to do this the make such political decisions like the one you're seeing now. Even APC government in those areas, will want an Igbo man to win in their primaries, so the can present it to the masses, who are mainly Igbos... Politics it's a game of Numbers and interests, you can keep getting Emotional. 3) If you still believe Igbos don't sell land to other Tribes, you are the most ignorant person I have ever seen, I doubt you have ever been to any Igbo state, you just swallow rubbish information from your fellow bigots here Have any of your Family members tried to buy land in Igboland, and we didn't sell to you because you're Yoruba , do you have the money to buy land in Owerri, I can sell to you ![]() 4) While it's legal and okay for any Nigerian to contest Elections anywhere at any level, I must remind you that Election is a game of numbers and interests, so it's a bit strange for a Yoruba man to contest Elections in Mbaise, Imo State, how many Yorubas are resident in Mbaise ![]() How will he communicate effectively with them, nd you know these are political offices that are much closer to the masses. Igbos contests for Elections in places the feel the have a significant population, how many times have you heard about an Igbo person contesting Elections in Gombe state, is not as if Igbos are not in Gombe state, but their numbers are not significant enough to consider contesting for an Election. Lagos is a Yoruba land, I'm not arguing that, but deny it or not, the next tribe after Yoruba people in Lagos are Igbos.. There has not been any accurate research or census on this, but I assume that at least 20-30% of Lagos population should be Igbo people ,while foreigners are 10%, Yorubas 40%, Hausas 10-15%, other Tribes the remaining %%... So can you see why Igbos like to "make noise" in your opinion, about Lagos. I used to be resident in Lagos at a point in my life, I know what I'm saying |
